  • This was an awesome review. He honestly discussed the features of both mice and did a good job at being un-bias.

  • both of these mice blow. Two seconds of using the magic mouse is enough to know that it's not a viable option for regular use. I don't even need to go into it.

The MX revolution might have some cool features and might be very comfortable for some people, but the bluetooth wireless is just way too slow for me. like driving a van with a 4 cylinder engine when you're used to driving a corvette.

2011 > grab an anywhere mouse mx or a performance mouse mx. They both have gaming grade performance.

  • MX Revo + Magic Trackpad = LOVE

    :)

  • The magic mouse recognize the right click with the index finger on as a left click because it's for left-handed users.

  • The magic mouse is good with better touch tools. otherwise, its not worth it. BTT is free though.

  • magic mouse gave me extreme wrist pain.

  • i own a last season's macbook pro 15" and DONT BUY THE MAGIC MOUSE FOR WOW it's super slow... tried everything:/ bought a razer naga and i use it all the time now.. it doesnt look as good but it works WAY better:)

  • my magic mouse was fucked after 2 months, it works fine for a few days, then just glitches and the mouse lags for the next 2 days.

STAY AWAY FROM THE MAGIC MOUSE.

  • if someone says the magic mouse is confortable, they are either apple fanboys or never tried one

  • If you like mouse-related stuff, I'd advice you to take a look at the Logitech Marble Mouse. It's a trackball (using 2nd finger of either hand). It's very different than what you have always used and if you're like me, you might actually really love it. It fits perfectly in the hand, and is much better for your health too. It costs only ~ $40.

  • you can use rechargable batts for magic mouse using apple batt charger, or u can use an other charger.

  • steve jobs loves simplicity.

  • @poiiihy you mean gimmicky.

  • magic mouse fits my hand cuz im 10!

  • haha the magic mouse is so stupid. What animal did apple use when it comes to comfort testing or did they just skip that part all together. Wow it looks nice but not practical at all.

  • magic mouse acceleration is annoying

  • two fingers pressed also right click...

  • ur video helps alot dude!

  • You have to charge it? That sucks. I've never been a fan of the big clunky 20 button mice like the revolution though. Magic Mouse is perfect for me so far

  • Sorry it will zoom out not scroll out

  • Actually on the magic mouse if you hold command or control(I can't remember which one) and scroll up it will zoom in and scroll down it will scroll out.

  • he has big hands hehehhe

  • @Piroschatz44 mx revolution is the best mouse ever made. the free-spin scroll is unrivaled, the "search" button reassigned to close (and close tab in a browser) under the wheel is an extreme efficiency boost, the back and forward (reassigned to minimize) buttons are in the perfect position unlike its successor, and my hand rests on top of the thing perfectly. it's better than the performance mouse mx but could use a couple more buttons and charge-while-in-use ability.

  • MX revolution sucks really hard

  • the magic mouse takes getting used to. you have to slightly change the way you use a mouse. also, the magic mouse is multitouch, not heat sensitive. it ISN'T two buttons. it's just one entire clickable surface. if you try to right click with more than one finger touching on the mouse it gets confused. plus with using Better Touch Tool, you can increase the number of gestures tenfold. the possibilities are practically endless.

  • Great review dude =) I got myself a Logitech Performance MX. It works really well. I recommend it to anybody that needs a new mouse, and that also has a 100 bucks lying around =P

  • @TheTotalCrust mx revolution is better. i use both so i would know.

  • Great review dude! I went with the Logitech performance MX.

  • you cant old a mouse for shit. everything else fair points.

  • The magic mouse is awesome for about 2-3 months, then you go, "Ok that was fun, now I need to go get me a real mouse".

  • Mac user and I prefer the mx logitech has always been good with accessories they offer. The magic mouse is a pretty cool piece of technology but it's not comfortable for me and I like to push buttons. Cause I'm simple like that :S

  • APPLE SUCKZ DUDES

    GO MICROSOFT

  • i am a apple fanboy and i think the magic mouse is shit because it only good for surfing the web and everything els is just disappointing like no F3 not good for gaming not good for editing [photoshop, final cut etc] and not good for simple use of ur computer

  • magic mouse for people who mostly surf the web and stuff like that, mx for gamers

  • @bood3e nah, i don't play games but i have 20+ browser tabs open, word, excel, snagit, file browsing, media players, powerpoint, torrent client, etc. mx revolution is unmatched for performance and efficiency if programmed wisely.

