The only problem with QTP I've noticed on lower resolutions is that it's oftentimes TOO sharp. 1080p it looks perfect, but @ 480p it looks kinda bad to me. Also there's no point in using resolutions like that @ lower resolutions.

@PumpaBeno I find that kinda hard to believe. Anti-aliasing is simply smoothing out edges and getting rid of aliased artifacts that cause distortion. How does that interfere with HDR rendering? I'm sorry I'm not trying to start a fight, and I don't have oblivion running in front of me. On top of that i'm pretty sure my pc only does minimal anti-aliasing if any at all.

Is this just a restriction for this game, or does it apply to all games. And why would you have to force it?

It's really weird, I know, but if I want anti-aliasing in Oblivion with HDR lighting turned on, then I need to go to my ATi Catalyst Control center and turn it on there. On the control center I can also force anti-aliasing to any other games, even such, where you can't turn it on in the options menu or elsewhere. When I was making this video, I didn't know that yet, so I had to turn HDR off. =/

Nope, anti-aliasing does it. And I can't have both turned on, anti-aliasing just goes with bloom lighting. I know, HDR looks better, but without the anti aliasing there wouldn't be smooth edges.

There are 2 I believe QTP3 redimized and QTP3 reduced, look it up. It's made for 256mb cards.

I don't remember exactly. It's not a big update, there are just some numbers changed in the oblivion.ini in your documents\my games folder. You can do it easily by just entering a higher number at the grass distance.

You open up the console command with the button left of 1. Then you type for example tg in, and the grass will disappear. Or you just type ts, and there's no sky.

There is a mod that fixes it called ring of console. However this requires OBSE. Also there is a temporary fix involving disabling something in the control panel that will grant reaccess to the console.

Seems like you're having this problem? Truth is a pentium 4 CPU is anceint, it's from early 2,000s. I have it too atm, waiting for upgrade. Even with everything else being high-tech the processor will give you a lot of trouble with lag. In 2007, they released quad-core processors which are about 8 times as fast as pentium 4 if you get an i7 version (which is like 1 grand haha). I recommend getting a dual-core CPU from AMD or Intel, no need for i7 version- it costs around $100.

Without source code and understanding of the engines, you can't just simply 'make it run on dunia engine', and if you did, it would look the exact same, since its the same game you've just ported.

If you wanted to take advantage of the Dunia engine to make this game look better, it would mean using the engine and rewriting the game from scratch.

And again, good luck getting the source code for Oblivion and understanding how any of it works without getting arrested for reverse engineering.

good thing about oblivion is that the engine is very flexible and moddable + it is optimized so even with crysis-like graphics it doesnt need a monster machine to run. i have all kinds of graphic mods for my oblivion and running them without problem. (GTX 285 SLI, core i7, etc etc.)

I'm sorry to inform you that HDR in "Oblvion Engine" is easily possible along with forced AA.... with the right hardware that is.

You need to not name your videoed Oblivion adventures as, "maximum tweaked" seeing as you're only running the lesser Bloom instead of the more complex/better looking HDR.

I thought that was strange that you were doing Bloom.
