Yes! The Goodwill is awesome . They usually have 50% off on Fridays and 75% off on Sundays. I'm trying to be good for next few months so I haven't gone but I am so tempted.
hey we live in the same town! Awesome to see thrifting vids from fellow Ottawains :) I wish I could help out with other thrifting stores but I dunno any except for VV. Well I know a few but they are super expensive retro vintage type places that I have heard of but never been and most likely will not go to lol. Which VV do you shop at? I usually head down to the Bank and Walkley one since I live closest to there. If you have the Super Savers Club Card its 50% off on Monday the 16th :) Have fun!
@alitheal06 wooohoo! yeah i moved here last year so i wanted to see if the youtube community knew what was good. i know a bunch of consignment stores as well! there's a really awesome one on bank st called "the clothes secret" or something. it's pretty rad! and i usually go to VV also because they're easily accessible for me - by bus routes! haha. i usually go to the walkley one as well but i've recently hit up the one near cyrville. that one isn't really picked through!
@latestperspective Oddly enough I went to the clothes secret (tree? maybe) last week. If its the one by farm boy that is. Cute place, have quite a few nice things. You should totally sign up for the card! Best thing about it is 50% off sale they do for card members only. And yes I did go and got some great finds. Im not a vintager myself (yes I am one of those ppl who go to VV to find stuff I could at the mall but for cheaper lol!) but ended with some great pieces such as
@alitheal06 ouh i'll have to check that place out! aaand i know i'll print out the form tonight!!! and who cares if you're not a vintager!!! VV is a great place!!! <3 haha
@latestperspective but ended with some great pieces such as American Eagle jeans, Joe fresh jeans, a small chanel type makeup purse thing, a super cute belt and a really, really good rip of a Louis Vuitton shoulder purse bag ($25! I have bought a not so great Chanel from the infamous China town in NYC for US $30 so score for me!)
@alitheal06 puh those AE must've been a great find! i don't own any joe fresh clothes but i wish i did! they look so cute! i always find chanel inspired bags as well! so cute! the belts are sooo cheap, it's awesome! awesssome deal on the bag as well!!!
@latestperspective Pretty happy with my finds at this particular sale! Ive worked in retail for a long time and know very well how high the mark up is on prices . . . taught me to never buy anything at regular price (with exceptions of course!) Joe Fresh is pretty reasonable and when they have sales they're pretty good . . . . but all my JF is from VV though!! I got big love for there (that was actually my first job when I was in high school) Long Live Recycle!
@alitheal06 yupppppp prices are crazy!!! hmmm maybe i'll try to hunt for some JF stuff next time i go thrifting! that must've been so much fun! VV is such a ballin' place!
I know this is kind of late but there is a new Goodwill on Merivale and they have some good deals. Also, there is always Salvation Army as well. But my favourite has to be the Value Village on Clyde. They always have good quality stuff and sometimes have great deals. You just have to ask which items are currently on sale when you go. Cheers

not meaning to be rude, but how can people suggest thrift stores in your area if we don't know where you live?
