  • dude stop playing games rageaholic

  • Thank God. Someone that doesn't like this game.

  • I think this is the first of many in a horrible line of over hyped games that come out sub par : (

  • This is the worst review I've ever heard.

  • well well wel..... you just got yourself a new subcriber!

  • your seriously bitching about class removal? its a title

  • What they could have done like zelda, few character creation. In the begining of eny zelda, you have the honor to create a character and give him a name, and your saves will stick on too that character only.

Skyrim could have done the same thing.

  • @frodo9 Zelda doesn't have character creation. You pick a name for Link, and that's it.

  • The Freedom to do FuckShit is what makes the Game Fun

  • hahaha good one, agree with everything

  • its like a 200 hour game and your main complaint is re-playability? holy shit this review is trash, and no im not a fanboy

  • @3eyedCyclopz The fact that the older games where the same(very,VERY long.) and they had re-playability due to the classes and now it's gone.

  • Well not to mention that they seem to run on a checklist of every fantasy cliche they can stuff into the game and a TON of the hype is just "you get to slay dragons", which in my case does the total opposite of hype up.

  • @DanielKay06 Elder Scrolls have been fantasy games since the beginning, and you're surprised that they have fantasy elements in their games?

  • @soranaru

No, the problem is they now rely on the most basic cliche story elements when before they actually tried to be original. They failed on a lot of them before but they at least tired.

  • Im a PC gamer.. but that made me laugh up my fuckin luch

  • :0 holy shit dude you are right i didn't notice any of this up until now, you my friend have really helped me out god speed :)

  • It's still an extremely addictive game, despite all the flaws.

Anyway! This is the first time I've seen Savatage (if only a picture) on a video game review. Subscribed.

  • wow someone finally told PC gamers the truth,

  • I don't think he actually played skyrim, cuz if he had he would've never had time to make this video

  • I think... I'm your newest fan!

  • Skyrim is a piece of shit, easily one of the most superficial "games" to ever exist.

Buying this game is detrimental to gaming as a whole. Anyone who bought this game absolutely fucking HATES gaming with a burning passion. You have sent a desperate signal from gamers to game developers, basically telling them that they can get away with this type of shit. You hate video games.

  • Love your reviews, but what bothers me about this one is that you want the game to be more restrictive based on the choices you make at the beginning just so new characters are more appealing to create. I can understand how this could potentially increase replayability, but I raise a red flag whenever a game tries to restrict what I'm able to do without having to completely start all over. I agree that each race should have been given a little more diversity though, rather than just one ability.

  • @OhaimynameisErik

But that's just it... having classes never made Elder Scrolls restrictive. In fact, you were able, at the beginning, to create your own class with whatever major and minor skills you liked.

And once said class was generated, you were then free - just as in Skyrim - to wander around, leveling up whatever skills you wanted to. You could be a battle-axe-wielding mage in Daggerfall. But it ameliorated the doldrums of the beginning of the game to have an actual class.

  • @xRazorFistx That's a good point. It should be noted that at least there are stones to find close to the beginning of the game that can nudge you in whatever direction you'd like to start off with. Although that honestly should be part of the create a character process, and having to actively look for the specific stone you want is pretty lame if you don't want the first few available. But anyway, these reviews are great and refreshing compared to others. Subbed!

  • wow, someone finally not creaming thier jeans over this thing.

  • Fracture eh?

  • Is there any chance of you reviewing you reviewing what many others consider this games competition, Dark Souls? I reckon you'd like the game but some of the shit that happens would fuel your rage.

  • This video contains truth.

  • YOU HAD ME AT ZANDIG JESUS

  • _Thank you_ for being virtually the only person to call out the removal of the class system. The classes in TES were never as distinctive as those in, say, NWN, but they at least gave you a template to work from. Their absence means that anyone who doesn't want to end up as Marty Master-of-None has to painstakingly map out their own class. It's the sort of streamlining I hate: it alleviates the burden of having to make all those terrifying "decisions" for casuals and screws over the rest of us.

