I LOVE Abercrombie & Fitch while American Eagle to me is just "all right." Abercrombie is more my style. American Eagle has some okay things that i can find and is usually hit or miss with me.
I like American Eagle better. Their style is just more classy to me. Also more lightweight. Their style is simpler and not too crazy. Alot of people also like them too,
If you are upper middle class/rich, go for A&F. If you're lower-middle class, go to AE. That's just the way it is. A&F's jeans are from 65-90. AE are like 40-50ish, around there. Shirts, coats, etc. are all more expensive at A&F. Personally, I get what I like, A&F. I also go there because the quality is impecable. To each his/her own though :)
Abercrombie and Fitch is racist and didn't start hiring minority employees until a few years ago. Their clothing isn't even that great, and the employees and prices are pretentious and just too much.
i work at ANF, and let me tell you their styles never change every year, but their quality is top notch. And their clothes are not that expensive if you compare it to other high end retailer stores, and besides, all the stuff gets redline after two months anyways. And our jeans are 50% off right now, you won't get that sale anywhere else. haha.

american eagle. they aren't stuck up people that only want to hire the most gorgeous skinny people off the street. they don't throw you in the back if you don't meet the model standards. you can wear what the hell you want, the discount is better and you are treated very well there.
i have seen fat people that work at A&E, which is a never for A&F (near me); however, this is not to say A&E does not have their share of condescending dbags. you don't have to be a model to buy at A&F and have had often times better experience buying in this dark as night shooting gallery store vs some A&E experiences. and no obviously from my pic i am not one of the beautiful people, and i have worked in retail, so i should know something about how service is at stores.

I feel that clothing is an investment and that i should be able to wear something more than once without it fading and/or shrinking. With that being said i choose Abercrombie and Fitch. Yes, the price is higher (sometimes) but, like my parents always taught me " You get what you pay for". Abercrombie and fitch has better quality clothes, fragrances, stores, and employees. Trust me im one of them. so do yourself a favor. ANF!

American eagle sucks. I ordered clothes 3 months ago and i never got them. When i called they said they flagged my order and that they needed 3-7 days to deliver. It didnt come so when i called again they said they couldnt find my order and i had to cancel it. Now i'm trying to order again but their website is down. I'm done with this!

American Eagle COPIES american eagle every fucking year. I go shopping at A & F every fall and spring. Then the next year I walk in to American Eagle and I see what I saw the year before..... at Abercrombie. And then I find out that AE has been sued 3 times by Aercrombie for copying patterns and other things.

Abercrombie & Fitch has worked hard to make a name for themselves for over a century, while American Eagle has been at it for 33 years. Abercrombie & Fitch have every right in their decision to stay high end by keeping their prices the same, to deal with the economy they've even started "Take an extra 50% off clearance" sales and there is now even an outlet store.
not to sum up all people who go to either store, but what i've noticed is that the people who hate on A&F tend to be those who can't afford it. or maybe have been beat up by one wearing a preppy brand. A&F quality is a lot better than AE. (i go to both.) which is a reason why A&F is more expensive. shirts will be on sale at AE for $5-15 depending on the style of the shirt, whereas A&F shirts on sale are between $15-35 depending on the style of shirt.
AE has more sizes and only their shirts are cheap, their jeans and sweat shirts are a little pricy so i guess it wouldnt all be for poor ppl and AE is everywhere so its easier to get
A&F is some high priced sweats and tees, its ridiculous. i went to the site and their hoodies are 60? and their tees are 19.50 to $30. Who pays that much money on a crinkled hoodie or tee? That just doesn't make any sense.
A&F's quality is better, not equal to AE's. There is not an A&F store in New Mexico. If you think that straight guys shop at AE and gay guys shop at A&F, you should just go ahead and shut up. Opinion is an Opinion.... but the fact is you can tell who has money to spend and who does not. For example when i see a person that wears A&F, I know his/her family or even him/her self has money because of the fact that A&F is expensive. A&F started the idea of "all-american lifestyle" brand while AE just copied. It's just lucky for AE to win the lawsuit. My opinion is A&F will always be better and bigger than AE.

ummm actually all my clothes are from aeo (seriously) and never had a problem with quality. not saying anf doesnt bc they do have good quality...its just that anf jack their prices up way high than its worth. For example, a guys polo is $80 @ anf while their $40 at aeo non-clearence.
@dumb110 This is somewhat false. A&F sells almost all polos for $60. A&F is actually very good quality. I am sure that AEO is almost as good, but not as quite. They have about the same markup, so A&F is not anymore of a rip off than AE is. :)
I think the thing with Abercrombie that also hurts them is the company's disregard for basic human rights issues that shouldn't be present in a normal American corporation, as well as their refusal to play the market game, especially considering the demographic the company's targeting.

