your dog is beautiful i have a doberman too but she is european and only 6 months and has a problem that causes her to tilt her head and watchin vids like this make me wish she was normal because doesnt have good balance so she cant do really athletic thing but i would never trade her in because i love her more than anything just hope her problem can be fixed so she can live a happy healthy life like every dog should.
I have to say my favorite part was the fact she didn't jump on the guy playing basketball with her. I can't stand when dogs do that. So, the more I see videos like this the more confident I feel about getting my first dog. And dobbie's are one of my favorite. I've never seen one in person or had the pleasure to play with one. But seeing how beautiful and wonderful they can be is quite thrilling. Thank you!
Either male or female. They'll both make an ideal companion, buddy, and guard dog. There is no better a breed, no more loyal a friend, an finer canine you will not find.
Some people will tell you that males might be more loving and licky. Though there may be some validity to this, it is individual dog-based.

Speaking of Liesl, she must be HUGE now judging from those gigantic paws of hers! You have a beautiful little dobe. Sometimes I wish I could rewind time so i could pick up my little girl again (she's a whopping 90 pounds now).
had a male chocolate doberman too. if i get a chance to raise another one , i would . i think i'll manage with my mini pinschers for now. i know these breeds have different temperaments. i'll get a female one next time around .

I have had cross breeds turn on you, never a dobermann, my daughter grew up with my doby Meg, never has she so much as snarled at her, from her being 4 years old my dog has loved her and protected her, MEG was even was trained to FIND MIA because we live in the country, we were worried MIa may get lost in the fields out walking..
Meg found her every time we practised...I would never ever change breed now! So tell your mom, Dobermanns are the best ever....
