@LuxGonderange Vielen Dank. Ich verstehe Ihre Freundlichkeit. Es ist eine Qualität, ich respektiere und zurück. In Hawaii wir sagen, "Mahalo und Aloha."
A) I agree, it's not a Wagnerian opera. So you vocalized breaths, sometimes it's necessary!
B) The composer's name is Ian Clarke, with an E. He and I share names, and I know I always get annoyed if people spell my name wrong. Wouldn't you?
I loved the performance, you played this really well, the multi-phonics came out really well. I like your take on the piece, it's sounds fantastic. Good job :)
I agree with LozzaViolin. As a person who plays both classical and jazz, I can certainly appreciate the complexity of the techniques that are displayed in this piece! I also believe that there is CERTAINLY a place in this world for Programmatic music.... it forces the listener to close their eyes and put a picture to what they are hearing. I don't think it's naive... or an imitation, for that matter. I've never heard anything quite like it. Nice job, hawaiianflutist

Or MAYBE just MAAAYBE Ian Clark is a kind of frontier for new techniques on the flute, you are an idiot... seriously... I play classical music and modern music and can appreciate the attributes of both, not like idiots and people like you. sure YOU are the naive one?
Great playing but dont you get more out of playing real music? Ive got nothing against liking this genre, but why not play composers who know how to write something that can change the way you behave or think... thats true art surely? Am I the only person whos not afaid to say it? Ian Clarke's writing is a naive immitation, a joke. He cowers at the footsteps of the greats. When will people see reason and stop playing this useless music, its not worth the paper on which it is printed.
haha very true! I like playing this piece very much but I was yelled at for 6 minutes for vocalizing breath : P. I guess I am kinduv biased about it after that. But amazing performance! How did you build up your circular breathing?
Your tone is just bewitching! Wow. :D

Thanks for the comment, but it's not a Wagnerian Opera! This piece cries out to defy convention.
