isn't it a mod that puts robot wars and battlebots arenas and robots into robot arena 2? is that what you used? what is tyhe name of the mod. oh, and cool video, it was quite amusing.
in my, personal opinion, the best Robot Wars machines were better than the best Battlebots ones, not by much though. in my opinion, the best RW robots on both drving skill, effectivness of weapons and track record: 1.Razer 2.Hypno Disc 3.Firestorm 4.Chaos 2 5.Storm 2 6.Dominator 2 7.Terrorhurtz 8.Panic Attack 9.Dantomkia 10.Tornado Battlebots fans, your best 10?
Absolutely! Here are my views on what the respective countries are better for.
The American robots like to focus more on inflicting All-out Destruction when building their robots, so the vast majority of the more well-known machines over there tend to be crazily destructive spinners.
The British Flippers however, are godly. Also, they tend to have more effective and numerous srimechs, and generally better drivers.
I do see that, but in that fight, Storm II clearly won in all the other three categories.
So effectively, if Damage renders all other categories null, then why have them?
And anyway, I still have a feeling that Mentorn fixed that battle. I mean, it's suspicious how they allowed Typhoon 2 to repair their weapon during the intermission when it damaged the arena(And didn't tell the judges), how they tried to disqualify Storm II after it beat Firestorm 5, and THAT dodgy Judge's decision...
Not true. The only spinners that well-known are Ziggo, Mauler, and (Super)Megabyte. Those are the only ones I know of that get a whole lot of infamy. Ziggo and Megabyte as they were good spinners, and Mauler was more because of how awful it became.
Why on earth they continued to field 5150 is beyond me.
Hmmm . This is exactly what i do . I go to the AI folder , pick a team , copy what ever bot ( they are labeled bot1.bot bot2.bot and so forth ) then I copy one of them and paste it in the Robot Designs folder. Then on my team HQ the bot is in the upload option.
HAHAHA . Watch HypnoDisc vs. 101 . HypnoDisc's spinning "srimech" stops the SECOND it hits 101. HAHAHAHAHA ! It is SO weak. Now take a look at Mechavore and tell me that it's weapon power is weaker then HypnoDisc .
Hey mate, stop being so biased against Robot Wars. Can you do another version of this where at least SOME of the Robot Wars competitors win? I think you should do:
T-Minus is a MW and isn't going to win against a HW flipper.
Backlash is a LW and would probably lose based on the sheer-size advantage of pussycat alone.
Firestorm would lose to Minion due to Minion being a SHW
Vlad and Panic would be an interesting fight, but Vlad is faster. It would have been interesting to see since they were both in the same tournament but never came in contact with each other due to Panic Attack getting eliminated in another match.
Actually, I find FireStorm could win against Minion, because Minion, as you know, has no self-righting mechanism, so if Firestorm could get there fast enough, he could get underneath him and knock him over.
The problem is flipper power, Firestorm does not have much power at all in its flipper and Minion is signifigantly heavier. Then again I'm talking about Real life and Minion really was only good when the SHW class was new.
Hrm really? Minion was the worst SHW to ever win anything anyway. It only ever won because the class was new and it was apparently very impromptu so a simple wedge with a weapon on its back was very capable at that time. Now it needs to be upgraded or scrapped since it lacks any real flipper protection.
You're not wrong there-I personally found Dreadnought a lot better, as it's invertable, almost as powerful and has two big discs instead of just one! Also, who do you think would win in a fight between Hammerhead 3 and The Matador?
I haven't seen that battle, I might check it out. However, that doesn't answer my question below, though. Who do you think would win in a fight between Hammerhead 3 and Minion?
Sure, that disc is powerful, but Hammerhead 3 is low to the ground and quite fast, so with some careful driving, Hammerhead could get around that disc, get to Minion's side and flip him over-He won't be getting up from that ^_^
(PS. I don't hate Minion, but I actually prefer Dreadnought)
Also , i dont know if it was you , but i made a vid of Minion Vs. Storm 2. I want to do a rematch though because it was more luck then anything when minion won.
Or maybe some more DSL match ups you could do for the next edition of this- *FireStorm vs. Minion *Storm II vs. BioHazard *Supernova vs. Mechavore *Bulldog Breed vs. Techno Destructo *Razer vs. The Judge *259 vs. Nightmare *Chaos 2 vs. T-Minus *Panic Attack vs. Vlad the Impaler *PussyCat vs. Complete Control Hope these help =P
What a bummer-I suppose if FireStorm did have a Havok Explosion (Yes, that is how it's spelt), you could rerecord the match? This is just a suggestion though, and I'll be looking forward to seeing the end result!
PS. If you do make those battles and post them, please may you mention me in the credits? Thanks =P
Ill control some RB bots this time , most likely Storm 2 . I might not do the Storm 2 Vs. Biohazard because in the game , it turned out really boring .
It certainly would be-Do you think you could do some other matches on RA2 DSL as well as those, such as- Storm II vs. Tazbot Tornado vs. T-Minus 259 vs. Nightmare Beta vs. The Judge S3 vs. Backlash And some Tag-Team matches: Chaos 2 and Firestorm vs. T-Minus and Techno-Destructo Storm II and Lightning vs. Mechavore and Ruiner Razer and Panic Attack vs. The Judge and Vlad the Impaler Hope these help! PS. Please let some UK robots win ^_^
That was the first version of Hypno Disc. It was having many technical problems at the time, and 101 is tougher than it looks. Also, the disc isn't the shrimech. It didn't get it till Series 4
I'd probably make a small bet that we'll see a few UK bots, maybe even some of the old RW bots who have been upgraded, also every bot must have an active weapon system so no more faceless wedges who do nothing.
