Actually, in real life, Johann Strauss Junior's first wife WAS a talented opera singer, by the name of Henrietta Treffz. (He married three times).

She probably could sing as good as (if not better than) Miliza Korjus, because she actually helped him compose a lot of waltzes including "the Blue Danube".

Thus, "Ms. Strauss" WAS a talented opera singer, not a innocent house wife as described in the movie which is sort of Hollywood fantazy.