  • I was agreeing with you until you brought up pc master race, lol, silly consolefags

  • @apothe6 the issue he is talking about is the fact that people claim that simply because PC players are able to fix a badly optimised game or to add features that should have been crucial to it doesnt mean they are REQUIRED to do so in order to get the proper experiencce

2gb ram limit comes to mind and shitty fov

  • Comment removed

  • It's true, there's no such thing as a "class" in Skyrim and that's what kills the game for me. By the end of every single playthrough you will ever have, you will be the exact same character every time. It's impossible to go full Warrior/Mage/Thief without delving into a sub-skill set. And it's sad that those are really the only 3 possible classes (no "Druid" type, no "Necromancer", no "Bard", nope, just the holy trinity that WoW has made you all accustomed to, I guess that's why Beth did it).

  • here is a tip save just before the two guards start asking you who you are (charater creation)

now you will never have to wait again

  • Skyward Sword was better.

  • I actually agree with some of your points, yet I'd still rather start up a new character in Skyrim than try & play Morrowind, Oblivion or Daggerfall (never played Arena).

My first character was a generic 1 handed nord. My second Character is a High elf that starts with extra 50 extra magic, & higher levels in the Magic schools.

I think Khajit or Argonians start with higher thief skills.

Personally, I think setting a class at the beginning of a game before you've even played is assbackwards

  • @mangaas

How is picking a class at the beginning of the game 'ass-backwards'?

You start the game as a character who can be no younger than age 20.

What kind of person (aside from the Irate Gamer) has accrued absolutely NO SKILLS by age 20?

  • @xRazorFistx

I don't like being forced into making important decisions at the beginning, before I've experienced the actual gameplay.

In Skyrim, you level up so quickly at beginning, that the first dungeon kinda feels like its own character creation, with the advantage of you trying out everything & then deciding how you'll play

The slight skill boosts shouldn't be tied to race, but other than that, the blank slate approach for new characters seems like a more natural decision process to me.

  • @xRazorFistx IG is somewhat skilled at getting away with being an idiot

  • @xRazorFistx

Would it have solved the problem for you if they pulled something else from Fallout and let you tag skills at character creation?

  • Comment removed

  • yes is game of the year

  • Comment removed

  • I would disagree with you about the whole game needing to be finished. What you equated it to was the fast food chain not making the burger exactly how you wanted it, rather than not making it at all. If you want that burger to have anything else, you have to put it on it yourself, or remove those damned pickles yourself.

  • @Combicon What they basically did was hand us a cooked burger topped in cool whip, but with no buns, yes, they can't please everyone, but they shouldn't remove an essential part of the fucking formula and add something that should never have been in the game.

  • This video.. almost every point is something I hadn't considered as a problem till now. I didn't mind the lack of classes, but I didn't stop to think how much something so simple changes a game's formula.

The regenerating health is the only point I disagree on. In combat regen is nearly nothing. It's just a change to reduce downtime to snap you back into the action. Sadly, the real issue is Skyrim has no action to be snapped back into.

  • this is etiher not the best rpg game of all time or i cant stand rpg games. this was the first rpg game i played like ever and it was pretty dull and booooring :\

  • you could have also mentioned you can turn your character into a giant gary stu/mary sue, not only am i the dragon born, but i'm also the companions harbinger, listener, then dark brotherhood leader and i'm guessing it's possible to become thieves guild master

  • MY FUCKING SIDES, I THINK THEY ARE AS BROKEN AS THIS GAME

Glad i never payed for this shit I couldn't even drag myself through a second play-through. The only replayability this game has is in which 1 of the 2 warring factions you side with. No other meaningful factions or character progression to be found, just mindless samedungeon crawling. I would rather play Morrowind for 10,000th time, hopefully a developer comes along that can make a spiritual successor to TES series.

  • Oh well

At least we got the Creation Kit now.

I wonder if the inevitable super-anime titty mods will be allowed on the Steam Workshop.

  • Wow. Are you really suggesting that Skyrim is fundamentally bad based on the first 15 minutes of the game being "on-rails"? The fact that you regurgitate your word-a-day thesaurus calendar into shitty reviews about children's wrestling programs may trick others into thinking you have something to say, but I am not fooled. Please continue to make reviews for yourself, and your metal friends from the confines of your moms basement, and leave being outside to us sun dwellers. Also, do not procreate

  • "Wow. Are you really suggesting that Skyrim is fundamentally bad based on the first 15 minutes of the game being "on-rails"? "

No, that wasn't his point. if you listened to the whole review you would know that.

