You kinda have to get this vibration going in the back of your throat. Once you get it, move it further and further back until it sounds really good. I'm teaching myself how to throat sing. I think Yat-Kha's best song in Solun Chaagai Sovet Churtum
I have indeed imagined myself doing that but... Well, I don't know yet. As a teenager I don't have a job and I am still studying. Someone should write a book.
WOW! This is BAD ASS! Belive it or not i'm able to Tuvan sing quite good i'm told. Kinda cool to hear this kinda music with western rock portions added!
hey, why should i doubt it? Paul Pena picked up throat- singing all by himself and went to Tuva a year or so later. check the movie about it, some information to be found: http://www.genghisblues.com/

I saw this group at the Adelphi in Hull, UK in the late 1990s and they were fabulous - a memorable, unique night!

No doubt about that, he's producing infra sounds sometimes, or so it feels.

I know Albert since the very beginning yet I never thought of imitating his throat singing. I wouldn't mind to pick it up, though.

He could sing in a metal band, his voice is really cool!!! If Tom Araya dies, this man should replace him!!!

Heard them in Kautokeino (norwegian Sampmi) april 2006 - their interpretation of Joy Division's "Love will tears us apart" is amazing!

I love Tuvan throat singing but it is hard to find people that can teach me techniques here in Sweden.

there's no way to pick throat singing by the book.

There is a book about Tuvan throat singing by a Dutch guy called Mark Von Tongeren. He's a pretty good throat singer himself!

Oh, oh, there is a crash course on the net! I am learning from it. There is a link to the site at wikipedias entry on throat singing.
