yes certainly the standard Arabic is so difficult for the public to speak it in daily situations; we can say that the standard arabic is the language of the Educated and Cultured. So you noticed that egyptian giving not good arabic.
its hard to learn the pure arabic .. and if u learned so .. no one speaks it anymore . ech country speaks its own accent and these accents came from a mixture with outside world and words ... so you need to know all that before doing it so
ok im half arab and serious about learning the language, saying that i wont be going to egypt in the near future so it would have to be theoretical, should i buy an online book like this?
I'm Chinese and I can speak fluently in Malay,English,Chinese,Cantonese and Taiwanese but I'm so interested to learning Arabic as Malaysia is about to establish a new zone in Johor so called Economic Zone of Sultan Iskandar and most of the investors there are Dubai merchants.I hope that I can have a fabulous opportunities with my well-rounded language skills but I found that it's very hard to learn Arabic.
@kennyy804 I totally depends what language the learner is speaking. I'm Norwegian so it's very easy for me to learn German, Dutch and English (German group). It would technically be harder for me to learn Russian or Finnish. I somehow understand Japanese very well though...
Check your facts before you call someone a dumb fuck. 20% of Israel's population are Arab Israeli citizens who speak Arabic as a first language and modern Hebrew as a second language so you're wrong.
@NirvanaLord Some do depending on their ancesters, like I'm half arabic and my grandfathers spoke arabic. My grandmother was Israeli morrocon so she also knew arabic. And some of my family speaks it and those are from israeli descent. But yeah most don't, but some do. :)
i think there is nothing hard to learn when you have the wellpower , in my case am arabic and i love japanese so it seems to me japanese more esiere than english
I'm laughing at the people arguing over what languages are harder to learn than others. the only problem for me with learning japanese and arabic is I don't really have any practice for it since there aren't many speakers of it where I live so it's kinda hard for me to learn nouns, verbs, etc. except with arabic it's my friend's and his familie's native language :D
me too! im learning japanese and arabic (extremely slowly but surely =D). my best friend's family speaks arabic so i want to try and learn it. and japanese is just fun to learn XD
oh gosh,I thought I could learn Arabic ,but it seems really hard ,I am a greek speaker ,reader and writer , but this is much harder than Greek which people call hard ,but I will keep trying
actually Japanese or chinese is the hardest to learn. arabic is surprisingly similar to french. they both have words that differ due to gender, conjugations, time, and age. its not too hard. the only diff is trying to write and read arabic
no Arabic is hardest cuz there are some letters you can't pronounce it easily and i am really surprised when you said that Arabic is similar to French cuz they are certainly not the same at all .. my languages is Arabic and I assure you they are not the same!
@elliniwendy Don't worry about it, just start with memorizing all the 28 basic letters of the Arabic alphabet. That's how I started 3 years ago, and look where I am now. I can understand aljazeera and read Arabic texts easily.. I'l be happy to help you out where I can.

msa arabic is good to know, but from all the native arabic speakers I know from different countries, it is better to learn Egyptian colloquial Arabic, because since there are so many different dialects from one locale to the next, everyone understands Egyptian Arabic, being that Egyptians dominate the media in the Arabic-speaking nations...movies, tv shows, etc., are predominantly from Egypt, so if you go to, say, Sudan, or Iraq, or Yemen, they may not understand MSA, but they know Egyptian...
it's to easy because ii am syrian