P.S. If you had too thick or armor or didn't look stylish enough you were usually not allowed to compete, I guess a lot of those those people who came to compete didn't get rejected they just got lost and couldn't find the place. In Battlebots if you met the rules you could compete. P.S. You'll notice the fixing a bit more at some of the lower levels than the higher ones.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Tell that to Mechavore. The Robot Wars Arena had regular hockey lexan, not the strength that Battlebots had so they had more regulation on the kind of motor they could use, also if your bot didn't look good enough it got rejected whereas in battlebots EVERYONE got a chance to fight.
TDS used to know all about this. You can also see quite a bit in the early heats especially where bots with obvious flaws face the winners. Hyponodisc vs bots with paper thin armor, flippers vs bots without a srimech. House bots were occasionally used to fix the match as well. When the wrong bot was winning a house robot would come in to interfere occasionally.
They could not crush SOW, you never saw SOW in action. Also, Mechavore might have a bit of trouble with flippers but its flywheel tends to be virtually unstoppable and cut through the extra-thick lexan walls like they were paper by accident. Minion I hated and is out of the category. You really never saw Battlebots which was a real competition.
Some of the higher ups may have not been fixed like the finals where they just let them face off and saw who won, but if you watch the earlier rounds you'll see a lot of what I'm talking about. P.S. Name a fight where there was some serious shrapnel flying about like in some of the more devastating Battlebots competitions.
Robogeddon has the weakest armor I've ever seen. Razer did some decent damage I'll admit, but it was not really champion material when it competed in Battlebots. Fluffy had a good hit, but try Son of Whyachi vs Biohazard. Also, can't find S3 v Plunderbird.
P.S. I've reviewed the tapes, watch a best of battle bots video and tell me how often Robot Wars had those situations. It happened quite a bit in battle bots.
Are you joking?! Flippers like Wheely Big Cheese, Kronic the Wedgehog and Hammerhead 3 makes Toro's "lifter" look like that of a featherweight, Storm II and Tornado's raw power make Biohazard and Minion look like mice, and not forgetting Terrorhurtz-his axe make the Judge's "hammer" look like a toffee hammer.
And who could forget Razer and Bigger Brother/Little Sister from the UK? And did I mention that they both won Battlebots heavyweight rumbles?
The Judge actually ruined the floor in the battlebox numerous occasions. The floor is 1/4" steel. Also Toro is a super heavyweight and is lifting heavier objects than Chaos or Wheely. I never liked Minion and Biohazard was a bot I hated as well, but Nightmare tended to either destroy itself or destroy its opponent from its immensely overpowered flywheel which spun at over 300 MPH. Watch the classic Slam Job v Nightmare and tell me what Robot Wars bots can do that.
Well actually, Chaos 2 and Wheely Big Cheese are old robots now, and don't compete anymore. You should see what our current flippers, like Kronic the Wedgehog, Iron Awe 5, Hammerhead 3 and Envy are capable of-They'd have Toro out of the arena in no time. Terrorhurtz is also capable of ruining arena floors-At a charity event, It smashed holes in thick concrete!
Also, who do you think would win in these UK vs. USA battles? Razer vs. Tripulta Raptor Hammerhead 3 vs. The Matador 259 vs. Nightmare Storm II vs. Biohazard Panic Attack vs. Vlad the Impaler Typhoon 2 vs. Mauler 51-50 Kronic 4 vs. Hexy D Stinger vs. The Master Terrorhurtz vs. Frenzy Tornado vs. Killdozer Anarchy vs. Gammatron
Typhoon 2 now that its out of RW probably is fitted with better gear and it does well from what I saw. Mauler was great, but it was unreliable and always loved to die.
Killdozer is a SHW.
Storm II has no weapon?
If Nightmare doesn't destroy itself probably that one since its known for the 1 hit KO and for mandating roofs in robotic combat.
259's RW disc isn't powerful enough to self right. Nightmare's disc would probably destroy the floor as it tried to self right if flipped and still working.
Maybe they reduced the weight, but it was competing in SHW at one point. Mauler and Nightmare are both bots who either annihilate or fail catastrophicly. Nightmare's actually able to turn quicker than he looks. He looks like a slow brute but his turning ability is surprisingly good unless 259 really got a lucky shot. A lot of these fights can come down to drive as well as design, but generally RW bots were never allowed to reach their potential.
Seriously, what do you have against UK robots? Although American robots tend to be crazily destructive (With more spinners) and have made lots of Legendary names in Robot Combat, The UK robots TEND to have better drivers, more srimechs and godly flipper robots. Also, I generally find the UK robots more entertaining as they are usually actually fighting, and not playing just a big game of Minesweeper. Don't get me wrong-US robots are great, but without our help, Robot combat would have died out.
Robotic combat actually originated in America pretty much. RW outright rejected robots if they were too heavily armored, not stylish enough or too destructive. I don't like the fact that RW was not a straight competition and the fact that rules were even used as a bludgeon rather than as rules.
Alright ball sucker , i diddnt want to get involved but how could you say Mechavore sucks ? He destroyed Vlad , and even though Mechavore diddnt win , It held strong against Son of Wyachi. Hypno Disc wouldnt stand a snowballs chance in hell to Mechavore .
Which country first pioneered the proper self-righting mechanism on a robot? Great Britain.
Which country first made robots that could throw others out of the arena? Great Britain!
Which country added such legendary names to robot combat, such as Chaos 2, Razer, HypnoDisc, Storm II, Firestorm, Panic Attack and Typhoon 2? Great Britain!
