  • fantastic song!!

  • this song makes me cry, every single time i listen to it! so in love with this.

  • This song has definitely been there when i had a great time with all my closest friends the other day. I have fallen in love with this song! :) Haha! It's so good and catchy!

  • weezer's "stairway to heaven"

  • :D

  • basic goodness

  • Totally beautiful

  • this song is like sex

  • @joematlock Virgin.

  • @TexasYoung

I have two children and another on the way. Only a virgin wouldn't see the similarity.

  • @joematlock how do you afford all them children>>?

  • @TexasYoung he has a point, this song is deeply rooted in emotions which is an essential part of love, if you dont think this song gets people laid youre turning a very blind eye.

  • It's funny how I liked this band only after I got my heart broken....

  • @br0ndo Shut up, you idiot. Are you 13?

  • @CityOfDaughters I am! :)

  • Gets you RIGHT there, innit.

  • My generation's "hey Jude"

  • My Number 1 Most Favorite Weezer Song!

  • WHAT?!?!?! WEEZER WITH A BASS SOLO?????? NO WAY!

  • So close yet so far away

  • Great cd...this was probably my fav from it.

  • please people dont say weezer are good, they arent, Blue album was good, pinkerton was ok, and green had 2 actually good songs, not hits, but actually good songs. beverly hills was the tuning point, they went commercial, its done.

  • @Kurtney4594 I guess your right, two outstanding albums, a few good ones, and a couple of bad ones MUST mean that a band as a collective isn't ACTUALLY good. Some silly people, bless their hearts, seem to think that creating a GREAT album qualifys a band as being at minimum pretty good.

^this is sarcasm you intellect deprived monkey

  • @Kurtney4594 Weather its true or not it's odd that Beverly Hills is considered there turning point into the mainstream, since the song in a lot of ways is sarcastically making fun of the mainstream and selling out for fame.

  • @Kurtney4594 Pinkerton was okay? Get the fuck out.

  • @danielbutlerosim Fuck You dude, Pinkerton was simply ok, dont make it bigger than it was, it was an album full of mostly fillers.

  • @Kurtney4594 An album full of fillers? Are you serious? Let's just say we differ on what constitutes as good.

  • @Kurtney4594 If you don't like Pinkerton then fine, but it had NO fillers, Rivers poured his heart and soul into every song and that's why it's my favorite album by any band ever.

  • @Kurtney4594 I'd recommend giving Pinkerton a couple more listens. It took me awhile to really appreciate it, but it's good. At first it seems juvenile and full of plain self-deprecation, but it's actually (very bluntly) portraying a very shameless, yet degrading, way of thinking people can have when they're just looking for connection. It's sound actually reminds me quite a bit of In Utero, and as much as I love that album, it had it's fair share of, what could be called, filler.

  • A lot of ggggggrrrrreeeeeaaaaaatttttt memorys. Why does time go so fast?

  • @Nathalie060882 good question!

  • This is such a nice song. Im gunna look up the tab right now xD

  • Hands down, without a doubt, Weezers best album... They have gone to shit now

  • ussually i don't like long songs but this one is awesome weezer for life

  • Bass line kicks ass

  • The last two and a half minutes of this song blow my mind.

  • Who disliked this? Really, let's just think about this. What's there to dislike about this masterpiece?

  • @FunkySkunk55 i know

  • @FunkySkunk55

It makes others' musical work seem bad in comparison

  • best weezer album obv

  • Seriously, I can not see the Dislike bar!

  • Dat Bass

  • i was in us history class and i was dosing off and just had this bassline stuck in my head the entire time :D

  • @dudewithabeanie This song and sleep go together perfectly.....If I'm listening to my iPod before going to sleep, I make sure this is the last song I listen to.

  • @stgm hmm... a very good, neutral point.. maybe his mom was outside gardening and a emo screamo band member mooned her, and she liked it.. then she ran away from home to become a groupie.. and now, Phantasmo77 is forever scarred.. and hates all things "mo".. =D

  • R.I.P. Mikey

  • i crowd surfed to this yesterday, theyr concert was amazing

  • I nominate this for best song of the 90s. It captures the emotions of the 90s better than any other while being just a better song.

  • @MrClose2theEdge I was just going to post a similar comment. Such a great song

  • @MrClose2theEdge id agree if they didnt copy their sound from the 2 best bands of the 90's the pixies and nirvana, in which one of those copied the other. you forget blue came out in 94, the nineties was spoken for by 94 on whose king and we all know who that is, KDC.

