  • no Conn! This is a Radio Improved (Selmer)

  • What a great sound!

  • Yes. Yes. And Yes again.

  • wow 3:42. The drummers face lol.

  • Begonzi... awesome....... Conn.. it is his tenor? yes...? big bell and the sounds...

    Bergonzi!

  • A true genius, and Iv'e met this guy t too and spent time with him.One of the nicest guys in the music business. One of the top improvisers for sure. The way he tells his story on a saxophone is incredible and remember what Mr M Brecker said quote " The Bergonz is the only reason I still practice."No higher praise, remember also MB was arguably the next step after Coltraine. For all who want to know his favourite horns are 10ms with links.

  • the bass player looks like scofield in the 80's

  • chi sono gli altri musicisti?

  • wicked vid! is it me or does the drummer look like thelonious monk? :P

  • another wonderful piece of work from the man!!! Jerry. words say nothing...listening to him play....does everything!!!

  • j-doooggggg!!!!!!!!!!!! he looks so young compared to now. haha.

  • What saxophone brand does he play in this video?

  • @chrispotterfan a conn 10m

  • Happening!!!!

  • Jerry does everything right and he's obviously a grand master, but he just doesn't reach me as much as Michael Brecker used to. Taste is a very subjective thing.

  • quest love on drums!! haha

  • Just wonderfull |Gerry,,man I love your sound.

    Mario from Canada

  • the drummer looks kinda like charles mingus

  • Grande Jerry

  • Grazie Jerry, sei fantastico!

  • I feel so blessed to be able to hear Bergonzi on a regular basis here in Massachusetts. Jerry's playing - beauty and brilliance - Galper's trio is great, too! Thank you for posting this.

  • who is the bass player?

  • sound good hal is good playing

  • The Hal Galper Trio with Jerry - perfect!

  • Jeff Johnson - what a great bassist - once upon a time was on the scene here in Oklahoma City!!

  • Gracias Jerry!!!! yo no me canso de oirte...este es un trabajo magistral, quienes seran los otros musicos?????

    GREAT!!!!!

  • i'm gonna hear him live in a few days... I can't wait!

  • Bass players should be smiling all the time like the guy in this video.

  • that was great

  • LOVE JERRY!!

  • great player and teacher together!!!! many thanks man for great studying material.....god bless..

  • Y oooooo That's AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!

For those of you who interested in another idea of possible version is the song "FLY ME TO THE MOON" try playing all the things you are on the harmony of this tune and see how wonderful that is.

  • son acordes por quintas, no es muy difícil, jajaja

  • Really cool arrangement of this worn out standard! As usual, I'm deeply touched by Gonz's sound.

  • I almost hear some Stan Getz in his playing. Is he using a more recent 10M, interesting! Monster chops!

  • I dont care who you are, you gotta love bergonzi's playing....

  • Yes, you do.

  • The drummer looks like what Questlove will look like in 20 years

  • you got that right!

  • Jerry was actually in my house today. He said: how you doing?, and than he and my father did go down in the basement to practice for the gig they are having in Oslo tonight.

  • really?? wut do u play? do u have his messenger?

  • great arr.

  • Awesome. Thanks for posting this!

  • Bravo and well done Mr. Bergonzi. What a joy and inspiration it is every time this guy picks up his horn.

  • They play this on Galper's album "Rebop." It's the trio + Bergonzi. They title it "All The Things You Aren't." There's a partial transcription of Galper's solo on his website.

  • Jerry makes one of the most tired chestnuts worth hearing once more. Man, I'm off to practice.

  • Why did they cut off Hal's solo??????

  • This solo you can find on:" Hal Galper - All the things you are "

  • Thanks.

  • the thought he gives every line, every note he plays even is just incredible. you can tell he really wants to say something with his music. thats what i like in a musician.

  • Gonz is God

  • who's the pianist?

  • Hal Galper

  • Unlike some clip I just saw with Joshua Redman and James Carter, this is all about making music. Gonz is one of the main cats of his generation for sure.

    Thanks for posting!

  • Wow, Gonz and his 10m playing ATTYA. Thank you very much darominu for all yout uploads

  • The Gonz is just awsome, one of the great modern tenor players
