  • Which brand adjustable stock did you use on your Saiga 223?

  • how much did the conversion cost u?

  • Where did you get the Saiga pre-conversion and how much did it cost?

  • can a siaga shoot a .223 if not what other than a 7.62x39?

  • @mrpops09 They make .223, .308, and 7.62x39

  • @rjs3484 my saiga is a 7.62x39...so ur saying it can shoot the .223 and .309 as well?

  • @mrpops09 No, definitely not. They make 3 different calibers. They also make the same type of gun in 12, 20 and .410 gauge (shotguns).

  • @rjs3484 thanks. did you see my pm to you?

  • Soooo......ya made an Ak

  • How hard of a job is it to move the trigger forward? I pick mine up in 2 days an would love any info on the drilling holes and moving the trigger up to the mag it looks so much better

  • how much did this rifle cost you?

  • @wilfredotour2 Well on the average market the Saiga's usually are about $375 without any FFL or shipping applied. Check at local gun shows and shops for a good price.

  • @wilfredotour2 i got my converted and used for 350

  • That's a really nifty toy. I can't tell from the video -- did you use a single- or double-hook trigger?

  • thanks for sharing this video... helped me a lot with my "restoration".

  • I just finished my Saiga conversion. I did mine close to the same way you did. except, I used a standard black syn. AK stock, standard black AK pistol grip and Tapco pin retainer.

  • Where'd you get the G2 trigger kit? I want to make sure I purchase the right one, and that I don't overpay.

  • Great stuff...works well

  • what web site did you get your information for the conversion ?

  • did u finish, i was considering buying this gun?

  • @jondoethegreat Buy one. They're the best. I have 2.

  • Who says anything about needing this to feel safe? I personally just like shooting. Why don't you grow a pair and try it sometime.

  • LoL.... Yeah, why don't u grow a pair buddy...... I feel very safe at night. People like us keep people like you from being torn apart by the savages!

  • @rjs3484 Feeling safe doesnt matter, but being safe does. If you shoot someone, they WILL die, 'specially with a 12 gauge...

  • Hey just wanted to thank u for posting this. I was a little nervous to do this at first but glad I did now! It was really easy. The only thing I would do next time would be to use better drill bits. I broke a lot. Another good thing to use at the end is 3/16 GM nylon hole plugs from lowes for the old pin holes, really cleans it up nice.

  • i'm gonna do this on my .223. time to watch the rest of the playlist :)

  • I don't hunt anything with it no.

  • I have an AK but the model of my AK is not an AK47. I have an "AK-hunter". I was wondering if you have the same gun. I look on the brownells website and find parts labeled for "AK-variants" and wonder if I can get my gun done with exactly what you show in your video. My gun looks exactly like yours.

  • Mine is a Saiga.

  • Is it by any chance a Norinco? I have a Norinco Hunter conversion, but it took a little more work than the Saiga. It's a milled slant-cut receiver, so a short chunk of regular receiver from a demilled parts kit had to be foraged and welded on the back to mount a regular buttstock, and there's no way to mount an upper handguard, but it came out pretty awesome.

  • your AK-Hunter is probably a pre 94 chinese, they can be converted but it is not as easy as these Saigas

  • @ty2000gtsr check the manufacturing. If its an a real russian ak it will say its made in Izmesh plant. If its a saiga then it will also says made in Izmesh. All others will say something different. I think its either a VEPR or Saiga. Those are the only hunting variants I know of.

  • @rjs3484 does this vid work for the 5.45x39mm ?

  • @alphacodexx most likely.

  • @alphacodexx Yeah this will work, Saiga 5.45 is the same format, but a little different. But his will work. Try going to saiga12 forums. They have a bunch of people that know Saigas.

  • Is this an AK- hunter?

  • isn't there a .30 06 saiga & i think its called series 100?

  • i was gonna get saiga 7.62 but every place was out of stock so i went to local store and got an ak.

  • how much did u spend on the ak? rjs...pretty kool man, gonna do it to my saiga. what website do i order the conversion kit from?

  • Will this work for the .308 version too?

  • As far as I know yes.

  • should've got .308

  • ALL SAIGAS KICK ASS!!!

  • Did you mess around with the mag release/catch so you can install a standard ak mag or did you just use a saiga mag?

  • Yes I did. I just took a small file and ground it down a little bit so that regular AK mags would work. My surefire mag still works also. If you had a dremel that would be ideal.

  • because full auto is only for guys who cant shoot worth shit. waste of ammo. And the biggest reason would be not going to prison for along time.

  • zf66: If you want to convert it to full auto please contact the guys at the BATFE when you are done and give them your name, address, and jumpsuit size and then clear your calendar for the next 10 years.

As much as I completely disagree with the law, it is still the law, and converting a semi-auto to full-auto, since May, 1986, unless you are a Class II FFL/SOT, is illegal with serious consequences.

  • There are legal ways of converting a rifle full auto.

  • Maybe in a country other than the US. In the US, the only legal way is to be a Class II. There may be a way of doing it for a law enforcement agency (I think) if you get a letter from that agency and get ATF approval ahead of time. But even then, you have to immediately surrender it to the law enforcement agency once completed. Prior to '86, you could convert legally on a Form 1, with ATF approval. After '86, no conversions. You can only have machine guns converted & registered prior to '86

  • @ocerinland i'm pretty sure this is legal being this is pretty much exactly what arsenal does to the saigas to make em high(regular) capacity. as long as you have your 922r compliance parts it's legal.

  • @manufacturedcitizen its totally legal as long as you have the proper ammount of us compliance parts. meaning us pistol grip, stock, fcg and i think youre good with just those as long as theyre us made. just get everything for the conversion from tapco and some of the vendors on saiga-12.com forums youll be good to go.

  • Amen. However, you can convert any semi-auto into auto with just a rubber band and no disassembly. I can't tell you how to do it for obvious reasons (young adults, criminals, irresponsible adults) but that's one thing the military taught me that stuck. I obey the laws, but on club property I pull out the rubber band on occasion. Be safe out there.

  • @mailman37645 ha. i know the rubber band trick too. it's a federal felony to do it so it's not recommended. also, i know a permanent semi to fully auto trick but as you said i won't post it for the same said reasons.

  • @manufacturedcitizen LOL. Yea, spent many years in the military so you tend to learn a few tricks of the trade. And you know I would never try that trick but I have never saw (or found) the law that states that it is a felony. Do you happen to have any info on that? But, dang, could always fire a round, throw a rock, fire a round, throw a rock..................good vid brother.

  • @manufacturedcitizen you wanna message me and i give u my personal email son? lol

  • What are you trying to do in these videos if you arn't making full auto?

  • Convert it to pistol grip configuration.

  • I just converted mine. I used your video and the

cross-conn web site as constant references. Aside from putting the hammer in backwards the first time it went with out a hitch. Thanks for posting this bro, you took all the guess work out!

  • Do you plan on putting a bullet guide on this rifle so you can use Mil-spec AK mags? I've been throwing around buying a rifle like this to convert over. After seeing your video I'm pretty much dead set on doing it. Where did you get that butt stock and pistol grip? Are they US made. Also for me to be able to use foreign made mags I'd have to have 5 US made parts correct? Such as FCG(3), Pistol Grip or Butt Stock(1), and Gas Piston(1)?

  • You sir are awesome for posting this!

  • yeah
