  • I meant Linda Kasabian was given immunity for her testimony, not Leslie Van Houten. Oops, hate when that happens as no edit ability on comments here...arg...

  • The truth is that none of us knows what we'd have done if we'd been brainwashed while on LSD and a multitude of other drugs for months-to-years. I've done fairly in-depth research regarding Manson and the Hinman-Tate-LaBianca murders, and I actually believe that Leslie Van Houten at least, and potentially Susan Atkins and Tex as well, were/are not a risk to society outside of the context of Manson and his brainwashing. I don't think any of those kids would ever have killed anyone on their own.

  • In regards to the idea of Manson being an innocent who was wrongly accused by sociopathic hippie kids who murdered of their own volition - I find that completely absurd. Even Leslie Van Houten, who was given immunity in exchange for her testimony, has described the brainwashing techniques Manson used on his "Family". It's easier to distance oneself from that which makes us uncomfortable by stating "Oh, they must have had "evil" in them or they could never have committed murder.

  • Honestly, if Manson were in the same room with me and I felt compelled to mock him, I would. He doesn't frighten me. He has no power without his brainwashed hippie henchwomen. He's just a slightly built, manic, rambling sociopath. If he were a genuine tough guy, he would have killed people with his own hands rather than manipulating vulnerable and naive youth via drugs, isolation, and other programming techniques.

Now in regards to this clip, I think it's rather funny and clever.

  • @DDDowney Those video have been edited to make him look mad

  • @BC23 This is not comedy it's BULLSHIT. If you want comedy watch the Marx bros or Monty python

  • I don get it

  • thats maynard james keenan jack!!!

  • I'll fix brain stew for dinner when I'm the cook, Jack!

  • Back when Andy Dick was still pretty damn funny, before he went batshit crazy.

  • Andy Dick and Ben Stiller will die if Manson ever gets out

  • This video is stupid!

  • @ATWA13X Why? because it's not only comedic but a pretty good of potrayal of how Manson acted in court or interviews?

  • @DDDowney

I think the video is stupid because the whole act is overplayed.

  • @ATWA13X

yeah because having a insane psycho killer as a pet should be underplayed.

  • @maxacorn

Charlie NEVER killed anyone but if that's the delusion you want to carry around, so be it! I don't really give a damn because I have heard it all before!

  • @ATWA13X thanks for helping to spread the truth.

  • @maxacorn he really never killed anyone, the whole healter skelter scenario was fabricated by vincent bugliosi and fueled by the media to make a whole crap load of money from the movies and books, which in fact worked at the expense of an innocent man spending the rest of him life in prison. Its never too late to stop being brainwashed by the media you know.

  • @THE123HAMMER

Yes, that is so right on! I saw a video recently where Vince actually admitted that Charlie didn't have "Helter Skelter" on his mind and that the killers had it in them already to commit murder which contradicts entirely the theory he got the public to believe during the trial. Not only that but it supports what Charlie stated in the beginning about the killers already possessing that ability before HE ever got a hold of them.

  • @ATWA13X Yeah I know right? Thanks man. Hopefully people will someday realize the lies.

  • @THE123HAMMER

yeah because carving a swastika in his forehead and saying that i'm the crazy one is a total media creation. and stop bring some kind of BS social commentary into a spoof vid. it makes you look like a stuck up jerk ass.

  • Fuck you Ben Stiller.

  • Back when Janeane Garofalo and Andy Dick were still funny.

  • Brought to you by "Happy Children's Toys"

  • "ribbit, ribbit... I was raised in a prison. I don't know any other way." lolz

  • please delete this video. It is extremly offensive and suppurts the lies the media makes about JC

  • @thebeefdancer

    ummmmmmmm what?

  • @thebeefdancer Youre an idiot who doesnt understand comedy. It is YOU who should be deleted.

  • ...I'm so insane I'm sane...AHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

  • jesus, think about it, this came out almost 20 years ago, its easy to imagine that charlie got to actually see this at some point in all that time. that makes me laugh my ass off. hahhahahhaha

  • He sure has Charlie's inane gibberish down.

  • I don't know why but I love this!!!!! Then again I love Hannibal Lectur also!!!!

  • Andy dick still can't act like a convincing straight guy

  • I'm so insane, I'm sane!

This was a fantastic episode for Odenkirk. He's also terrific as a freaked out neighbor in 'America's Most Suspicious'.