Look, we all make fantastic robots, so get over yourself and stop bashing Robot Wars.
Battlebots just look like the better bots. Maybe its the lighting , but Robotwars bots are so cheap. Watch any robotwars vid with a bot with a spinning disc. The second it hits anything the disc stops . Then look at Mechavore, its disc kept spinning even when it was pressed down on the battlebot floor.
Looks aren't everything you know. Our robots can perform just as well as your robots can, and sometimes, even better. For instance, flippers like Kronic 4 and Hammerhead 3 make Toro's "lifter" look like that of a featherweight, Storm II's raw power makes Biohazard look like a mouse and British axes like Dominator 2 and Terrorhurtz make the Judge's "hammer" look like a toffee hammer.
Well, seeing as Battlebots is coming back on the Tellybox in November, It'd have to be Robot Wars. Also, I've grown up alongside Robot Wars, and it's been one of my life's ambitions to compete. In a few years, I should have the technical know-how to create a heavyweight, and enter the live events all over the UK, maybe even compete in the USA sometime! Watch this space ^_^
Battlebots have better armor for one and the Judge doesn't mostly go against bots with weak armor who are made to make him look more powerful than he is. Also the Judge could probably annihilate Terrorhurtz and Dominator 2 being a SHW. Toro also tends to really hurl bots. P.S. don't compare the versions running in RW with the outside of RW versions. Since then most of them were able to actually put in real gear and upped the power to comp levels.
I was talking about the outside of RW robots (Roaming Robots, Rebel Robots and Robots Live), anyway. And come on, there must be something you like about Robot Wars. I like both RW and BB, but I just prefer RW by just the width of a killsaw, and you can't change that, fanboy.
Not really. Those RW robots sometimes cost an awful lot of money, but good robots can be built on a budget. Look at 101 for example. It cost £1.01 (Hence the name), and it got to the Semi finals of series 3! The cost of a robot doesn't determine how good it is, you know.
I'm just biased against it because it was never a straight competition. I've actually talked to a guy who knows the people who run in those events and there's overwhelming evidence of the thing being stacked by producers, even using housebots. If TDS was here and interested he could go on for hours about it. RW is however watchable when I can't find Battlebots videos that are of good quality.
P.S. Robots outside of Robot Wars do not have the same restrictions or inhibitions and are therefore legitimate competitors in legitimate competitions. I can't argue against that part. I just remember the rules lists and such and the fact that robots had to be pretty much underpowered because instead of real thick lexan like in battlebots they had hockey lexan so a good pop from say Nightmare or Mechavore could cause a fatality or serious injury when debris punches through the thin lexan.
Also, the reason why I like Robot Wars more than Battlebots is the fact that I've grown up alongside Robot Wars, It introduced me to robot combat, and it's been one of my life's ambitions to compete. In a few years, I should have the technical know-how to create a heavyweight, and enter the live events all over the UK, maybe even compete in the USA sometime! Watch this space ^_^
Maybe, but it actually got stuck during many of its uses, requiring its opponent to knock it back down. Admittedly though, It was the first to attempt the act.
Cassius was the first robot to Self-right unassisted, and was also the first to have a weapon which doubled as a Self-righting Mechanism.
Its great to have someone interested in robotic combat, you might want to look at antweight and beetleweight classes too as they cost a lot less money to enter. You can buy an antweight starter kit for 300. some top-tier guys in heavyweight comps cost over 10,000 and if you want a serious motor those can run very expensive too. A good spinner motor can cost from 600-1000 at least.
I might start with a lightweight or a featherweight. We've got some good ones over here, such as Purse, Venom, Little Hitter, Tidal Wave, Mini Mouse and other such small but awesome machines ^_^
Yeah wow good names! Also, throwing out of the arena was impossible in BB since the arena had no pits and was walled in. They did however throw debris out of the box with one of the bots though.
P.S. I don't hate British bots, I love Warhead and the post-RW version of Typhoon is very powerful.
mortis is easy to make just create the judge but paint it black and give it tracks and u got yourself a series 1 of mortis or paint it white for series 2 mortis!
There's something I've got to say about BB vs. RW in real life. Although a lot of the American robots are to be insanely powerful, the British robots tend to have better drivers, more scrimechs and godly flipper and crusher robots. Also, here are more battles I'd like to see if BB and RW robots actually went head-to-head:
What I think would happen if these bots fought in real life- Mechavore probably would lose. Hypno Disc has the bigger spinned but Mechavore is better built IMO. TD would beat Chaos hands down and Judge would definatly beat Dominator.
Are you kidding me ?!?!?! With the exception of Chaos 2 , Hypno Disc , and i guess some of the House Bots. Battlebots are better built; like Biohazard, Ziggo , Minion , The Judge, Toro, and Vladiator, those bots took months to build and the power of those bots are superior to any Robot Wars bots.
you're forgetting- Wheely Big Cheese's flipper makes Toro's look like a featherweight's, storm II's power makes biohazard look like a mouse, and you are DEFINITLY forgetting terrorhurtz--- their axe makes the judge's look like a tooth pick. and then there's the big brother/little sister team from the UK- didn't they actually WIN a BB trophy once?
I'll give you Disector, but Minion isn't better built. It's just a wedge with a disc on the back. Storm II is similar to Biohazer with invertiability and much more powerful motors. And what about Razer and Saint Agro? They're worth mentioning.
Both made by the same guy. Vlad is extremely bulky and has hardly changed (last I checked) since 1996. Vladiator's good though, I guess. However, RW also has robots like Pussycat, Stinger, Behemoth, Firestorm, Dominator, Exterminator 3, Big Nipper, Wheely Big Cheese, Suicidal Tendencies, Atomic and it also proves that a robot doesn't have to be good to be entertaining, like Diotoir.