  • @Kurtney4594

How can you compare guitar power-pop to either bands, are you fucking retarded?

  • remember when Weezer didnt totally suck.

  • @SpencerJacobMusic agreed. It was the final blow when they used autotune.

  • This song is fantastic, ahhh. It's just jamming out during the first half and then the chorus comes along and it's totally uplifting, and the last few choruses are the BEST part.

  • This song gives me a musical orgasm. Absolutely amazing..

  • The bass in this is so EPIC. I love it. :)

  • Holy fuck! I'd forgotten just how amazing this song is! Just the opening bass riff had the hairs on my neck standing up!!!!

  • I swear i have been obsessed with this song and Weezer since i was 11 years old. I will never get over them! Doheny Fest, here i come. Weezer Cruise next year, im a happy gal!

  • im getting to work late right now because i was jamming to this

  • Hands down one of my favorite songs ever!

  • For some reason I can't get into the lyrics of this song, but the bass line keeps me listening, because it's fucking amazing

  • By far my favorite Weezer song ever.

  • The bass line in the beginning gave me a boner.

  • you can't resist her

    she's in your bones

    she's in your marrow

    your ribosomes.

what band writes a lyric about ribosomes!?! ridiculous!

    Amazing song.

  • @brianmmf It's 'your ride home' not ribosomes.

  • I will now receive flames =D

  • The first dislike was from me! XD u mad?

  • @TheJoshua111 smh at chu

  • this song is about masturbation...

  • if you listen closely you can hear this song have an orgasm

  • I always smile when i listen to weezer

  • @niginai thats funny, I always cry and shit my pants.

  • @ToadsMGodes I sneeze. Then shit my pants, but all whilst smiling.

  • omg!!!! finally an awesome song that people with horrible taste in music havent got to! no dislikes!!! love it!!! beasty song btw

  • HAPPY 41st B-DAY RIVERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • its funny. i was born like 8 months before this album was released and im listening to it now. its great how good music can stand the test of time.=w=

  • fuck you all this is beautiful but weezer is still capable of something amazing, just listen to rivers' alone albums there's still the emotion the thought and the brilliance. yeah weezer experiments now and has fun rather than making real music but rivers still has it in him.. and over the years (AFTER blue and pinkerton) there have been some really good songs. I don't blame them for having fun at this point guys they're getting older they can't just recreate the raw emotion they had. =w= foreva

  • @Cuomosexual96 thats wat im sayin man!! their artist right? artist gotta paint a new painting everynow and then, even if it isnt as good as the last painting.

  • Comment removed

  • they fucking jammed in this song

  • The most beautiful guitar solo ever created? I think so.

  • Lol, 2011 and some people still complain about emo music. Weezer actually kinda brought the genre into the mainstream, and they were great at it. It wasn't until the genre started ripping of goth culture that it just got stressful.

  • Another great song UndyingFury !

  • so classic!!

  • You know, when i listened to weezer in high school nobody was with it. My gf is looking at me funny for listening to it right now. She doesnt get it. I do feel bad for her. Im only one year older but maybe that makes a difference in the musical taste, i dont know.

  • i think this is their only song where its easy to hear 2 basses and 1 guitar in.

  • o dislikes people, aint that something!

  • The Blue Album is one of the best albums of all time.

  • @mirokyu you're not alone with that opinion, it's on the Rolling Stones Top 500 Albums of all time :)

  • Best Album Ever!!! I wish there were more like it with songs like this one

  • I wish weezer still made music like this. This is emotional stuff, but now they are viewed as a comedy band.

  • orgasm

  • This song makes so much sense. I've thought about her every time I hear this song. Fours years later, nothing has changed.

  • @Dford16 amen amen amen brings back so many fond memories

  • holy shit....16 years have gone by.

  • @KingdomAtWar it's okay :)

  • Personally liked this album more than Pinkerton, but probably because I haven't heard Pinkerton but only once...

  • @chaoslloyd1

I hear ya. This album is my entire childhood, lol.

An awkward, geeky youth limited to unfulfilled desire, seemingly forever.

I guess not much has changed. Only in dreams, indeed.

  • @uberlogger Keep believin buddy. Sooner or later those dreams become reality.

  • This reminds me of an good old friend ....

  • i think this was the only song i didnt like off this album

  • @pith191 u obviously wernt stoned enough..

  • @Xallisto1 but i thought wrong

  • the guitar solo here gives me major chills..

  • It's amazing how much I can't stand them now, yet how much I love this particular album.

  • i always found the ending of this song beautiful.