  • AHAHAH lol

  • Andy Dick's name: "Van Hammersly" was used again by Bob Odenkirk in a Mr Show sketch(billards)

  • I loved the Ben Stiller show, got it on DVD as soon as it came out... this is one of my favorites!

  • I've been telling people about this sketch for years but have never been able to find it. It's not quite as funny as I remember, though. Great idea that could have been executed better.

  • I must have been under Timmy's rock all these years never to have seen this video. Bob Odenkirk is genius and quirky-perfect. Super production on all counts.

@blastingcaps, it's clear the boat left you at the dock!

  • @ErnieandBert1 why did this reply of your get marked as spam? weird.

  • Comment removed

  • I love everything about this sketch, especially Andy Dick's wan smile and the way Bob Odenkirk runs.

  • one of the best comedy skits ever! although i disagree with blastingcaps i find his comment on mr. stiller to be equally hilarious! good stuff...

  • Horrible Manson impression. Could have been funny, just flat wasent. oh well, its ben stiller after all. The only thing funny he does is exist with that stupid look pasted on his face, you know the one...his face.

  • @blastingcaps That was Bob Odenkirk, not Stiller.

  • The moral of the story? Even an animal can communicate positive things if you can get past your ideas on how animals communicate. Cats bite the throats of those they love, right? Surreality, it works!

  • @VeroniqueDiabolique we'd get Bob to imitate the crap out of you in that room.

  • lololololol

  • making fun is ok, nevertheless, Charles Manson is a bigger man than most of todays walking talking consuming zombies

  • this is sad to watch

  • I'm updating my voicemail announcement right now....."you wanna talk to mrs. Wilson??? Well why do you want to talk to Charlie!?"

  • "You can lock me up but you cant block me up!" LOL

  • "Well take Manson with you, he's under-foot today!"

  • omfg i love bob odenkirk lol i watch this clip almost daily lol

  • Oh he doesn't want to eat your children, he just likes saying that.

  • "....All you comedians that get up there and tell jokes about Charles Manson,

WHAT WOULD YOU DO if I was in the same room with you? Would you tell jokes about me then?"

    —Charles M. Manson

  • @VeroniqueDiabolique Hah! Good question, Charlie, but that doesn't make you special. We joke about all kinds of sick stuff when it's not actually right in front of us. It's part of how us normal folks make sense of the world.

  • @VeroniqueDiabolique You could say that about almost anybody. It doesn't mean anything. Just more pseudo profound bullshit from Chucky Manson

  • this is stupid

  • Van Hammersly? The Billiards guy!?

  • Im so insame im sane!

  • Andy Dick is not acting Andy Dickish in this it's weird

  • Who played Manson?

I remember someone saying it was Maynard Keenan from the band Tool, but I find that hard to believe.

    Anyone know?

  • Bob Odenkirk from Mr Show

  • Comment removed

  • That's Janeane Garafalo as the mom, isn't it?

  • FUNNIEST SHIT EVER!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I remember watching an interview that Manson did with either Barbara Walters or Diane Sawyer in the mid to early 90s. He kept saying "I walk a line, woman!" whenever he got upset and didn't know what to say. My sister and I were in hysterics. I love every line Odenkirk has in this. They are all reminiscent of that interview in a genius comedy way. It's great to see Manson as Lassie as a joke. Odenkirk is superb.

I could quote from this all day, just to make myself laugh.

  • GENIUS!!

  • Comment removed

  • Hillarious. I laughed so hard I had tears in my eyes. I just about fell off my chair.

  • Haahahaha xD'

    Love it ! :P

  • I remember seeing this when I was a kid. I laughed so hard I was just wheezing. I went to middle school telling everyone I was a ghost of a phantom of a shadow in the hearts of their children.

  • "Gotta walk it like you talk it."

  • "Whooooooooa! Where's the fire?" LMAO Andy Dick!

  • Fuck this is hilarious!

  • you can't hear nuthen when your heads in a bag on your head Jack!

  • Janine Garafalo as Timmie's mom?

  • Why does he walk like that? Is he gay?

  • hilarious!

  • Too bad that Ben Stiller won't stay alive too long after releasing Manson out of prison.

  • Manson getting out of prison.... HAHAHA!!!!

