  • no highest comment.......NOWS MY CHANCE!!!!

  • paint job?

  • 58??? What's that, the horsepower or top speed?

  • it can't be a 59 ,the window is two big,its a late 70's,they were split before 60,and a lot smaller up to 68..its probably a 72

  • @sidewayssam In germany many people build the newer back window in there splits couse they wonna have the newer look..... u could bought this conversion kits here....

  • @FireballGER thats mad though!a split window is worth a lot more!it would be sacrilege to put a larger window in it..

  • @sidewayssam yeah thats true, but look this time there is the same problem... every one will have a newer car... not the old 1... so its easy to change an old Käfer to a newer 1.... shure now day´s its sad because the originality ofthe car is done... sry for my poor english.... ;-)

  • @FireballGER i have never heard of people doing kits they way you have said, they other way round, yes, and i have been into bugs for 30 odd years...and it still is definately not a 58,as it would have had semaphore indicators in the b pillars, having looked closer ,it is a 68,with 57 back lights on,and your english is better than my german,so don't worry!it s more than fine....

  • @sidewayssam Ty .... I heard this on a reportage in the german TV, its like doing a facelift for ure car, back in that times anyone whould have a newer beatle so they came up whit some newer Window kits for the back.... shure now a day nowone whould do this... but if u Life in 1940 and had an old bug u whould do this eventualy to ;-)

  • its not a bull you don't have to have your hand up

  • did you find this or did you buy it?

  • 58 should have a oval....

  • @3RNGR75

58 was the year of the big window conversion from the oval, same running gear and decklid/ lights and stuff, just larger rear window

  • if i recall isnt a 58 an oval window?

  • @akumushikyo 57 was the last year of the Oval.

  • how do you keep the rust under control?

  • not sure what you got in it but a porsh motor will bolt right up

  • how do you rusted it? is there any kind of solvent to use on the paint?

  • tetano na certa

  • proper rat, nice

  • Looking forward to getting either a beetle or a ghia some day... when I have a garage. I've always been into the rat-rod thing.

  • I love your VW. More Vid please!!! :)

  • get those wheels aligned, omg im scared just looking at it that its going to snap off lol

  • if you knew anything about lowering a beetle, is that the rear end is on a swing axle. In order to go as low as this guy is, the rear wheels need to be cambered to fit inside the fender, and provide the desired ride height.

    nothing is going to "snap"

  • ok good, im used to double wishbone suspension and actually aligning my tires to be strait even if they are tucked. So do people with beetle's actually drive around like this... or do they have air bags and go up to a usable ride height?

  • seems like he's set up to drive like that. low and slow is the name of the game. I could be mistaken tho, there are a lot of bagged beetles the look exactly like this.

  • you're and imbecile, VW's have and IRS(independent rear suspension). A VW doesn't have one solid axle, it has 2 that come from either side of the trany. which in turn enable them to tilt their wheels in and still drive around just fine.

the whole purpose of the IRS and the adjustable axles was for heavier and lighter loads.

  • umm... ok i was already corrected and learned about the fact that this had IRS and what it was used for, but thanks for adding to it

  • you are the imbecile. ever heard of a swing axle? idiot...

  • yes and whats your point?

a swing axle and trans axle nearly one in the same.

  • the first point was that you're an imbecile, which you continue to support. a swing axle is a form of a transaxle. an irs beetle also has a transaxle. following logic, a swing axle tranny and an irs tranny are NOT the same. this beetle doesnt have a IRS. no early beetle did... the swing axle IS a solid axle, no cvs to accommodate for the angle change, hence the major negative camber as a result of the lowering. it's ironic that you're so quick to point the finger, but you're the imbecile.

  • Tranny? what does your mom have to do with this. lol

  • noobs.

  • I believe 69 was the first year of IRS.

  • nope. 67.

  • no its 69 ,, 67 had swing axle

  • '68 autostick was the first IRS.

  • word i want mine to look likethat

  • Je KIIIIIIIIIIIIIFF :D:D:D:D

  • Sweet