  • @a1ucardda1v I can guarantee he's a lot more intelligent than you, he's the Dennis Miller of the internet world, and Dennis Miller is mother fucking genius.

  • @laughsquad007 Woah! This is just a youtube video! Let's not say things we can never take back. Comparing the poor guy to Denis Miller? Don't be such an asshole. There is a name for people like you. It is a dirty little word called bully. Now get the hell out of here and let us all enjoy the mans videos. Jerk.

  • Awesome Iron Maiden poster.

  • @dblockakatsuki he intensely hates the FF series

  • Comment removed

  • Sheldon Cooper, please stick to theoretical physics and stay away from reviewing video games.

  • @xRazorFistx could you review Final Fantasy XIII-2 your XIII review was spot on I wanna see what you think of the sequel

  • Agreed

  • Thank god people are starting to notice how god-awful this game is.

KEEP TODD HOWARD AWAY FROM FALLOUT!!!

DONT YOU FUCKING TOUCH IT TODD!!!

  • Jeez, I'm on a roll today! I predicted that many fanboys will come here and complain that they don't like this review and state things to comeback at how it's wrong. Way to defend your arrow to the knee joke!.... Oh and Skyrim.

  • @gdfjb1993

Yeah you're right man, being an antifanboy is way more 2012 than being a fanboy. You're totally right. Keep on hating something because it's popular, instead of liking it because it's good. That makes total sense and I'm 100% positive you don't work at a gas station.

  • I stopped taking you seriously the moment you insinuated the tumbler-tapping monstrosity that was Oblivion's lockpicking minigame would be superior to the (relatively simple) mechanic in Fallout and Skyrim. I realize your shtick is probably "I hate everything about everything", but it's a fantastic game, and most of your japes don't stick. At all.

  • @TiredVigilante I don't think his shtick is to hate everything. Instead, he does the thing that every rage reviewer does, which is to accentuate all of the negatives in something and then make a pseudo-apology at the end, which is the point where cognitive dissonance kicks in.

  • @Rekkonen

Oh undoubtedly. The sacred cow barbecue is a bit outdated, though, and his style is too overstated and over-the-top to be considered tongue-in-cheek. At this point, it's essentially a not-so-elaborate troll wrapped up in a rage review, so the dude can garner negative reviews from fans of whatever he's hating on, and the post scathing but still pitifully-unfunny comebacks in his comments feed.

  • @TiredVigilante i think the point that needs to be hammered is this

Dont just streamline mechanics in order to cater to the casual kiddy gamers.

Was there ANYTHING in this video that you can refute?

    The game is unoptimised

    The dungeons are linear

    The opening in a chore

There is pretty much no replayability in Skyrim

The experience cant start until a few levels in

Your choices dont affect the world around you

Its not a bad game but it sure as hell doesnt deserve this praise

  • @kea919306

The mechanics are streamlined because that's what people ask for. Dungeons aren't any more linear than they have been. You see a cave, you go in it, there's two or three different branching paths, eventually you find the one that goes through. Just like.. you know, every other game ever. The opening was no more of a chore than getting off the boat and answering questions in Morrowind, or fighting rats and goblins in Oblivion. There's plenty of replayability if you adhere (ctd)

  • @TiredVigilante

to your playstyle. The experience starts as soon as you pick your race, their are plenty of racial traits, and that's a shitty nitpick anyway, because by the time you leave Helgen, you've leveled up once or twice and essentially picked your class (just like Oblivion). As for not affecting the world around you, it's ES, not Fable. I'm not even sure what you're going for there. So... yes, I can refute a lot of those points, yes it is a good game, and yes, it does deserve praise.

  • @TiredVigilante

    *there. Meh.

  • @TiredVigilante Well the racial traits dont really do much.Theres the resistance to fire damage and increased magic pool but there isnt anything that thats actually influntial to the experience like increased blacksmithing etc

Helgen doesnt let the player choose what they want to be.Not really anyway.

And no you dont level up in Helgen at all.

You need several perks until you actually create the character you desire.

