@santis142 hey man, these guys are national level lifters and I don't know for sure but, I doubt they have full time jobs to worry about. The Bulgarians used to train 3 times a day!
In comparison to the American method, the polish method looks a lot like the american style training with moderate volume and a variety of exercises. Can anyone explain the reason why the bulgarian method isn't used? Was the Bulgarian era simply that, and era. A piece of history. I'm interested because the new coach at the USOTC Zygmunt will should be coming in this fall. I'm trying to get a little background on his ideology. Anyone to fill me in?
@olympicstyles Actually there is no system of training to develop weightlifters in the U.S. The Polish system is based on the fomer Soviet Union's. Polish coaches based their system on the biomechanical research of Soviet scientitst's and coaches. This is evident since Zygmunt Smalcerz is now the resident coach in the U.S. and the lifters are getting drilled in proper technique and a volume most of them have never performed in training.
@vootman hey dude, i just wanna ask how olympic lifters train twice a day? Why is it different to bodybuilders, who train each muscle perhaps once a week?
@santis142 different intensity, different aimes (speed, strength etc) and a much better planing. No bodybuilder even knows about the weightlifting training method. Just ask a bodybuilder about periodisation. They will not know anything about it. Or the MAZ (Makrozyklus). You can not compare bodybuilding with weightlifting.
@santis142 it depends on the intensity and the reps/sets you are performing. It is not that easy to plan and create a weightlifting plan. A bodybuilder just plans one time in a year. one plan and thats it. allways the same reps and sets. But a weightlifting coach is planing every week, every day. As I said: it is very difficult to explain. That's the reason why there aren't that much weightlifting coaches. It is a long learning process to get through.
Poland never fails to produce some of the best heavier lifters ever.

@discipline1978 So you mean exercises like the clean and jerk and snatch don't give you sore muscles for a few days?

Epic, I like how the only sound is stomping and weights falling. Hypnotizing.

Impressive lifting! However, I would've liked to see women in action too. It's not like only mens' lifting is interesting and important.