BattleBots has very entertaining bots , Tazbot , Overkill , Toro , frenZy , and Mauler 51-50. Thats another thing , i have never seen ANY spinners on RW that could do as much damage as Ziggo or Son of Wyachi OR hands down one of the best bots ever , Hazard.
ARE YOU JOKING??? TYPHOON 2 WAS UNBELEIVABLY POWERFUL! one rotating bar against a whole, 98kg, 100mph spinning body? hmm, i wonder who would win. and you're forgetting vertical spinners we had like 259 and x-terminator. then of course, the razer team built warhead, who IF YOU KNOW YOU'RE BATTLEBOTS tore nightmare apart.
Remember that Nightmare has exposed wheels that tend to fly off quite easily (Warhead and Son of Whyachi proved that to us) and is rather slow, 259 (With a little bit of careful driving) could either tear off the wheels or knock it over by hitting it from the sides...
Although Nightmare is indeed a pretty cool robot, 259 is far better, to be honest with you (^_^)
Razer & Hypno Disc would destroy the judge , but Mechavore would destroy Razor and Hypno Disc. T-minus is a middle weight so its kind of unfair but that would be a good match. The last match would be awesome to see, but ( go figure) I think Biohazard and Killdozer would beat them.
I agree with you on the first part of match one, but if Razer could grab one side of Mechavore quickly enough, HypnoDisc would make quick work of it by attacking it from the other side.
In the second match, I personally think that Chaos 2 and Bulldog Breed could team up and turn over TechnoDestructo (It sometimes has trouble self-righting), and T-Minus is light, so he'd be soon out of the arena.
I love Biohazard and Killdozer, but I really don't think they could catch Storm II and Tornado.
Biohazard could get beat by Storm II and Tornado , because Biohazard has a slower moving lifting arm. Killdozer can be flipped and keep going , and Killdozer uses similar tactics to win matches as Tornado and Storm II , and Killdozer has more engine power then Tornado ,and by a hair ,more then Storm II
I'll give you the fact that Killdozer is stronger than Tornado, but I think Storm II is stronger still...Have you ever seen KD smash a 100kg robot into the side barriers and flipping it over them in the process?
Storm II isn't the Robot Wars World Champion for nothing, you know!
I still find robots like Warhead and S3 could take down Nightmare easily.
Also, I just found these battles one-sided and boring, to be honest with you. You can tell who wins instantly by looking at the description and the one you're controlling.
And WHY THE HELL did Techno Destructo beat Chaos 2? Chaos 2 is far better than that piece of crap TC!
Can you make one where the Robot Wars competitors win, please? Or are are you too much of a BB fanboy?
y brother asked me what awesome was i made him play this game well bro theres youre answer

You can download it at Gametechmods under the "Downloads" section.

In the UK, the engineers tend to think about how to build them and have extremely well built robots, or they just build plain comedic robots.
In the US they tend to think "ok, big blade + wheels = done" they dont think the robots through that much.
Americans generally prefer battlebots as it is EXTREMELY americanised. while the rest of the world prefers Robot wars as its not as "tacky"

you have to look at the super heavy weight bots, some of them could kill you.

You go to the AI folder and drag a bot folder in the Robot Designs folder.

Hey mate, stop being so biased against Robot Wars. Can you do another version of this where at least SOME of the Robot Wars competitors win? I think you should do:
Storm II vs. Biohazard
Behemoth vs. Killdozer
Bulldog Breed vs. T-Minus
Pussycat vs. Backlash
FireStorm vs. Minion
Panic Attack vs. Vlad the Impaler
RobotwarsKing 3 years ago
T-Minus is a MW and isn't going to win against a HW flipper.
Backlash is a LW and would probably lose based on the sheer-size advantage of pussycat alone.
Firestorm would lose to Minion due to Minion being a SHW
Vlad and Panic would be an interesting fight, but Vlad is faster. It would have been interesting to see since they were both in the same tournament but never came in contact with each other due to Panic Attack getting eliminated in another match.
Makron5 3 years ago

RobotwarsKing 3 years ago
Minion can self right , When he faced The Judge , it was the piece the Judge knocked off.
Mechavore 3 years ago
I haven't seen that battle, I might check it out. However, that doesn't answer my question below, though. Who do you think would win in a fight between Hammerhead 3 and Minion?
RobotwarsKing 3 years ago
I say Minion because that disc Minion has can cut through anything.
Mechavore 3 years ago
Sure, that disc is powerful, but Hammerhead 3 is low to the ground and quite fast, so with some careful driving, Hammerhead could get around that disc, get to Minion's side and flip him over-He won't be getting up from that ^_^
(PS. I don't hate Minion, but I actually prefer Dreadnought)
RobotwarsKing 3 years ago
Dreadnought is very good , its a shame we diddnt see to much of it.

Hurrah! Be sure that some of the British robots win ^_^
RobotwarsKing 3 years ago
Ill control some RB bots this time , most likely Storm 2 . I might not do the Storm 2 Vs. Biohazard because in the game , it turned out really boring .
Mechavore 3 years ago
Thank you! Please post the Storm II vs. Biohazard battle anyway, I don't mind ^_^
RobotwarsKing 3 years ago
Also Mechavore, good news! I've finally installed RA2 DSL properly! I just flipped Sir Killalot into the pit with Storm II ^_^
RobotwarsKing 3 years ago
Biohazard sucks in this game. ( thats why i never do vids of it ) . Minion vs Firestorm would be awesome , but Firestorm glitches alot in this game.
