alka yagnik is better than asha booslay , the sister of lata the godess of this millenium perhaps forever. alka yagnik is second only to lata jee. moreever asha bhooslay dont come across as an exceptionaly great singer though she is great but not greatest

It is difficult to sing all by yourself, but Alka doesn't find many songs hard to sing, which is why she has sung far more songs than Kavita Krishnamurtthy. And

I agree, she did awesome.

It's a live show baby, even Lata Mangeshkar goes out of pitch when she sings in concerts...

that is the worst part of live show, no second chance. You don't get chance to dub your voice again...

actually, i've heard and seen many lataji concerts. The only time i've seen lataji go out of pitch is after she was 70 years old. please do not compare alka to lataji. alka sounds pretty good in recording (even then, she can't touch classical stuff), but she is nothing compared to Lataji or Ashaji or Kavitaji.

don't get me wrong, alka sounds amazing when she is in her zone, but only on romantic songs, she can not sing a classically based song.

u blady ..................dont ever compare alka with kavita........alka is just superb n a versatile play back singer............alka was at no.1 during 90's ......n tailking abt classical songs then just listen to umraao jaan u will get d answer.........

Lataji has her moments where she tends to screech, but it depends on a lot of things as to why they can't seem to perform well live. But Alkaji is definitely the best after Ashaji. Alka sings Kavita's part in this song very well.

I didn't hear any cracking..her tune was a bit off that's all. Most performers end up doing that in concerts anyway. Not a big deal.
