There seems to be some discrepancy here between what I see and what was in Mick Foley's book. 1) there is no disregard for the power bomb by the announcers, 2) Foley did not fight his way back to his feet in a goosebump stirring moment, and 3) he was power bombed on the padded wooden platform rather than the exposed concrete (which he had done a year prior in a match with Vader.)

So something is off somewhere either with Mick's memory of the bout or they did another one on World Wide.

@CombatSportFan I agree with you. I recently re-read Foley' book and have found many factual errors in it. No excederine headache 39 like in the book. I think he trashed WCW in his book because he was currently competing against them in the WWF.

@jre52301 It's possible, but I think most of it was subtle things rather than any outright lie. In this case I am thinking it must have been something along the lines of Mick confusing commentary for one match with another or something similar. Honestly the WCW announcers were never that bad until the Nitro era when Bischoff began having them focus on promotion rather than match calling.