Mechavore 3 years ago
You should try integrating music and commentary some time in the video like I tried to do.

pussycat and panic attack vs vlad1 and hexy D
storm ii and tornado vs biohazard and SOW
259 and S3 vs nightmare and mauler
sumpthing and stinger vs master and mechavore
hypno disk and fluffy vs MOE and surgeon genaral
P.S. can you make the corect wieght divisoins for once(forever)
Keurgui1 3 years ago
That was the first version of Hypno Disc. It was having many technical problems at the time, and 101 is tougher than it looks. Also, the disc isn't the shrimech. It didn't get it till Series 4
zelda3908 3 years ago
that's what i said p.s. are you a girl

No, I'm a guy. If I was a girl, I'd be "RobotwarsQueen"...

not you!!! zelda3####
Keurgui1 3 years ago
Oh! Sorry about that =P
RobotwarsKing 3 years ago
Flipper robots are boring to watch. Spinners is where it's at.
Battlebots is coming back next year...wonder if we will see any UK robots?
mauleriscool 3 years ago
I'd probably make a small bet that we'll see a few UK bots, maybe even some of the old RW bots who have been upgraded, also every bot must have an active weapon system so no more faceless wedges who do nothing.
Makron5 3 years ago
Makron5 3 years ago
This comment has received too many negative votes show
Battlebots had better bots period. The Robot Wars bots are forced to be underpowered and apparently its stacked by the producers.
Makron5 3 years ago
can you tell that to hypno disk storm 2 tornado typhoon panic attack and pussycat
Keurgui1 3 years ago
This comment has received too many negative votes show
Tell that to Mechavore. The Robot Wars Arena had regular hockey lexan, not the strength that Battlebots had so they had more regulation on the kind of motor they could use, also if your bot didn't look good enough it got rejected whereas in battlebots EVERYONE got a chance to fight.
Makron5 3 years ago
so? that does not mean all those bots are underpower
Keurgui1 3 years ago
TDS used to know all about this. You can also see quite a bit in the early heats especially where bots with obvious flaws face the winners. Hyponodisc vs bots with paper thin armor, flippers vs bots without a srimech. House bots were occasionally used to fix the match as well. When the wrong bot was winning a house robot would come in to interfere occasionally.
Makron5 3 years ago
#1 flippers don't fight robots with know srimech if so ther would not be any srimechs
#2housebots never interfear maybe occsionaly but not all the time
# 3 the bots i listed can crush mechavore and minon and SOW
Keurgui1 3 years ago
They could not crush SOW, you never saw SOW in action. Also, Mechavore might have a bit of trouble with flippers but its flywheel tends to be virtually unstoppable and cut through the extra-thick lexan walls like they were paper by accident. Minion I hated and is out of the category. You really never saw Battlebots which was a real competition.
Makron5 3 years ago
but if they could get underneath SOW then they would
Keurgui1 3 years ago
Some of the higher ups may have not been fixed like the finals where they just let them face off and saw who won, but if you watch the earlier rounds you'll see a lot of what I'm talking about. P.S. Name a fight where there was some serious shrapnel flying about like in some of the more devastating Battlebots competitions.
Makron5 3 years ago
HypnoDisc vs. Robogeddon
Fluffy vs. 259
Razer vs. Widow's Revenge
S3 vs. Plunderbird 5
Pussycat vs. Razer
Mortis vs. Ghetto-Bot
RobotwarsKing 3 years ago
Robogeddon has the weakest armor I've ever seen. Razer did some decent damage I'll admit, but it was not really champion material when it competed in Battlebots. Fluffy had a good hit, but try Son of Whyachi vs Biohazard. Also, can't find S3 v Plunderbird.
Makron5 3 years ago
My views on your comments-
* HypnoDisc has also done horrendous damage to robots like Atomic, Bigger Brother, Stealth and several others besides.
* Razer won the heavyweight rumble that year, so at least he achieved something stateside ^_^
* I've already seen SOW vs. Biohazard, and I didn't see too much damage.
* You can find S3 vs. Plunderbird in a Plunderbird tribute video-I think you can access it by searching for "Plunderbird Tribute" here on Youtube.
RobotwarsKing 3 years ago
P.S. I've reviewed the tapes, watch a best of battle bots video and tell me how often Robot Wars had those situations. It happened quite a bit in battle bots.
Makron5 3 years ago
Are you joking?! Flippers like Wheely Big Cheese, Kronic the Wedgehog and Hammerhead 3 makes Toro's "lifter" look like that of a featherweight, Storm II and Tornado's raw power make Biohazard and Minion look like mice, and not forgetting Terrorhurtz-his axe make the Judge's "hammer" look like a toffee hammer.
And who could forget Razer and Bigger Brother/Little Sister from the UK? And did I mention that they both won Battlebots heavyweight rumbles?
RobotwarsKing 3 years ago
The Judge actually ruined the floor in the battlebox numerous occasions. The floor is 1/4" steel. Also Toro is a super heavyweight and is lifting heavier objects than Chaos or Wheely. I never liked Minion and Biohazard was a bot I hated as well, but Nightmare tended to either destroy itself or destroy its opponent from its immensely overpowered flywheel which spun at over 300 MPH. Watch the classic Slam Job v Nightmare and tell me what Robot Wars bots can do that.
Makron5 3 years ago
Well actually, Chaos 2 and Wheely Big Cheese are old robots now, and don't compete anymore. You should see what our current flippers, like Kronic the Wedgehog, Iron Awe 5, Hammerhead 3 and Envy are capable of-They'd have Toro out of the arena in no time. Terrorhurtz is also capable of ruining arena floors-At a charity event, It smashed holes in thick concrete!
