In english, it'd be flugelhorn or flugel for short.

Anyway, the thing is that he really makes it sound kind like a trumpet (sometimes it does sound like a flugel, but most of the time it doesn't).

Maybe it's because of the kind of music? Maybe the flugel itself?

Saw these guys on my birthday at Valley Forge Music Fair in 1982 , met Pappa Mangione it happened to be his Birthday and mine too he was 75 ,and I was 25 after the show he found me and gave me a free T shirt for my Birthday and I still have it today,wish i was 25 again.