  • i'm from mexico (cancun) i lived in canada 4 years and that was the las time i heard this album and weezer ROCKS!!! and brings me a lot of good memories.

  • Who is the one he can only see in dreams? Anybody?

  • i dont know why i like this song ... but it makes me feel better... its long too but that doesnt matter

  • this reminds me of always being in trouble/grounded and stuck in my room all summer of almost every summer

  • @deadfordays u r living my life

  • @123legodude lol no worries, it will be over soon enough, then you will miss it believe it or not

  • this album reminds me of mowing lawns in 7th grade.

  • favorite song of all time.

  • this album reminds me of when my first gf broke up wit me haha i listened to this all the way home to cali from nevada XD

  • This song is so overlooked! My favorite song for quite a while

  • Why don't they make music like this anymore? All this new emo and screamo and any others from the "mo" family... they just aren't good.

  • @Phantasmo77 u know y? no1 starts a serious band, be the change you want 2 see.

  • @TheKINGFARTY good point man, "be the change you want 2 see." people do complain, for lack of a better word, about music. they should start their own thing. whether it be a blog/vlog of sorts, website, or their own garage band. so again, i thumbs up your comment, and second your comment!

  • @Phantasmo77 Hey, Pinkerton was their best album. Maybe. This one was amazing too.

  • @Phantasmo77 one generation never likes the next generation's music. Though the next generations can like the past generation's music the reverse is a scientific impossibility.

And yes I'm in your generation... more or less... was 6 when this came out.

  • @Phantasmo77 its a generation thing :) and alot of other stuff targeted to make the children fo today less productive and effective, talented// etc

  • @Phantasmo77 Better question: Why doesn't Weezer make songs like this anymore?

  • @josh2ee Simple answer: The Weezer of today is not the Weezer of '94. The band is missing Matt Sharp and Jason Cropper. Rivers Cuomo's genius, Harvard graduate, mind isnt good enough to make awesome songs like this 1 without those guys.

  • @charlesabevan Jason Cropper? Weezer was at its best when it was Rivers Cuomo, Matt Sharp, Brian Bell, and Pat Wilson. But I agree about Matt Sharp, he was the Garfunkel to Rivers' Paul Simon. Didn't seem to do much, but somehow made everything better through chemistry. Or something like that.

  • @josh2ee Wrong. Paul Simon writes all the songs, and they harmonize, but Garfunkel is the one with the beautiful voice and is on greatest singers lists. And for you and everyone else, Rivers is the whole band and always has been. Thats why his masterful songwriting on this album made them an amazing band.....and for the same reason they are a pile of hacks now because Rivers just lost touch, or sold out, or who the fuck knows why he couldnt write songs this good ever again. Forever disappointed.

  • @charlesabevan he still makes good songs but he decides to add people to them or cowrite them with other people who aren't as good most of the time

  • @Phantasmo77 I have to disagree.

  • @Phantasmo77 Just be thankful that this music was ever made and it can't be taken from you. Who cares about today's shit music. All good things come to an end but at least with music we will always have it there to listen to.

  • @Shilo83 I have hope that it'll come back again. Maybe not for us, but for another generation.

  • @Phantasmo77

you mean in rock? Well US rock does suck, but you should check out what is being done in this genre in other countries before saying they don't make music like this anymore. Stance Punk - I wanna be is a great song very sad one too. Check out The Pillows. These are Japanese bands. Check out Delbo a German group or Syrup16g a Japanese band, Potato a Thai band, Bloc Party a UK band, The Editors is great too that song Brick and Mortar, Well Worn Hand, or Hot Chip

  • @lordblazer There's some great American rock bands still in the game too. Just because the radio doesn't whore them out doesn't mean they're not there to be found.

  • @Phantasmo77 he wrote music different back then,on actually how he felt, but when the media trashed pinkerton,he was so dissapointed that he felt he needed to make music that would appeal to the mainstream.

the lesson here:enjoy something while its there

  • @Phantasmo77 Stop listening to emo or screamo then.

  • @stgm lol i think that's the point.. he doesn't listen to those types =P

  • @ShadowKillerJ Then why even mention them? I don't mention Justin Bieber, because I am not a 13 year old girl and therefor should not have any sort of opinion on him, other then "It's wasn't made for me."

  • @Phantasmo77

the funny thing is that people say weezer was a cornerstone in emo music!

  • @Phantasmo77 this is what emo used to be, now its being associated with that screamo stuff, and this genre is almost dead.

  • @Phantasmo77 Please no "mo" :D

  • One of the best songs on this album!

  • @myz32rocks no sir, THE best.