And an answer to your question? 259.
RobotwarsKing 3 years ago
RobotwarsKing 3 years ago
Tripulta Raptor is a different weight class.
Makron5 3 years ago
259's RW disc isn't powerful enough to self right. Nightmare's disc would probably destroy the floor as it tried to self right if flipped and still working.
Makron5 3 years ago
nightmare would be crying to it's mommy
Keurgui1 3 years ago
* Last time I saw TR, it was heavyweight-It says so on Team Nightmare's website.
* And Mauler's good at breakdancing as well (Mauler vs. Bigger Brother) ^_^
* Last time I saw KD, it was heavyweight-It says so on Team Nightmare's website.
* Storm II does have a weapon that it's had for a while-a lifting arm.
* Another problem with Nightmare is that it's very slow, so 259 could get round Nightmare and chew his wheels up.
RobotwarsKing 3 years ago
Maybe they reduced the weight, but it was competing in SHW at one point. Mauler and Nightmare are both bots who either annihilate or fail catastrophicly. Nightmare's actually able to turn quicker than he looks. He looks like a slow brute but his turning ability is surprisingly good unless 259 really got a lucky shot. A lot of these fights can come down to drive as well as design, but generally RW bots were never allowed to reach their potential.
Makron5 3 years ago
Seriously, what do you have against UK robots? Although American robots tend to be crazily destructive (With more spinners) and have made lots of Legendary names in Robot Combat, The UK robots TEND to have better drivers, more srimechs and godly flipper robots. Also, I generally find the UK robots more entertaining as they are usually actually fighting, and not playing just a big game of Minesweeper. Don't get me wrong-US robots are great, but without our help, Robot combat would have died out.
RobotwarsKing 3 years ago
Robotic combat actually originated in America pretty much. RW outright rejected robots if they were too heavily armored, not stylish enough or too destructive. I don't like the fact that RW was not a straight competition and the fact that rules were even used as a bludgeon rather than as rules.
Makron5 3 years ago
...err your clearly wrong cause hypno and tornado show no mecry and mechavore sucks
Keurgui1 3 years ago
Alright ball sucker , i diddnt want to get involved but how could you say Mechavore sucks ? He destroyed Vlad , and even though Mechavore diddnt win , It held strong against Son of Wyachi. Hypno Disc wouldnt stand a snowballs chance in hell to Mechavore .
Mechavore 3 years ago
you're blind or something cause hyono disk has a srimech and mechavore has a tiny little disk
Keurgui1 3 years ago
What is it you have against British robots?
Which country first pioneered the proper self-righting mechanism on a robot? Great Britain.
Which country first made robots that could throw others out of the arena? Great Britain!
Which country added such legendary names to robot combat, such as Chaos 2, Razer, HypnoDisc, Storm II, Firestorm, Panic Attack and Typhoon 2? Great Britain!
Look, we all make fantastic robots, so get over yourself and stop bashing Robot Wars.
RobotwarsKing 3 years ago
Battlebots just look like the better bots. Maybe its the lighting , but Robotwars bots are so cheap. Watch any robotwars vid with a bot with a spinning disc. The second it hits anything the disc stops . Then look at Mechavore, its disc kept spinning even when it was pressed down on the battlebot floor.
Mechavore 3 years ago
Looks aren't everything you know. Our robots can perform just as well as your robots can, and sometimes, even better. For instance, flippers like Kronic 4 and Hammerhead 3 make Toro's "lifter" look like that of a featherweight, Storm II's raw power makes Biohazard look like a mouse and British axes like Dominator 2 and Terrorhurtz make the Judge's "hammer" look like a toffee hammer.
RobotwarsKing 3 years ago
I know looks arnt everything. I love robotwars and love battlebots. but if i could have one come back on tv , i would pick BB
Mechavore 3 years ago
Well, seeing as Battlebots is coming back on the Tellybox in November, It'd have to be Robot Wars. Also, I've grown up alongside Robot Wars, and it's been one of my life's ambitions to compete. In a few years, I should have the technical know-how to create a heavyweight, and enter the live events all over the UK, maybe even compete in the USA sometime! Watch this space ^_^
RobotwarsKing 3 years ago
Battlebots have better armor for one and the Judge doesn't mostly go against bots with weak armor who are made to make him look more powerful than he is. Also the Judge could probably annihilate Terrorhurtz and Dominator 2 being a SHW. Toro also tends to really hurl bots. P.S. don't compare the versions running in RW with the outside of RW versions. Since then most of them were able to actually put in real gear and upped the power to comp levels.
Makron5 3 years ago
I was talking about the outside of RW robots (Roaming Robots, Rebel Robots and Robots Live), anyway. And come on, there must be something you like about Robot Wars. I like both RW and BB, but I just prefer RW by just the width of a killsaw, and you can't change that, fanboy.
RobotwarsKing 3 years ago
Not really. Those RW robots sometimes cost an awful lot of money, but good robots can be built on a budget. Look at 101 for example. It cost £1.01 (Hence the name), and it got to the Semi finals of series 3! The cost of a robot doesn't determine how good it is, you know.
RobotwarsKing 3 years ago
I'm just biased against it because it was never a straight competition. I've actually talked to a guy who knows the people who run in those events and there's overwhelming evidence of the thing being stacked by producers, even using housebots. If TDS was here and interested he could go on for hours about it. RW is however watchable when I can't find Battlebots videos that are of good quality.
