  • Sorry to hear about that girl... we've spent our whole lives trying to avoid getting lazers shot at ours faces, and and yet we pay someone to do it.

  • Sorry to hear about your laser experience. I got my laser done at a place in Old Town Alexandria called Alternative Health Associates. I get my electrolysis done there too. Very great staff and trans friendly and good pricing. They actually give you a discount if you're trans for laser. I hope your job hunt goes well too.

  • A good friend of mine once told me, "Tough times dont last, but tough people do"

    Keep on truckin lil' miss!!!

  • why the fuck are you wearing a dress? Fancy dress party or what???

  • You are a doll. You should be so proud of yourself. I admire you so much.

  • It appears from all these comments that people seem to think that you have turned into a pretty little thing. Well it appears i'd have to agree with them. Great decision in having the bravery to be what you are. Shame there have been no updates for a very long time though. Best Wishes.

  • Ouch!

I am in the process of laser hair removal now, and just begun taking hormones a few days ago =)

    You are very cute =)

  • Hi Ashley,

I hope everything's going well for you and that everything proceeds as you wish. Hope to see more of you soon.

  • Laser works for some people and not for others, and it's not just a matter of your hair color and complexion. I have dark brown hair and very light skin, did 7 clearings with IPL and got almost total regrowth within 18 mos. Sometimes it takes a while for the hair to regenerate itself. I've used galvanic and blend electrolysis (over 250 hours) ever since. When I did it (over 5 years ago) IPL was the most hyped method, now I've heard nd:YAG is the best. Honestly, laser doesn't work for everyone.

  • I flagged you because you are horrible.

  • Hi : ) It's been a little while since we've seen you. Hope everything is okay!

  • hello gorgeous. sorry about your bad experience with laser hair removal..

  • Hey! I'm so sorry to hear your laser went poorly! I've been having laser for about 6 months now and LOVE it.

While I'm getting tired of hearing about how my hair will grow back (mostly from women who had to suffer through electro), it's been the best route for me.

And I agree with some other posters - I would question the skill of your operator. You should be red after, but not burned!

Hope to see more from you soon! - Gracie

  • you should do a collage of some of your favorite outfits that you wear...and your shoe collection ;)

  • Oh, and an electrologist in Chicago who handles most of the transgender community here told me to go get laser, and then come for electrolysis to clean up what the laser leaves behind. Quicker, and cheaper that way (if laser works for you that is).

She had me at "Cheaper". LOL!

  • That's my plan!

  • Laser can work wonderfully, provided you have the skin/hair type for it, and provided you go to a medical spa with a doctor on staff to have it done, and not American Laser or one of those other chain places to have it done. Lasers are not toys, and a lot of these people do not have the proper training to have it done, or the knowlege of how to recognize problems before they arise and what to do about them if they do.

  • I agree! For my laser I see a doctor at a respected place in Georgetown. Unfortunately even that wasn't enough...

  • Hi! Cuttie!

I've seen all your 6 videos, you look spectacular. In less of a year your look has changed for good. Your hair is growing up and thaws good. Am sorry about the hair removal laser section, but you finally are looking better. I love your style and I wish you can find a job and so your roommate. Because a have notice you are little sad. Go girl, you are special. You are doing things that most of the people won't do it even myself. I wish you luck. Have a nice life. Jocelyn Janet.

  • lovely lovely girl, i can't wait to be a girl like you , very inspiring. we are soooooooooooooooo beautiful girls

  • Laser can be rough, especially if the operator starts at the high end of the energy needed to kill the hair (say 30 joules or higher). It's better to start low to see what is clinically effective and work up to what you can tolerate. I would be skeptical of the skill of your operator.

But, yes, electro is the more permanent way to go in the long run, and if you get a good operator, it's less damaging to your skin, as well.

  • Hey gorgeous when are you putting up a 2009 video? :D

  • Happy new year princess, Greetings from Peru

  • Why is this flagged? Do some people flag videos randomly? O_o

  • Have you thought about trying electrolysis instead of laser? If you look into it, laser hair removal only promises to reduce hair growth and the hair may grow back in a few months/years, you might wnat to consider electrolysis for permanent hair removal.

  • Just about everyone commenting on this video has said the same.

  • thanks for the admission, i feel justified.

  • sorry about the hair laser removal incident. But I read you should never use laser hair removal for your face or any area with sensitive skin. But you look great.

  • Yes, there appears to be more risk for injury in sensitive areas such as the face. To say 'never', however, is not right. I've read far more positive accounts than negative, even on the face. With the new laser technology out there it seems it's more about finding a doctor or technician who is experienced in the procedure than anything else.

