yes your card is better then mine but I think my dual core e8400 is beast enough to handle it. Of course it is not the best though. Idk but the next time I upgrade my GPU I was considering somthin in the 200 series maybe like a gtx275 or somthin ( if it would fit my case )

I have 2 gigs ddr3, geforce 7900 256mb, amd 3200 duo at 1440x900 pixels and when I run on medium im getting around 30 fps constantly, which is definitely playable, and my rig was maybe a few hundred when I got it a couple of years ago. This game on medium still looks better than new games in my opinion. If you do want a VERY cheap but playable gaming system I would get something similar to mine.

Thats Pretty cheap, MINUS what you can harvest from your old one like dvd drives and hard drives, or possible processor and YOU can move up from Medium to very high Direct-X10 on 1900X1200 with no AA.

dude you need a sick rig if you wanna play this game at max settings. i'm pushing 6 gigs of ram, dual 9800GTX's and a quad core intel...you need something similar to that. not to that extreme but in that ball park

yeah to enjoy crysis on a good resolution like 1920x1080 you need something similar to that

but what i would get is

C2D E8400 cpu

4gig ddr2 1066mhz ram

GTX 260 sli

its all about the graphics card/s you wont get any better results if you swapped the cpu to core i7 920 or an extreme quad core

they are all 99% the same in core vs core

and right now 2 is all you need :)

yeah i've noticed that the quad's don't give you a huge performance boost over the duals. marginal at best. who knows maybe later down the line they'll design software to better utilize all 4 cores

You don't need THAT high of specs.

I've ran it on high settings with a 512MB 9600GT and a 2.8GHZ Pentium 4. but if you want to run it at higher resolutions i could understand.

if you did run it on that card you may have not of been running the highest resolution.

@djkub1 ive got a 9800gtx that i overclocked, and it runs nicely on very high. the thing that i never realized was that its actually very cpu limited. i got a new phenom II and my frames doubled

Yes. There is an installer in the the Program Files, and then after it's installed go to the Bin32 folder to open it (Editor.exe)