    EC

  • @kea919306 EC made a great video explaining how the opening to Skyrim isnt suited

There are hardly branching paths in the dungeons with the exception of a handful(which is still a good ammoung considering how many there are even if stuff like daggerfall had plenty more)

I dumped about 90 hours in Skyrim which is stil alot but theres no desire to go back

because i know how every scenario is going to turn out.

It deserves praise but "best game evar"?Hell no

  • @kea919306

Of course you need several perks to get what you want. That's why it's called "leveling up". Go ahead and name a game where you start out with everything you desire to achieve already done. I'll wait.

And uh... yeah, dude, the racial traits do plenty. Look 'em up. I admit they weren't in the game for easy viewing, but there are skill bonuses i.e. +5 alchemy for wood elves or +10 one-handed skill for Redguards. Pretty easy to find. Again, shitty nitpicks about a fantastic game.

  • Hey Razorfist have you ever seen review with extreme prejudice? If not heres a good one.

    /watch?v=643KHP_hJB8&feature=related

  • you use too many synonyms in your videos

  • How is Skyrim a Fallout 3 Re-skin? If Fallout 3 was an Oblivion re-skin?

  • yahtzee wannabe.

  • Surprised you didnt mention how you can get dropped to the floor in a heartbeat by certain enemies at no matter what level it seems

  • Some valid points here, hence the sub, but I myself, I enjoyed being able to mix and match the abilities so I could tackle quests in multiple ways, such as being able to storm a fort and lay waste in one misson, and turn right around and stealth my way through an assassination without ever being seen. Kept the multitude of missions from getting boring and samey. I'd rather experience everything in 1 playthrough than have to play a 100 hour game half a dozen times to see everything.

  • @the7thlevl i agree with that but that was never the point of Elder Scrolls

I can understand placating to a more casual audience but it could have been done without dumbing down the entire experience

  • You know what I'm not gonna even reply to the idiot under me.

  • After 50 plus hours of exploring this game it just isn't as fun as Oblivion or Fallout 3.

  • Your stats are boosted related to which race you chose, instead of class. I suppose what I find annoying is using/doing shit in the game to continue to level up and add perks, when they arent part of the way you play. And then there is the obvious question of "why in the everloving fuck would a DRAGON ever land to be beat on with swords and shot with arrows in a crazy angry mob scenario? If you could spit FIRE and fucking FLY you would never...ever land. kind of makes the game silly-er.

  • Getting rid of classes (witch Fallout 1 did in '97) is the best about this game, that and the mod-ability.

I hope for the day when RPGs will get rid of the leveling system (not for skills/perks though) and implement a Deus Ex multiple-ways-to-solve-an-objective/quest/mission system (level design included) mixed with the Fallout multiple endings-for-quests approach.

Don't get this american choice A should negate/block choice B always belief, like in specialized american sports positions.

  • im surprised you didnt mention how much the quests suck. The review was negative but goddammit its right.

  • God damnit your a fucking geniuses, I haven't herd this much truth from a questionably bias reviewer since........ FUCK! Finally someone who sees games for what they are instead of what game devs want us to see

  • @balbanes1 So if it's an RPG, and it's from 2011, it has to be Skyrim? Like everybody has been saying, just because someone doesn't agree with you, that doesn't mean that they're views are wrong. Besides, The Witcher 2 and Dark Souls are better (umad?)

  • OK name a good RPG from 2011, Skyrim wins.

  • The Thumbnail for this video looks like the hands are holding WII remotes.

  • Looks like you have a severe case of Narcissism dude. I really hope all your reviews are just a shining example of how much of a convincing troll you are.

  • @grothita He fucking pointed out ACTUAL flaws in this game!He is in NO way a troll and if he's aiming out for that than he's doing it TOTALLY wrong.trolls are supposed to be fucking annoying retards that don't use facts so people rage.

  • @Majorasword64 All of them are moot points, "WHAT THIS NEW ELDER SCROLLS ONE, ISN'T AS SOPHISTICATED AND BORING AS THE OLD ONES?"

  • @grothita It's boring to people who are too stupendously retarded to be able to figure out a complex and deep game, just because it's boring to your premature mind, does not mean it's boring to other people. You see, being deep and being boring are not synonomous, actually, I would say they're opposites. When a game is hard and/or deep, then you compare that to a shallow, repetitive, and steamlined game, you become more bored with simplicity, rather than complexity.