  • yeah that's gonna happen

by the way that's Bob Odenkirk playing Manson not Stiller

    once again O-den-kirk...not Stiller

  • Just hit the pause button any time Manson is onscreen. Every single frame of him is funny! Especially when he's going over that fence. I wonder if it works with the real Manson?

  • Perhaps the best comedy skit ever(until Chappelle came along,at least).

  • OK that's awesome!

  • this is hilarious!

  • what one is ben stiller?

  • manson maybe? ;)

  • mr show blew this show out of the water not so funny now but mr show still kills

  • I'll fix brain stew for dinner when I'm the cook, Jack!

  • He does a damn good impression of Manson.

  • used to watch this back in tha day. the manson skit wuz my favorite

  • Comment removed

  • oh the hilarity

  • It's amazing that there was a time Andy Dick was funny.

  • I've been thinking of "When's Dinner? I'm starved!" all day and then I finally watched this!

  • Comic Genius! Back in the early 90's. You had an amazing line up of shows on Fox on Sunday nite. Ben Stiller show, Herman's Head, Married with Children, In Living Color. Sadly, only The Simpsons has survived after all these years. Thanks for posting such a funny piece of material.

  • at 2:32 charlie communicates through interpretive dance, lol

  • Brilliant!

  • I'm sorry but Bob Odenkirk is one of the funniest people ever, not only are his physical performances funny but his ability as a comic writer are phenomenal. He wrote the matt foley motivational speaker bit for Farley. His history is amazing too due to all of the people he worked with including Farley, Robert Smigel, Conan, Dana Carvey etc. He does not get enough credit for the seminal work he has done. He also was a primary influence for the start of the Tim and Eric Awesome show.

  • Don't be sorry, you are 100% correct.

  • amen brudder

  • Hell yeah! plus he was co-creator and co-star on the funniest show ever, Mr. Show!

  • Yeah, Bob Odenkirk was fucking brill on TBSS. IMHO.

  • @mafia67 Completely agreed. This sketch wouldn't be as great without what is clearly Odenkirk's astute character analysis of Manson and his hilarious replication of Manson's mannerisms. I love how he captures Manson's tangential logic, his strange non-sequiturs and his mysterious rage. This sketch is fucking genius in writing and performance, and Odenkirk is fantastic.

  • @mafia67 amen his power reach italy were i live and i idolize him

  • @mafia67 why are you sorry?

  • @mafia67 i was with you all the way to Tim and Eric. that show forever sucks.

  • best skit on the ben stiller show

  • I got the eye of the tiger and I don't know who to kill FIRST!

  • that is odenkirk....wikipedia can be wrong because anyone can change it. If you cant tell watch Mr. Show and then its obvious

  • FOR ALL CONFUSED ASS TOOL FANS: This is Bob Odenkirk playing Charles Manson. Maynard isn't even in this sketch at all (however he was once in a sketch about manson)I'm shocked as hell that you fans don't know this especially considering that Maynard worked with Odenkirk on Mr. Show, when he first referenced Puscifer. C'mon people

  • Could you possibly provide a link to the vid with Maynard? Is it hosted anywhere?

  • I remember seeing this, I think the first time it aired, I was about 6 and didn't who Charles Manson was and I was like "Why do they have a caveman for a pet?"

  • u a punk man

  • Why the fuck do people keep saying this is Maynard? It's Bob Odenkirk.

  • wikipedia said it was maynard...its not?

    im so disillusioned now :(

  • LMAO

  • That IS really the kind of answers you get from Manson when you ask him something!

  • the stiller show sucked but this sketch is nice. i agree, manson isn't as scary as the media says he is but to free him? come on, he's lucky to be alive.

    odenkirk cross 2008!

  • epic fail.

  • manson = FAILURE of genetics.

  • fetus fail = lulz!

  • Manson= failure of parents and state institutions

  • wtf?

  • Im so insane , Im sane

hahahahah fuck i almost spat my food out

  • Maynard James Keenan is amazing lol

  • lol

  • This Fucking Funny

  • This was a "SKIT", people! Too funny! Lighten up - I was fascinated with the Manson family and the trial and Bugliosi and researched the hell out of it. This is meant to be funny; laugh a little!

  • i would live with manson gladly. the dude is alright. he never killed anyone. you'd learn a lot from him. not sure how his hygiene would be being a hippie type and all.

funny video though- that is how manson acts- needs more kung fu though.

