My dad turned me onto to Foreigner about 4 years ago. I can say that this has become one of my favorite songs of all time. Wish I could have heard them when they first hit their prime in the 70s.
if we did not have youtube i would have been a test subject for a bunch of scientist for a time michine to go back to the 60s and 80s and never come back!
That bass riff at the beginning of the tune was one that made me what to be a 'JUKE BOX HERO";Too bad that dream didn't come true. At any rate, of all the up-tempo tunes that FOREIGNER ever did, this, by far, was their best. Believeth Thou It!
Like this song? Check out our single "More Than You Know" just listen to it for ten seconds and I can guarantee you'll get hooked :) Thanks a lot guys!!
Cool song, saw Foreigner In Vegas August 8th 2011 and Jukebox Hero was the last in the lineup. But, I don't think any of the original members were there. They still kicked ass, even though half the audience sat on their lazy, old, drunk asses.
To me, Foreigner isn't Foreigner without the absolutely amazing voice of Lou Gramm!! I will forever love all of his songs from both Foreigner and himself....you are awesome Lou...thanks for the many years of great music!
@superrmariofl98 you and me both technically i was born in the 70s but only lived in it for 8 months...i'm going to see these guys tomorow night w/ journey and night ranger....keep on rockin! :D
@HalestormMarz97 Look on the bright side. Being in 2011, we got YouTube. And it allows us to watch this awesome video any time, as many times we want.
@pcwMailG yeah, maybe could be.i like also Billy Idol ,technically not so strong but an incredible bariton voice. And of course Adam Lambert he can sing everything
one word CLASSIC, my children will one day know of the decade of this music as the best decade for music and say, those were the glory days of music ( i dont have kids , im only 15 but they will know of the the decade of actual music)
I was a freshman in highschool when this song came out. Next thing I know our choir teacher was teaching us this song in 4-part harmony. You can imagine how corny we made this song sound, but our choir teacher quickly became our hero! Thanks Mrs. Reid!!!
@silkencloud I agree. They are killing music classes all across this country. Music is a root to the soul. Hate to sound cheesy and political but our politicians better decide other ways to cut. More to come.
@dubya12825 The purpose of education is to instill not only the 3 R's of education, reading writing and arithimetic, but also a love of fine arts: music, theatre and art. We were lucky to have an amazing English teacher that taught us about the classics, opera, theatre, popular music of times(Beatles) and the love of dance. Cheers to Mr. Reid.
FOREIGNER is the very very best band on the whole wide world!!!!! Lou and Mick: get back together again!!! FOREIGNER´s "4" Album has the 3 very best songs on it: URGENT-WAITING FOR A GIRL LIKE YOU and JUKE BOX HERO......
I saw a "jukebox" a while back, didn't have records, CDs or even mp3's. It was connected to the Internet and you didn't drop a quarter in it. You swiped your credit card and got a song for $1.49, four for five bucks, and i think ten for $10. Oh, they times they have a'changed.

@sdnelson0708 yeah but being born after the fact just lets us know that music really is great and enduring. unlike most of the pop crap the radio spews out these days..
@sdnelson0708 me to iam 29 and my band plays rock and covers songs like this and bands like silvertide who do this shit can not be huge because rock is dead
I remember going to the Foreigner 4 concert in Abilene Texas. Bryan Adams, who opened up for them, was actually much better than I thought he was going to be. Also, that giant jukebox looks really cheesy now, but it seemed pretty cool at the time, and appeared to be a lot larger from down in the crowd. But, we were also caught up in the eye of some strange smelling cloud, so it could've just been that.
@nowovrit WOWO Fort Wayne Indiana! As a kid with an am radio, I could tune in to WOWO Fort Wayne Indiana some nights from Toronto. Canada.. Where the hell be South Bend Indiana? Is it under the Southern Cross?