Makron5 3 years ago
Makron5 3 years ago
err mechavoer yawn RW has tornado pussycat razer and typhoon
Keurgui1 3 years ago
I will honestly bet my LIFE that Mechavore would beat Razer.
Mechavore 3 years ago
than give me the deed to your house
Keurgui1 3 years ago
Also, the reason why I like Robot Wars more than Battlebots is the fact that I've grown up alongside Robot Wars, It introduced me to robot combat, and it's been one of my life's ambitions to compete. In a few years, I should have the technical know-how to create a heavyweight, and enter the live events all over the UK, maybe even compete in the USA sometime! Watch this space ^_^
RobotwarsKing 3 years ago
Actually Srimech might belong to Vlad, that's the earliest example in Battlebots 1.0 in August 1999.
Makron5 3 years ago
Maybe, but it actually got stuck during many of its uses, requiring its opponent to knock it back down. Admittedly though, It was the first to attempt the act.
Cassius was the first robot to Self-right unassisted, and was also the first to have a weapon which doubled as a Self-righting Mechanism.
RobotwarsKing 2 years ago
Its great to have someone interested in robotic combat, you might want to look at antweight and beetleweight classes too as they cost a lot less money to enter. You can buy an antweight starter kit for 300. some top-tier guys in heavyweight comps cost over 10,000 and if you want a serious motor those can run very expensive too. A good spinner motor can cost from 600-1000 at least.
Makron5 3 years ago
I might start with a lightweight or a featherweight. We've got some good ones over here, such as Purse, Venom, Little Hitter, Tidal Wave, Mini Mouse and other such small but awesome machines ^_^
RobotwarsKing 3 years ago
Yeah wow good names! Also, throwing out of the arena was impossible in BB since the arena had no pits and was walled in. They did however throw debris out of the box with one of the bots though.
P.S. I don't hate British bots, I love Warhead and the post-RW version of Typhoon is very powerful.
Makron5 3 years ago
Actually, Biohazard had the first working Shrimech
zelda3908 3 years ago
I know, but Cassius was the first CO2 flipper robot to manage it, and the second ever robot to do it.
RobotwarsKing 3 years ago
hi this vid is great could you be able to mortis on robot arena 2?
darkwizard413 3 years ago
If your talking about having Mortis in the game , all it is I make it or not.
Mechavore 3 years ago
mortis is easy to make just create the judge but paint it black and give it tracks and u got yourself a series 1 of mortis or paint it white for series 2 mortis!
darkwizard413 3 years ago
Uhuh. Three robots. Storm II, Razer and Firestorm 5.
RobotwarsKing 3 years ago
There's something I've got to say about BB vs. RW in real life. Although a lot of the American robots are to be insanely powerful, the British robots tend to have better drivers, more scrimechs and godly flipper and crusher robots. Also, here are more battles I'd like to see if BB and RW robots actually went head-to-head:
Envy vs. The Judge
Kronic 4 vs. The Matador
259 vs. Nightmare
Panic Attack vs. Vlad the Impaler
SuperNova vs. M.O.E
Razer vs. Gamma Raptor
Storm II vs. BioHazard
RobotwarsKing 3 years ago
PA would kill vlad
Keurgui1 3 years ago 5
Also, I have suggestions for battles I'd like to see if you did another video like this (In which at least SOME Robot Wars competitors win)
Storm II vs. Biohazard
Panic Attack vs. Vlad the Impaler
Typhoon 2 vs. Shrederator
Firestorm 5 vs. Tazbot
Razer vs. The Judge
HypnoDisc vs. M.O.E
Chaos 2 vs. T-Minus
Just remember that without the UK's help, Robot combat would have died out with the Cabbage Patch dolls...
(Sorry about this repeated post)
RobotwarsKing 3 years ago
What I think would happen if these bots fought in real life- Mechavore probably would lose. Hypno Disc has the bigger spinned but Mechavore is better built IMO. TD would beat Chaos hands down and Judge would definatly beat Dominator.
ScrapDadddy 3 years ago 6
robot wars is 1,000,000 times better than batlebots u idiot!!
robotwarsfan03 3 years ago 14
I still like Robot Wars better...
davidmingming 3 years ago 8
in real life the RW robots would own anyday.
tourdeforce17 3 years ago 4
Are you kidding me ?!?!?! With the exception of Chaos 2 , Hypno Disc , and i guess some of the House Bots. Battlebots are better built; like Biohazard, Ziggo , Minion , The Judge, Toro, and Vladiator, those bots took months to build and the power of those bots are superior to any Robot Wars bots.
Mechavore 3 years ago
you're forgetting- Wheely Big Cheese's flipper makes Toro's look like a featherweight's, storm II's power makes biohazard look like a mouse, and you are DEFINITLY forgetting terrorhurtz--- their axe makes the judge's look like a tooth pick. and then there's the big brother/little sister team from the UK- didn't they actually WIN a BB trophy once?
tourdeforce17 3 years ago
yah but its more than one bot i mean Battlebots have legends like Minion and ziggo
viper90988 3 years ago
Robot Wars has a lot more legends
zelda3908 3 years ago 4
Robot Wars had bots made of WOOD for christ sake ! ! ! !
Mechavore 3 years ago
So Robot Wars let a few more idiots in. If more people competed in a single series of Battlebots, I'm sure there'd have been wooden robots too.
zelda3908 3 years ago 2
Im sure they would too, all im saying is ,Battlebots are the better built bot , smarter designs.
Mechavore 3 years ago
Uhuh. Three robots. Tornado, Anarchy and Eleven.
zelda3908 3 years ago
Uhuh. Three Robots. Minion,Biohazard,and Diesector.