  • mx revolution is overpriced tho... magic mouse comes for free with mac

  • A really user review not as the rest of the shit on youtube, good job fella!

  • and I'm 13 and I can use it just fine

  • @showdowner987 if you have smaller hands, go with the performence mouse, its just like the reovlution except better for people with smaller hands

  • If you're like me, you can hang your hands straight down, relaxed, and your mouse hand will be more curved than your other hand. This is because most mice train you hold mice unergonomically.

If you have a Magic Mouse, don't try to hold it like other mice; lay your hand flat on it with your finger tips extending no farther than the top of the clicking surgface. Keep your forearm in alignment with your wrist and move the mouse with your arm, not your wrist.

  • I love my MX Revolution but it's a pain to get it to charge. I have to set it in the charger about 5 times until it charges..

  • @carlover72 The mx performence fixes this problem

  • The Magic mouse does look good but it fails in ergonomic design. My wrist hurts after using it for a period of time. The old Mighty Mouse does much better in that sense.

  • Comment removed

  • BUY the logitech performance mouse MX it is the KIN of the mice !!!

  • my friend has a Magic MOuse and he has wrist problems right now. He had to Stop using it because the doctor told him is the mouse which is giving him the wrist problem !!! DO NOT buy the magic mouse it really sucks uncomfortable and you cannot use Expose bummmeeerrr !!!!

  • I have the MX performance which is much better in my opinion than the revolution from what i saw. Im not sure about the revolution but it looks like you cant charge and use the revolution. The performance can charge and use.

  • the MX revolution is just ugly... the back of the magic mouse looks actually better than the front side of the mx

  • @Kalbkiller welll the magic mouse always gets sctraches so yeah...

  • yeah but what do you chose? Ugly and comfort or ultra sexy and uncomfortable?

  • @BoobaKuba09 exactly dont forget high tech for the magic mouse.

  • You sir have bad taste or enjoy modern art. Both are the same

  • mx revolution does not work on glass, the NEW mx performance works on glass

  • yeah, use bettertouchtools for the magic mouse, then you can customize it in a lot of ways

  • MX revolution are alot better. I return the magic mouse two days later.

  • you can use 'BetterTouchTools' for the Magic Mouse, it allows you to do stuff like expose and spaces. There is tones of it that you can customize.

  • that is what happens with the new track pad on the mbp

  • the mighty mouse really does have 1 button, it uses the multi-touch technology to detect where you finger is placed to right click etc. as did the mighty mouse and the now Apple Mouse.

  • MX wins

  • well there are rechargeable batteries so that's not really a problem. Tbh although i like the novelty of the magic mouse the only reason I am gonna get it is cause it comes free with the imac. For gaming I would use razer or some other mouse with a blue laser.

Another positive aspect of the magic mouse is that it's really light weight for a wireless mouse, which tends to be a problem.

  • I am a music producer and I currently use a macbook pro 17" with the mx revolution mouse.. and everything works great I don't see any reason for me ever to buy another mouse.. I guess I have to buy another MX if my current one stops functioning from all the long hour usage...

  • It's really awkward how you and I tend to own the same equipment. Good comparison though, because I just sold my MX Revolution so I can buy a Magic Mouse. LOL.

  • i have them both i use the magicmouse for web browsing only cause featrures

  • I would get the MX

  • me too

  • the Magic Mouse sucks

  • I just ordered an mx revolution i think its a better mouse apart from dongle but so what, if youre at home its easier to use and if it needs recharging jus slap it on the dock n get ur mighty out!

  • Why the left and right click work the way they do is too obvious. That's why I only give you 3 stars.

  • I agree with Terry.

  • I think they should have a software update on right and left click, like it knows which finger is pressing by the way our finger spreads out while clicking on the mouse. Because it's just a pain to use it especially for editing and even just surfing the web.
