senza offesa per pavarotti...ma sta canzone in napoletano vero è tutta un' altra cosa...fin' ora la versione che piu mi piace è quella di claudio villa...anche perche i tenori allungano troppo le note per i miei gusti, modificano troppo i tempi...sta canzone ha un bel ritmo e quello deve essere per tutta la durata...secondo il mio gusto ovviamente...

This version of Torna a Surriento, with tenor Pavarotti, and Zubin Mehta as the conductor was my very first opera experience.

I remember spotting this clip on my father's desktop one day (must have been 10 or 11). Back then I did not even know what this beautiful Neapolitan song was called. But I was simply spellbound by the beauty of the performance. I kept playing and replaying it thinking this was beyond any singing I'd ever heard!

Well, I had to give you the thumb up, I agree with you 100% sadly I have only seen him once live at the MET and I was to take My wife in Calgary, He was a cancel due to health. This was due to cancer I found out later. I still have the original tickets. When he passed I cried for a week on and off. WHAT A GREAT VOICE HE WAS and I will miss the Mystro dearly.
