Shift , Spacebar and the backspace and turn it on while you keep on pressing them .. that's all and when the nokia pops up leave the buttons .. :)

The error you posted means that your sim card is not allowed (or able) to register with the network. 1st call your provider and ask him if your sim card is blocked (did you payed the bill? ;). If he says everything is fine than perhaps your sim card is defective - get a replacement (should be free of charge)!

this is called hard resetting your n97 if sometime your n97 txting or mltimedia dont send or recieve's pxts or txts this is how to solve the problem

this is a simple "Hard Reset" it cancels the whole memory of the telephone! watch out!

Doesn't accept 12345 & after a few attempts says code entered incorrectly 5 times lock code will unblock in 5 minutes, i've tried the button reset combination so many times now! please help!