A&F has more comfortable clothing because of the price of the fabric they cant lowere prices because they would lose money. AEO steals from other companys and they use cheap fragile matterial that wears easier and costs less so whitch would you rather go with. Hollister is owned by a&f just to stop confusion. A&F, Hollister, Ruel 925(shuting down) ,and gilly hicks are the best stores in my opinion
i love A&F and holister. i shop there but i also shop at A&E. when i walk into a A&F or holister store there is some one who is helpful and shows me around and the store is just nicer and more relaxed. when i walk into a A&E store their helpful and all but it feels basic and not very special like it is in A&F and holister. i like both brands but for me A&F wins.

Listen. Most of you are CLEARLY being biased, considering the majority of us are middle-ish class and cannot openly ask parents or friends for money to go buy a pair of jeans and socks at A&F for $100. So don't be so quick to degrade.

In my opinion, AE is better. My mom thinks AE is a sausage fest. And AE always has discounts which is cool. Only good thing about Abercrombie is their jeans.

American Eagle COPIES american eagle every fucking year. I go shopping at A & F every fall and spring. Then the next year I walk in to American Eagle and I see what I saw the year before..... at Abercrombie. And then I find out that AE has been sued 3 times by Aercrombie for copying patterns and other things.

I love abercrombie and fitch!!!! It is my fav store....most of my wardrobe is abercrombie and fitch with a lil hollister and AE here and there but I have to say AnF is a wayyyy better quality than AE....and itz nicer too....personally I wud rather spend 100 on one shirt at Anf than spend 100 at AE and get 10 shirts....btw abercrombie promotes sex....and sex sells.... :) I'm only 16 n I can't wait till I'm old enough to work there!!!!!!

Abercrombie & Fitch has worked hard to make a name for themselves for over a century, while American Eagle has been at it for 33 years. Abercrombie & Fitch have every right in their decision to stay high end by keeping their prices the same, to deal with the economy they've even started "Take an extra 50% off clearance" sales and there is now even an outlet store.

not to sum up all people who go to either store, but what i've noticed is that the people who hate on A&F tend to be those who can't afford it. or maybe have been beat up by one wearing a preppy brand. A&F quality is a lot better than AE. (i go to both.) which is a reason why A&F is more expensive. shirts will be on sale at AE for $5-15 depending on the style of the shirt, whereas A&F shirts on sale are between $15-35 depending on the style of shirt.

A&F is some high priced sweats and tees, its ridiculous. i went to the site and their hoodies are 60? and their tees are 19.50 to $30. Who pays that much money on a crinkled hoodie or tee? That just doesn't make any sense.

A&F's quality is better, not equal to AE's. There is not an A&F store in New Mexico. If you think that straight guys shop at AE and gay guys shop at A&F, you should just go ahead and shut up. I have only seen 1 guy that was obviously gay at A&F. My sister went to AE at the SouthPark Mall in Charlotte and all five guys acted gay. They were like hello darling to my sister then they were like flirting with each other.

A&E clothes are so sexy. I bought my 1st shirt last weekend. OMG SO sexy! Hollister can go bag a grandma $40 for a shirt. Sure its quality but the prices don't fit all the clothing. Ambercrombie is just straight ass.

Opinion is an Opinion.... but the fact is you can tell who has money to spend and who does not. For example when i see a person that wears A&F, I know his/her family or even him/her self has money because of the fact that A&F is expensive. A&F started the idea of "all-american lifestyle" brand while AE just copied. It's just lucky for AE to win the lawsuit. My opinion is A&F will always be better and bigger than AE.

ummm actually all my clothes are from aeo (seriously) and never had a problem with quality. not saying anf doesnt bc they do have good quality...its just that anf jack their prices up way high than its worth. For example, a guys polo is $80 @ anf while their $40 at aeo non-clearence.

@dumb110 This is somewhat false. A&F sells almost all polos for $60. A&F is actually very good quality. I am sure that AEO is almost as good, but not as quite. They have about the same markup, so A&F is not anymore of a rip off than AE is. :)

A&F has more comfortable clothing because of the price of the fabric they cant lowere prices because they would lose money. AEO steals from other companys and they use cheap fragile matterial that wears easier and costs less so whitch would you rather go with. Hollister is owned by a&f just to stop confusion. A&F, Hollister, Ruel 925(shuting down) ,and gilly hicks are the best stores in my opinion

i love A&F and holister. i shop there but i also shop at A&E. when i walk into a A&F or holister store there is some one who is helpful and shows me around and the store is just nicer and more relaxed. when i walk into a A&E store their helpful and all but it feels basic and not very special like it is in A&F and holister. i like both brands but for me A&F wins.