  • punkrock is dead on.The myth created by the media and bugliosi to sell papers, books etc has grown to ridiclious proportions.I would be mad as hell if I was locked up for 40 years for something I didn't do,and my so called friends, the REAL killers, snitched and nothing was said about them

  • All you Johnny Carsons and comedians that like to tell jokes about Charlie Manson, what would you do if I was standing right next to ya? Would you tell em then?

    -Charles Manson

  • this is so fucking sad y do people do this shit

  • hahahahaha

  • was that bob odenkirk?

  • manson is maynard james keenan!? woooow!

  • No, it's Bob odenkirk. but maynard apparently does a mean manson impression as well...

  • thats hilarious

  • you got to walk it like you talk it

  • "Ive been bit too, but I like it!"

    AHHAHA amazing

is there anything Bob odenkirk can't do?

  • you and whoever you are fighting with need to stop using pages with funny clips for political nonsense

  • This is also a spoof vs. the old Lassie TV 1950's show. The opening scene is directly copied from it. Also, much of Manson's dialogue is paraphrased from statements he made during his trial and in later interviews.

  • to punkrock col23:

And this is THINKing to you? Where does the thinking part start: with the false causality of Bush v Manson? Or the fact that you IGNORED that Manson was there, and instructed his disciples on how to commit murder? Or what? Grow, dude. This vid should be viewed as the wonderful, inspired and politically-incorrect laugh-inducing bit of comedy that it is and nothing more. Politics? Send 'em to the Olympics...

  • you have watched too many b movies instead of learning the truth

  • You should see the out takes of manson lol ... well for everyone else ... the poster probably already seen them

  • ahha fuckin van hammersley

  • Im so insane, Im sane

  • charles manson killed nobody.

he was accused of sending other people to kill and to this day remains in prison.

    george bush killed nobody.

he sent other people to kill for him.

he remains free and very very rich

    THINK

  • truth don't play no favorites, bite on that jack!

  • Wow you are a fucking psycho if you think Charles Manson is alright to be around people if you like him soo much go to prison with him

  • i am not a psycho.

you know nothing about charles manson.

you base your knowledge on movies and the lies told by vincent bugliosi.

  • maybe i know nothing but from the 5 minutes of the interview i saw where he told the reporter he could kill her and he wouldnt feel bad and his ramblings plus his little "jokes" about killing peole i think he is a psycho. Maybe your not a psycho but if you think he is okay then would you go and spend a week in his cell?

  • yes i would spend a week in his cell.gladly.

the media created the myth of charles manson.

People like Dahmer,Bundy and in the uk Fred and Rosemary West are true psychos.

    Manson is not.

  • Hello!, i just start a research on this manson character. And i can't believe you people...and i'm not a fan or anithing, you make me sick people...all of you just laugh at something so disturbing. Remember the kills,Sharon Tate and allééyou act like ..i thinck this Manson familly try to kill people like you.

  • "If you dont listen, you cant hear!"

"You cant hear nothin when your head's in a bag, Jack!"

  • FUNNY SHIT!!!

  • I got the eye of the tiger. I don't know who to kill first!

  • Good god. I stumbled upon a link to this recently after not seeing it in years. Proof Odenkirk always had "it," even pre-Mr. Show.

  • "I'll fix brain stew for dinner when I'm the cook, Jack."

  • "I'm a ghost of a phantom of a shadow in the heart of your children!"

    Hysterical.

  • omg i love this sooo much because it is so Manson. I love it especially because of all those Manson lovers out there...this is what i hear when i listen to Manson. He's crazy point blank.

  • holy f*&k the way he runs at the start there....

always preferred d. cross but when I saw this show on dvd, I gained a real appreciation for b. odenkirk

no offense to b. stiller but he was the least funny guy on this show (just my opinion :P).....stiller was great in flirting

with disaster and then it was all downhill from there (not that you can find flirting with disaster anywhere)...

anyway, "you can't hear nothing when your head's in a bag jack!"

    p.s.

"I'm going to comb you with a knife"

  • You guys are getting Mr. Show and The Ben Stiller Show confused. Maynard wasn't in this sketch, that was Bob Odenkirk, but Maynard did portray Manson in a sketch on Mr. Show.

  • Maynard rules, hehehe

  • one of the funniest moments of TV ever

  • Maynars james keenan. yea weird

  • Thats james maynard keenan of tool