  • no job, a lot of lounging, an apartment, laser hair removal? who is paying for all this?

  • Savings quickly disappearing...

  • I'm really sorry to hear about your laser experience. I always wish I could get to all MTFs before they duped into laser. whatever hair you have left now you should have removed with electrolysis as it is permanent and the hair that has been removed my laser about 60% will start growing back within a year and a half.

  • Others have said commented similar thoughts. If this in fact the case...it is terribly depressing. I've already paid for a package deal--I haven't much of a choice now.

I HAVE read numerous positive accounts though, so there is at least a chance I will be satisfied overall.

I DO have a haunting suspicion that money-hungry doctors/laser hair technicians have flooded the internet with positive reviews.

  • I'm really sorry to be one of the bearers of bad news. I'm an electrologist and have studied hair growth and removal. the good news is that you will lose about 40% and some of the regrowth will be somewhat finer. There is a lot of bad info out there. I know a doctor who does laser and argues with me about it but also has asked me to do elecrtolysis on her. If her laser is so good, why does she need me.

  • I've had several laser treatments(7, I think, but two of those were sort of at a disreputable place) and I've had decent results. While I still probably have 20% of the hair there, it really seems to grow a lot slower and not consistent. I was told one effects of the laser is it can damage the follicle and slow the growth because of it. Seems to be the case for me. I'd say the laser is worth it, because of the price and convenience, but you'll probably finish the last bit with electrolysis.

  • wow, long way from ur first vid, i look at the first and c a boy, but now i would have 2 b high or something 2 c a boy!!!!

  • A couple of years ago i spent alot of money on 8 sessions. The hair on my face is dark, my skin is light, like yours. Laser removal is not permanent it comes back after some months.Electrolysis is the only permanent method of hair removal.Recommend Lucy Peters International. Most of the hair on my face is gone, includes my ears and a portion of my neck. Do not waste time and money on Laser.

  • Hi again. You know I had a similar sort of "accident" during laser treatment on the face. I had to have the lady stop midway through our third session. It was terrible, and I could have gotten the numbing creme, but started to feel like trying something else. Anyway, the hormones had already softened my face I think. Not sure why it was so bad, but it is an iffy treatment anyway. I thought your vlog was thoughtful, I dont have the audacity to report on myself. But thanks & see you next time...

  • fantastica e bella

  • You got a laser hairremoval. May I ask about the pain that you get directly during the session? Does it directly hurt when the lasers burn the roots of the hair? Or does it start to hurt afterwards?

  • you're cute sorry bout the burns

  • Lol Your funny. Yeah that 16:9 Aspect ratio format-thing does sucks, specially when we're not used to live in a such a wide screen. Anyway: You look great girl. You'll find a job soon, be patient and go for that that you like to do, be picky about the pay, its ALL GOOD. Hehehe, I can tell your hormones are doing great. Good job. Kiss, Vicky

  • Hey ya! You look WONDERFUL! :D I really like your hair :) Also, I find it silly that I have confirm my birthday to see your video =/ Silly people.

I do hear you on the job issue though... same one I am having... I'm considering about stop being fully time because of it. *sigh*

  • Hey - Firstly love the new outfit - Let's see the whole ensemble.

Plus why have you been tagged as offensive or whatever - I didn't think your outfit was that bad!

    Keep warm.

  • girl, get that clip out of your hair.....it looks terrible.

  • Ouch. Maybe that's why this video was flagged?

  • hahahahah

I'm glad you've got a wonderful sense of humor. I wasn't tryin to be a bitch....just tryin to help a sister out.

  • This girl is so incredibly attractive in this video, young, vivacious, sexy.

I hope she will continue to dress pretty, sexy, beautifully.

It's such a joy watching these videos.

  • Ack, sorry to hear about the laser hair removal, I have had good luck with mine so far. I hope the transition goes more smoothly

  • Baby, you want to do something fo' me.

Wrap that pretty booty in sheer black hose and a string, then shake that fine sweetness in front of the camera.

Please be sure to arrange adequete lighting and a steady hand dear.

    Love your videos btw.

  • WOW Ash are you getting Risque or what? I had to confirm my birthday to watch this video! HA. Who would have thought you talking about laser sessions would require that. Maybe there's some sick fetish for that somewhere?

  • I just noticed that! What the crap youtube??? I guess it just takes one person to flag a video...is there anything I can do?

  • I'm not really sure if there is anything you can do... Not like your stripping down naked or using profane language.. Weird!

