A year ago today she had her fourth chemo treatment and in fact only had a hundred days left. She never went out running wild and we surely had a master plan. She would get sick on labor day and die almost seven months later to the day. She was the painter and I was the masterpiece, and after 32 years she knew I wasn't done. I felt her get so cold to the touch that morning and everything that used to be just got lost. This is a very hard song to listen to and interprate the way I do.
I had to sneak into a David Allen Coe Concert at the Rio in Longview Texas when i was 16 years old, and again when i was 18, then I saw him at Mickeys .. i always got in so much trouble for that. but was well worth those few months i spent grounded...
damn straight. . .and this song is overwhelming to me. I know it can't be improved on but just out of curiosity does anyone know if this was covered by another singer?
