  • Chloë Moretz as Dorothy

John Turturro as the Wicked Witch of the West

    Bruce Campbell as the Gatekeeper

    Albert Finney as the Wizard

    Frances McDormand as Auntie Em

Stephen Root as the Mayor of Munchkinville

  • @waterspout8 NO. Nicholas Cage, Javier Bardem or Jeff Bridges as Dorothy.

  • i don't get it. i've seen 9 coen brothers movies. nothing in this clip suggests their style to me.

  • Song o___________O what is it

  • @PandaCandice - "Grounds For Divorce" by Elbow.

  • Here's the name and number of a Wizard who may return you to Kansas. Follow the Yellow Brick Road. Please see him, Dorothy. He's a good man, and thorough.

  • @SilasWolfe thats funny right there........damn funny.

  • 1:07 - LOL

  • Hailee Steinfeld as Dorothy

  • This will not stand !

  • Omg fuck you! Wizard of Oz and Coen Brothers what are fucking retarded

  • This version doesn't sync up to Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of The Moon". It does, however, sync up with "KidsBOP!".

  • nice job... spoiler alert though, you showed the witch melting in the trailer, you just ruined the ending ... ;-)

  • if you can't enjoy this you have no sense of humour.

  • What music was used?

  • @nightmarecrazy08 elbow - grounds for divorce

  • The Coen brothers did an awesome job on the remake of True Grit. I wonder how it would turn out if they remade The Wizard of Oz in their vision.

  • Nice job of editing. Roderick Jaynes would be proud.

  • It's SO EPIC when the axe hits the door at 1:19!!! :)

  • Wow...So cool :)

  • Julianne Moore = Good witch

    Frances McDormand = Wicked witch

    Buscemi as Tinman

    Macy as Scarecrow

  • Comment removed

  • i dont like the lion man atall!!!

  • I got a little bit of the happy chills when I watched this.

  • Good cut, but you CAN'T SHOW THE VILLAINS DEATH INT HE TRAILER.

  • fuck yeah

  • Awesome.

I don't see how people are saying it doesn't work.

Idiotic characters, dark humor, the axe smashing into the door...looks like Coen brothers to me.

  • Awesome.

  • hehehehehe love it =]

    like mine?

  • How is that anything like the coen brothers?

Your obviously not very cultured when it comes to cinema

  • lol, loved it!

  • I dunno, this was obviously modeled on the trailer for Burn After Reading, but I don't really think it had anything distinctly Coen-esque about it. They have a pretty distinct style, and while the bright colors and quirky characters of The Wizard of Oz MIGHT fit with that, I wasn't convinced here.

  • @MyName42 but think of it as it could be...a dark journey through a twisted version American west..now that Cohen material

  • stupid

  • Sorry, that didn't really work IMHO. The Coen Brothers aren't exactly Quentin Tarantino, you can't give a trailer a hip soundtrack and write it off as a 'coen-esque' pastiche...

  • great song you use there! elbow's ''grounds for divorce''

was also used in the trailer of the coen brothers' film Burn After Reading

  • well edited trailer!

  • GREAT! Reminded me more of a Craig Brewer film though.

  • Meh. I think this one employed too many of the most famous lines. Also, more dark scenes, and B&W should have been in there, as most of the Coen Brothers films involve some deeply fucked up story lines, that appear funny through the character development.

  • If you want to see a great movie mash-up, google: YOU GOT SERVED meets THE WIZARD OF OZ. Now that's funny!!

  • lol. where can i get tickets?

  • this is soooo badass.

  • This trailer makes Wizard of Oz look like a completely different movie! Honestly, I would rather see your "version" than the real thing! Its funny because it actually seems like it would make a great Coen Brother's movie!

  • Good.

Now make the whole film, I'd like to see it.

  • i must say this was one grew on me, at first the song was a bit jarring, but in the end it works, not sure i see too much coens in it, your fellowship mix is more effective, but i still got a kick out of this one.

  • that's awesome, too bad it's not real

    John Goodman as Lion

    Steve Buscemi as Scarecrow

    William H. Macy as Tinman

  • I think Jeff Bridges might be a better lion. The lion has more of a Dude look

  • @jdustin89 Perfect

  • and Tilda Swinton as The Witch of the West

  • @jdustin89 I'd only swap buscemi for John Turturro as the Scarecrow, and add, say, Zooey Deschanel as Dorothy (never worked with the coens, but she sure has some potential)... Perhapes Stephen Root as the Oz doorman, who knows!

  • @bbungled Zooey Deschanel as Dorothy. I like it.

  • @jdustin89 That would just be a rip off of the "Tinman" miniseires. We'll need someone who hasn't played Dorothy before.

  • @jdustin89 Frances McDormand as the Witch?

  • @phxsns1 Francis McDormad as Glinda...Tilda Swinton as the Witch of the West

  • @jdustin89 YES.

  • @jdustin89 And Tilda Swinton as the The Wicked Witch, Frances McDormand as Dorothy. George Clooney as The Wizard?

  • @TheMalevolentMuse that's a tough one, since the cohens change leading men a lot. I'd go with John Malkovitch, or maybe a new player.

  • @jdustin89 You forgot, Frances McDormand as the Witch, and john turturro as the Guardian of the Emerald City Gates

  • @jdustin89 and Jeff Bridges as dorothy

  • @jdustin89 Julianne Moore as Dorothy

  • @jdustin89 and Francis McDormand as Dorothy lol

  • @jdustin89 Jeff Bridges as Dorothy

  • @jdustin89 Frances McDormand as Dorothy

  • brilliant

  • great editing lol

  • This turned out really well. Great job with the editing!

  • Excellent work. Great picture quality too.

    Made me smile.

  • Fantastic! Music worked amazingly well with the shots. Bravo!

  • Never have I wished for something so bad as I wish right now that the Coen brothers really did do "The Wizard of Oz."

These trailer edits are great. Keep'em up!

  • the music is by Elbow

  • O_O

    omg lmao

    Nice job! x3

  • so awesome

    i loved the music!

  • whats the music?

  • Elbow-"Grounds for Divorce"

  • that was very clever, i liked that alot.
