I agree! Instead of running away, as the captain of the club, shouldn't Chris Judd have realised it was a potentially harmful situation 'for the club' and whisked him out the back and had a quiet word in his ear!?
Fucking stupid entertainment culture. Thats what it is. Alcohol, sports, Herald Sun reading population and "lets have fun" mentality. There is nothing better to do than getting drunk and acting like a jerk? No surprise all the bars and clubs are always full of drunkards but bookshops are empty. Meh...
Anyone who shakes their head a Fev is an up tight dick wad. He was fucking HILARIOUS at the brownlow! He works hard, he's allowed to have some fun. Nobody got hurt he just acted like a pissed dick head and is was AWESOME! People behave like that EVERY SINGLE WEEKEND, the only reason anyone cares is because he's really good at football! Says a lot I reckon.
The fact of the matter is, when you become an high class sportsman, people start to look up to you. Kids want to become just like you. That kind of thing comes with a little responsibility.
Mate, he is representing his football club - he is not 15 years old. When you earn a fortune, you have responsibilities - if you want to get shitfaced, stay at home.
Fully agree with you. Why did not some of his club mates or club officials take him away for a "time out" instead of letting him embarass himself. yes I know it is not up to them to keep everyone on the straight and narrow, but surely if your friend was drunk making an ass of themselves at a work function, you'd do something to protect them.
He is a PROFESSIONAL football player. They are regarded as PROFESSIONAL for a reason. If he was playing local footy no one would care. But when your paid hundreds of thousands of dollars a year, you have a responsibility.
That's right. He is payed Xamount to be a footballer, what he does off field is his business. Grow a brain or more importantly, develop a personality you boring fuck.
lol hang on a minute.. I found it just as hilarious as the next person, but at the end of the day a professional football club frowns on that behaviour as it makes them look bad. Off the field he is still representing. Same as an off duty police officer cant afford to play up in public. It looks bad on the police.
I understand your point, but a police officer is a bad example as their job is to uphold the law, not kick a ball through sticks. The AFL and general public need to realize that players are human beings not programmable robots. No employer should ever have the right to tell an employee how to behave out of work hours. Society has laws to follow and Fev broke none of them, companies have no right to fine their employees, that is what courts are for.
LOL, Those days are long gone. He gets paid and signs a contract with the AFL and the club regarding the expected behaviour on and off the field. If you can't abide by that.........don't sign it! Play in local league.
The AFL are not asking him to be a robot, just telling him that vomiting from alcohol at important "events" is not really what it's all about. Look at Hirdie.... behaved like a true gentleman as always!
Better still, people should go watch the local league and tell the AFL to stick it up their ass. I know for me personally that I like to watch the best footballers, not the most well behaved ones. Would you rather your team win football games or brownie points? The AFL imposes ridiculous sanctions on players they know will be broken so they can hit 'em up for some bucks. The melee rule is a prime example.
why didn't someone stop him? jesus christ he's had to many... every1 would of known that when they saw him why didnt they do something