Mechavore 3 years ago
I'll give you Disector, but Minion isn't better built. It's just a wedge with a disc on the back. Storm II is similar to Biohazer with invertiability and much more powerful motors. And what about Razer and Saint Agro? They're worth mentioning.
zelda3908 3 years ago
Razer is good, need i mention Vlad The Impaler ? Or Vladiator ?
Mechavore 3 years ago
Both made by the same guy. Vlad is extremely bulky and has hardly changed (last I checked) since 1996. Vladiator's good though, I guess. However, RW also has robots like Pussycat, Stinger, Behemoth, Firestorm, Dominator, Exterminator 3, Big Nipper, Wheely Big Cheese, Suicidal Tendencies, Atomic and it also proves that a robot doesn't have to be good to be entertaining, like Diotoir.
zelda3908 3 years ago 2
BattleBots has very entertaining bots , Tazbot , Overkill , Toro , frenZy , and Mauler 51-50. Thats another thing , i have never seen ANY spinners on RW that could do as much damage as Ziggo or Son of Wyachi OR hands down one of the best bots ever , Hazard.
Mechavore 3 years ago
Typhoon, Hypno Disc and Terrorhurtz
zelda3908 3 years ago
Hypno Disc and Terrorhutz are very good , but Typhoon ? Hazard will rip Typhoon apart anyday
Mechavore 3 years ago
ARE YOU JOKING??? TYPHOON 2 WAS UNBELEIVABLY POWERFUL! one rotating bar against a whole, 98kg, 100mph spinning body? hmm, i wonder who would win. and you're forgetting vertical spinners we had like 259 and x-terminator. then of course, the razer team built warhead, who IF YOU KNOW YOU'RE BATTLEBOTS tore nightmare apart.
tourdeforce17 3 years ago 16
Warhead is really a great bot , but there is no comparing Nightmare to 259
Mechavore 3 years ago
Yeah, like the bigger robot is better? Nightmare is pretty sluggish and with some careful driving 259 would easily slice Nightmares wheels up
zelda3908 3 years ago 7
Have you seen what Nightmare has done to other bots ? Given Nightmare has been smashed up. Nightmare would rip 259 apart.
Mechavore 3 years ago
ScrapDaddy's got a point you know. Bigger doesn't always mean better. I personally think that Ziggo could own Nightmare.
RobotwarsKing 3 years ago
Remember that Nightmare has exposed wheels that tend to fly off quite easily (Warhead and Son of Whyachi proved that to us) and is rather slow, 259 (With a little bit of careful driving) could either tear off the wheels or knock it over by hitting it from the sides...
Although Nightmare is indeed a pretty cool robot, 259 is far better, to be honest with you (^_^)
RobotwarsKing 3 years ago
mauler proved it too
Keurgui1 3 years ago
259 was DEFINATLY better than Nightmare.
ScrapDadddy 3 years ago 12
Exactly! And they're in the same weight class too, so they could battle in real life. Some battles I'd like to see:
Razer and HypnoDisc vs. The Judge and Mechavore
Chaos 2 and Bulldog Breed vs. TechnoDestructo and T-Minus
Storm II and Tornado vs. Biohazard and KillDozer
RobotwarsKing 3 years ago
Razer & Hypno Disc would destroy the judge , but Mechavore would destroy Razor and Hypno Disc. T-minus is a middle weight so its kind of unfair but that would be a good match. The last match would be awesome to see, but ( go figure) I think Biohazard and Killdozer would beat them.
Mechavore 3 years ago
I agree with you on the first part of match one, but if Razer could grab one side of Mechavore quickly enough, HypnoDisc would make quick work of it by attacking it from the other side.
In the second match, I personally think that Chaos 2 and Bulldog Breed could team up and turn over TechnoDestructo (It sometimes has trouble self-righting), and T-Minus is light, so he'd be soon out of the arena.
I love Biohazard and Killdozer, but I really don't think they could catch Storm II and Tornado.
RobotwarsKing 3 years ago
Biohazard could get beat by Storm II and Tornado , because Biohazard has a slower moving lifting arm. Killdozer can be flipped and keep going , and Killdozer uses similar tactics to win matches as Tornado and Storm II , and Killdozer has more engine power then Tornado ,and by a hair ,more then Storm II
Mechavore 3 years ago
I'll give you the fact that Killdozer is stronger than Tornado, but I think Storm II is stronger still...Have you ever seen KD smash a 100kg robot into the side barriers and flipping it over them in the process?
Storm II isn't the Robot Wars World Champion for nothing, you know!
RobotwarsKing 3 years ago
Biohazard can't win against them
Keurgui1 2 years ago
Also, I have suggestions for battles I'd like to see if you did another video like this (In which at least SOME Robot Wars competitors win)
Storm II vs. Biohazard
Panic Attack vs. Vlad the Impaler
Typhoon 2 vs. Shrederator
Firestorm 5 vs. Tazbot
Razer vs. The Judge
HypnoDisc vs. M.O.E
Chaos 2 vs. T-Minus
Just remember that without the UK's help, Robot combat would have died out with the Cabbage Patch dolls...
RobotwarsKing 3 years ago
nightmare has exposed wheels
Keurgui1 3 years ago 2
I still find robots like Warhead and S3 could take down Nightmare easily.
Also, I just found these battles one-sided and boring, to be honest with you. You can tell who wins instantly by looking at the description and the one you're controlling.
And WHY THE HELL did Techno Destructo beat Chaos 2? Chaos 2 is far better than that piece of crap TC!
Can you make one where the Robot Wars competitors win, please? Or are are you too much of a BB fanboy?
RobotwarsKing 3 years ago
