i have this phone. i like it but its really blocky unlike the blackberry curve 8900. it doesnt exactly fit in your hand its just really blocky. other than that its good. i also like how the messaging system is like a chat room

i like the trackball but if you want a blackberry, get the curve 8900. its a bit more expensive but it is worth it

As someone who has both the Blackjack and a BlackBerry (granted, I have the Bold, not the 8520) I can tell you that the BlackBerry OS is FAR better than Windows Mobile 6.1. Windows Mobile 6.1 is extremely frustrating to use.

This is a really bad phone.  I have the sister i617 model in the USA. I had three lines with each having this phone. All 3 were messed up within a yr. One would keep cutting off. One the screen messed up and the LCD crystal quit working in about 1/8th of the screen. The 3rd one's D-pad quit working. They are highly prone to viruses if you download music or ringtones! 2 of the 3have lost all data due to viruses.

Don't get this phone, I constantly have problems with mine..for example. I can barely lay the phone down on its back, and the phone will shut off, and you won't recieve the text you were about to get, nor will it send.

And if i were to rate this phone on texting, i would say 2/10.

another thing is that it also has a very bad delay while texting. I can type 2 sentences, and when I'm done, I'll still be sitting there watching the last sentence come up.

3/10 overall.

Get a blackberry.

Had a curve (stolen). It's a good phone, though WM 6 is definitely a plus for the Blackjack. Plan on getting a Blackjack II though. Honestly the buttons on the curve were small but suitable.
