I am currently doing a group project on the culture of homelessness and we were hoping to show your video or even ask you a few questions. I know this is fairly long shot but we were wondering if you would be willing to send us some of your pictures from the movie. We would only be using them for the purpose of this class and give you full credit. Further the focus of our presentation is in line with your values, hoping to make a difference.
For all those who have been asking. The video was made by collecting pictures over the years. Those pictures were taken by myself or by coworkers who wanted to help. The stats are from the calgary homeless foundation. The music is by sixx am - life is beautiful acoustic version, of course no copyright were paid for the music.
If you want to share it and show it, go for it. I got no copyright over it. Its youtube!!!
By the way if you are homeless in Calgary you can sell the local street paper called Calgary Street Talk to make some money. You can get signed up to sell it at UPS Office,128 7 Avenue SE, Calgary. But bring along proof that you are homeless such as a letter from a soup kitchen or from a homeless outreach team.
We're going to see a lot more of this than ever before within the next 6 months. A lot of people are a lot closer to being homeless than they would care to admit. With the condition of the economy and scarcity of work right now I hope to God I'm not going to join them.

the homeless downtown have increased exponentially the last 3 years. I work downtown and it is downright scary even during the day. A "pro" even propositioned me right in the Bankers Hall lobby!

I lived on the street in Calgary for years while i was a teenager. I was also a drug addict. Most of the people in this video are friends of mine...
I thank you for posting this. and I am proud to say I have been off the streets and off drugs now for 5 years

Not sure why the mainstream society is scared by the homeless, they are just human beings like you and me.
And yes, the number of homeless in Calgary has increased by 35% every 2 years since 1994.
We live in a city where the poor get poorer and the rich get richer.
More than 58,000 Calgary households are living only one paycheque - or one crisis - away from homelessness... are we scared that it could be us?
