Good job here. I've been doing a game for the past couple days for fun, but I think my group for an upcoming project and I might be able continue it together as long as they like it. So far, it's a top down space game where you drive a ship around and shoot enemies with simple, "follow the player" AI. You can even crash into them, but I've got tons I want to add. I wanna see if I can post the project online for others to play. If I do, the link will be on my channel.

Damn that's intense. I'm in first year university and we didn't have to do anything close to this extensive in the programming, let alone making our own models. Oh and actually having a game where you needed to do something correctly (had a window) was pretty cool.

you need Alice 2.2 thats the programming tool and you need 3D Studio Max to create characters.

I am making a FPS and wanted to make health. I wanted to make it if a creature touches the pistol (which is connected to the camera) there should be a message saying -1 health. I cannot do this plz help!

@D3monCo Have text saying -1 health be a vehicle of the camera but set its opacity to zero. Use an if else to set the opacity to 100 when the creature is within a set distance of the camera or something like that

Pretty impressive, I know how complicated Alice can be to work with. Also, it is neat that you created a concept for the challenge, instead of just 'mash the keyboard until you win'

Thanks for the positive feedback. People don't realize how limited a program like Alice (the program we were REQUIRED to use for this assignment) is, so they compare this video with modern day video games--more specifically their elements (graphics, sound, etc.)--and give it a bad rating. Obviously, we could have made the game look a million times better with more time, and a better program at our disposal.