  • you know the religions types are all about lazer, burns, fires, witches....a fetish not suitable for minors unless discussed in a biblical context...

  • I bet someone got jealous of that cute dress - I know I did :-)

  • Sorry - Meant to say thanks for responding.

Not very gracious of me to remain anonymous - Name's Jez.

By the way you're right - Cluttered suggests lots of stuff but you know exactly where everything is whereas messy reads havn't got a clue where anything is & don't really care.

    Keep well.

  • wow, you are stunning!!

omg, so you enjoy making us wait, lol.

Hope you the best you and Kyle on the job hunt.

  • hello, im so amazed by your beauty tha if you were here were I live i will totally support you if you were willing to date me he he he he jk i think you are one of he most beatifull girls in the world keep up the good work and things will eventually come to place

  • Just wanted to say how much I enjoy your videos and how gorgeous you are. I am very sorry to hear about your laser experience. I personally have had about 14 laser sessions and never had a problem. However, even after all these sessions, I still have hair. Mainly very light in color, but still...

Can you tell me what lipstick you are wearing. Its very pretty.

  • why not get electrolyocis?

it permenantly removes hair, laser just lessons it

  • That's not entirely true but there are a handful of reason pro and con for both methods. I'm considering electrolysis after I finish the with the sessions I've already paid for. We'll see...

  • As always you look very good!

    Good luck in future!

    Keep warm

  • Thanks! I bought a spiffy coat from H&M for a good price and I'm weighing options from online vendors for a nice jacket

  • Oh yeah, and I meant to say "your hair is adorable"

  • Oh Ashley, you have the most gorgeous smile.

I just hope that you have more to smile about in the future. Hang in there hon, your feminization is developing very nicely and what's most important is that you're very pleasant and tenderhearted. I hope all goes well with your job-search... good luck to ya, sweetheart. BTW, I too have experienced horrible burns from my laser treatments a couple years ago, but my skin is very pale and sensitive.

    Chrissy Rose

  • I experienced some 2nd degree burns from my 3rd laser treatment, none from the first and second. I think my burns were partly from the tan that I had picked up in the early summer, my treatment was at the end of June. I've been doing electrolysis for about 2 years now, at 2-3 hours a month. I wanted the laser treatments to speed up the process, but after those burns, I decided to stick with just electrolysis. I hope your next treatment goes better! Kill the hairs, save the face! :-)

  • Thanks for the tips. I'll at least go in for my last two sessions (that are already paid for) but I'm seriously considering electrolysis.

  • Have you tried a temp. agency? Thats how my wife got a job with a gov. defense contractor. Not an ideal solution but if the money gets tight..it helps the cash flow.

  • I'm actually going to a temp group interview of some sort Wednesday with my roommate. Sounds sketchy but I'm giving it a shot

  • Hey sweety nice to see someone else with a messy house other than me :) Sad to hear about the burns, I know that even when it goes well it still can go a bit gross for me too. and good luck with the jobs! tah ta :)

  • haha it's not messy it's cluttered! I see a distinct (and important) difference :D

  • Of course!

  • hey Ashley thats no good that you had 2nd degree burns im considering laser as well for my lip area and my unibrow lol it is annoying lol

  • oh I think you should grow out the unibrow, start a new trend on the youtubes

  • hey im sorry to hear about that...well i hope that things go better ^.^

  • nice vid, nice dress, nice face! its about time Ash

  • Im so sorry about the laser hair thing. They should have given you a low grade melatonin concentration to help keep that from happing and burning afterwards. What kind of jobs are you looking for? May be I can help, I know a few people in DC that could e mail me some adds that arent posted in the local ads

  • I remember you telling me about this :-( sorry it went soo bad! The job thing... well it's nationwide babe! I've been trying to get clients for months... damned economy... But I was just offered a position at a company so keep your head up! You fucking rule, but you already knew that!

  • ouch sounded painful, im sorry hun x

  • hun, i had the same thing happen with laser, i don't know about the burns but it makes ur face red, but laser definetly worked for me. btw, that's a really good dress on u!

    xo

    Ava

  • Nightmare - Really sorry to hear you've been in the wars! What happened? Did the clinic foul up or was it an allergic reaction? Upside is I am very partial to a bit of crispy duck, must have pancakes & sauce of course.

Anyway good news is you look great - You've done something different with your hair I think.

Now all you need to do is get out there & find a job where they'll appreciate your enthusiasm & energy.

    Good luck.

