Yes, this game is really realistic. Troops know they are being sniped and are running into the direction of the sniper without using any form of cover or going on path without any long-range weapons.

@Triple7TV i been spoted after about 6 kills in this mission, and i lied down, not standed, on this missions convoy can call support, support coming from right and left side (much times grenadiers) if grenadier start shooting, go to rear of the tower to cover from launched grenades and wait to man fire all his grenades, then try to spot him and kill by mk12, if ou are on tower pistol are useless, better also is kill grenadier before they launch first grenade you just must look around sometimes.

Before you even ask, it was a Rock River Arms AR-15 using an EoTech holographic scope and firing Winchester .243 center fires. What they teach you to do is to control your breathing in order to keep your sights on target, they teach you to breath in and out 2 or three times, and then on the 2nd or 3rd breath, only exhale half way, then hold it. Thus, making your shot much more accurate and way more steady. Also, obviously you can't hear your heart beat if youre in a firefight, but i've been out hunting on many occasions where its quiet, and ive heard it.

If you are panting and out of breath, your concentration suffers and thus the chance you downing your target suffers as well. These are all factors you have to take into account.

Okay, im not sure how far away those targets are. But from what i've seen in ARMA, and what i've played of it. Targets at such long ranges, you should compensate for distance and bullet drop.

PR is an acronym for PRoject Reality, its a company by Black Sand Studios which makes epically realistic mods for some of the best games made - BF2 is thier best. it is a very big mod for bf2 which uses its own client and can be annoying to play at start because it is simply so realistic but it gets amazing. hope that helps

Unfortunatley, no they can't, but i'm sure someone will develope (or there is in existence) a digital scope with features like a zoomable sight, and wind compensators etc.

This is really old but... what? You can change the magnification of real scopes. Not all of them, but it certainly doesn't have to be high tech either. Which isn't even what I asked. I was wondering if there aren't any higher levels of magnification, or if you'd like, different scopes with higher magnification. Seems kinda dumb having a sniper firing at targets the size of ants if there are better alternatives. Thanks buran2 for the proper answer.

Yes he can (i think). I tried several keys and the default are + and - I use the keypad ones. With me I have to point a bit more down (to the legs) so the shot goes to their ~head - at the truck's distance that is. Amazing aim he has. Also no one fought back at him which never happened to me 3 or 4 times i've failed.
