Been watching the finds there, and my chin is chapped! If that is a fresh find from the earth source that nugget is not pure yet, u need to leach it with nitric acid to remove the impurities like silver and copper and then smelt it in a crucible with borax acid. The result then is pure.

1 troy oz. = 31.1034 g.

Thus 10 kg=10000g = 321.508 troy oz.

And gold has been around $1000 an ounce lately so this nugget is worth about $321,000.

you're 99% accurate. only inaccuracy is that it's a nugget, therefore is not pure gold. so technically worth less, however, has a very HIGH collection value, therefore could be worth millions for someone who would buy it for novelty.

I calculated the price using the current gold price, about $850/oz. I only took the raw weight into consideration. I'm sure it would be worth more since it's a unique find.