  • We have haven't figured out why I had such a adverse reaction. I was given very serious burns though, so it wasn't just an allergic reaction. Even the inside of my lips were blistered (thus adding to the duck-bill swelling!).

I had my hair cut a tad not too long ago and I like to mix up how I style it :)

  • I'm not surprised you have so many subscribers and views. You're pretty, real, intelligent, so positive, and ready to do what you need.

That's cool you are looking to non-profit/environmental jobs. I have advice! It worked for me. "Make your job be looking for a job". It kind of sucks 'losing' precious free time by pretending to be working but it makes sense. Get up, get dressed, organize your notes and spend 8 hours every day contacting, reviewing, and planning.

  • Thanks for the support and good advice!

That's basically my plan, although after job searching like that for 3 months, erm, it became frustrating. I'm still at it though!

  • Oh I know! I've been off for six months each at two times in life. It's so hard to feel employable after so long! Once I had to change professions because my ex profession no longer existed, and once I had to change career paths after quitting my job in a huff, and the job I HAD been doing was extremely rare and hard for employers to understand where I'd fit in.

At risk of sounding like a total dork... I always do exercises in "What Color Is My Parachute" each time to help me get focused.

  • If the hair on your head is your natural hair color, then laser is going to have the best results for you, but it's going to be painful for you (because you're fair-skinned and have dark hair). I hope that the following sessions go better than the first two!

  • yhour very pretty ashley my lady^^

how about I can be your girl^^

    kisses sötis

  • That sucks about the laser treatment.

Hope the next sessions go better! Google "hairtell", you might find some tips on what to ask your practitioner to prevent that from happening again.

And about the job, just try to send out some positive energy (perhaps the laser mishap has restrained you from doing so), just know that it will all work out because you're cute and seem to have a fantastic personality, so any employer would have to be both blind and mentally challenged not to hire you.

  • Hi Ashley. I am sorry that you had such a bad experience with hair removal. It looks like it has cleared up. Have you completely healed or are you covering spots with makeup?

Anyway, you look beautiful. I love the dress and necklace!

    Nena

  • Sorry to hear about the laser removal, that must have been horrible you for sweetie.

Take care and hope you're well. =)

    ~xx

  • I ams sorry that you had such bad expereience with the Laser. I got mine done in a Doctorsoffice and always turned out great. Now started Electrolysis to get rid of the last stubborn Hair. You look great and good Luck on the Jobhunt..... :)

    Jenny

  • Did they do a test spot first for free? I'm glad that my laser experience has been good, but I'm still not sure how effective it will be. Health is most important. My videos are wider screen than normal, but it takes a panoramic resolution to fill the new player. Maybe I'll see you January 20 at Obama's inauguration? I'll be the one with red hair in the crowd of millions. Go to a job fair and also use online postings; it has worked for me! Peace.

  • no test spotting. I hadn't had any problems from my last two sessions so this has been particularly perplexing. I'll definitely been there for the inauguration...it's even a day off for us DC folks! (although it might be a good day to make a quick buck or two)

  • Hi Ashley sorry to here about your crappy laser hair removel i had quite a few sesions and it did not agree with me so i had electrolosis instead but im loving your hair and the litte black dress stunning

    catch you later Samara

  • Thanks, I've never had this sort of problem before so I think I'm going to stick with it but god forbid it happens again. It's been a terrible month...I can't imagine going through something like that again!

Oh and the dress is actually a dark purple/maroone :)

  • still a stunning dress what ever the colour i wish i looked like you when i started out your a natrual girlie i have had quite a bit of surgery to get to where i am you dont need anything even your eye make up is spot on as for the job front i was a chief engineer now im a nurse big change and i love it as for the laser did you have any elma cream as that cuts down the pain facter as well as ice packs to cooldown the skin it was discribed to me as an elastic band poping on your skin yea right

  • Hi Ashley,

Happy Thanksgiving! (albeit a day late) I'm sorry to hear about the hair removal problems, but it does look like all the burns cleared up.

Good luck on finding a job. Are you looking for anything in particular or just throwing your name around all over the place?

    Take care.

  • It's crazy but without make-up the wounds are still very visible. I expect another 2 weeks before it's all healed up :/

As far as jobs go, I'm pretty much sticking to the non-profit sector (and primarily environmental). I have intern experience and a familiarity that SHOULD give me an edge...

  • *hugs*. Make sure those laser people take it easy :( x

  • The doc felt pretty bad when I came to see him 2 weeks later. I'm still pretty nervous about going back but I've paid for 2 more sessions already. I'm sure he'll take extra precautions (and lower the frequency or something?).
