  • This was the first song I ever heard by Joy Division, years ago. It got me hooked, and since then they've remained one of my favorite bands.

  • One of my favourites of them.

  • Two Glee fans don't want to be here :(

  • Sound of music is my favourtie joy division song , classic tho this is genius also , like mania kind of feel to it, liike a panic attack thats never going to end - could imagine curtis dacing like mad to this.

  • MOD

  • i can feel the raw skin of the drums and the teeth grinding bass n guitars followed by someone singing not from the speakers but sitting right beside me....seriously few bands can do this...

  • Well, this is what we call timeless music!

    fucking awesome in every way!

  • that siren noise sounds like it could be a telephone ringing.

  • These guys and Ian made sounds that had never been hear in pop music before. Mesmerizing.

  • This always makes me think of a certain house, always candle lit, inhabited by goth chicks.. Ah, the old days...

  • I don't know why but when that siren thing kicks in at 0:27 I always imagine a Dalek's head spinning around like crazy...

  • the guitar and bass starting at 2:25 ...omg...fucking fire.

  • Glassics

  • Needs more.... handclap!

No seriously, what a kickass song.

  • Oh man, the way he sings "Told you we should do it again". It´s like getting shot by a machinegun

  • A 5 star song: Glass - Joy Division [Salford, Greater Manchester, England] - 1978 - "Ian Curtis's singing possesses all the deep, fierce power to be expected from his performances,...It's the subtle shifts in the musician's parts that is really worthy of note here... Good first impression on the vocals that reminds me of Jim Morrison (The Doors) at times." - Substance 1977-1980 (Qwest)-1988.

  • memories... to trip day.. at other home.. other bed.. other spaces!

  • holly shit!!! sickest bassline ever...

  • I`ve loved this tune since the early 80`s...This is one of those strange songs that NEVER gets old, no matter how many times you hear it...The intensity takes you for a little trip....Also Glenn Beck is now using Joy Division bumpers !!! How very cool.

  • @MrNewspickle

What do you mean when you say "bumper"?

And how is something being associated with Fox News egocentric nutcase Beck considered a "cool" thing?

  • clapping!

  • I don't know what it is with this song, but its utter genuis! I think its one of there best songs! from the bass line to the trippy guitar, such a powerful song! that picture makes you want to be Ian Curtis. I wish I had half his talent! R.I.P.

  • Oh right pal, so because Ian Curits hanged himself, that shouldn't inspire you to be like him or his music.

  • -is it just me, or is this a song about wanking?

  • Either that or meth, considering it's called "Glass". Who knows.

  • One of Peter Hook's best basslines.

  • @u2spaceboy hes a dickhead, but he has a fuckload of good basslines.

  • @u2spaceboy agreed

  • i too