  • @laughsquad007 I was poking fun about his points you retard, I love Skyrim.

  • @laughsquad007 I support this message 100%

  • @RuggedSavior Oaaaaaahh! Hell breaks loose. Hell's breaking loose! WITCHING HOUR!!!!!,\m/

  • LOL you have to build you're own PC YEAH duhhh you can buy a finished one! Yeah a PC is fucking shit you only can mod games while enjoying awesome graphics, you don't have to deal with console kids, you can play awesome PC exclusive games, this is fucking lame and stupid also for me, i don't even know how we can take this punishment every day LOL

  • @ifap2children The Witcher 2 > Dark Souls > Skyrim ;)

  • If Skyrim didn't have an on-rails beginning, I bet the review would have been positive. The moment something that involves Call of Duty-like actions are introduced in any game, all hell breaks loose.

  • @RuggedSavior even if that STUPID AS HELL opening wasnt in the game the issues still remain

Its streamlined to a fault :/

Dungeons for the most part are just a linear path with nothing connecting one dungeon to the next

If you find a dragons claw in a dungeon its definetly part of that dungeon and the instructions to opening the door are always on the hand of it

Its by no means a bad game but people need to take off their fanboy glasses to see it for what it is

  • Lol at all the Elder Scrolls fanboys raging at differing opinions. I love Skyrim, but some of you guys seriously need to get a grip.

  • One of the things that annoyed me was the character creation face on and slightly left and right why cant i rotate around my char i cant see my face from the side and the hair does she have a ponytail or plaits i had to make my char twice and sit through carrige ride of awesomeness just to change my hair

  • This may be off subject, but at the VGA's, I feel there is a motherfucking problem when both Battlefield 3 and Crysis 2, hands down the 2 best looking fucking games on the planet, are NOT nominees in the "best graphics" category, you know there are some fucking issues with the critics.

  • I was quite enraged that I didn't have a class like the other Elder Scrolls games. That defeated the replay ability like you said, although yes Razorfist, I do believe that the game SHOULD NOT have won Game of the Year being released in TWO WEEKS. If not Skyrim, which game should've won, and god, oh god please don't say Modern Warfare 3

  • motherfucking MANOWAR!

  • AVGN has another channel? O.o

  • @TheUnbiasedGamer No,you've got the wrong one,try searching the Irategamer or Game dude.Or better yet,try to find all of the 10,000 AVGN wannabes.

  • I think some would argue that you can be whatever you want whenever whatever. So it really is like GTA like you said

  • God, I want to hate this dude, but his editing is spot on and his wordplay is pretty impressive. Fuck, I think I just became a fan.

  • The opening sequence is about 10 minutes long, cry me a river. I agreed with ff13 sucking and DA2 sucks even more but this game fucking rocks, this review is retarded.

  • @balbanes1

Not to quote your girlfriend, but length isn't the issue.

If the intro had been two minutes long, it still would have been inappropriate for an Elder Scrolls game.

It's like Tiffany opening up for Motörhead.

  • @xRazorFistx Length isn't an issue, she just has a big vagina.

  • @xRazorFistx it does seem like no one is willing to point out about the lackking of stats and the fact that you pretty much will only boost your health or magic when you level up. That is something i found to be annoying in the game.

  • @balbanes1

So its okay to say something sucks if you don't like it, but when its something you like he's just flat out wrong. Doesn't matter, he said this wasen't a bad game at the end if you watched it all. But I think it sucks hardcore.

  • I did not like skyrim.

  • Oh boy never seen this shtick before, panders to the sarcastic, snarky crowd hammering out the same tired old points constantly reiterated just about any gaming forum on the web. What is it that compells every potentially promising reviewer to descend to the murky deps of mediocrity by using the same "angry web guy" image that every other youtube reviewer uses? You have a good flow and you present your points clearly but christ get some originality and drop the sensationalism.

  • @Devofone

It's not a shtick, and it isn't sensationalism. I'm just an asshole.

Stylistically, I'm inspired by stand-up comedians in the vein of Bill Hicks, Dennis Miller, and the like. It's not my fault if every stooge with a video game collection and the charisma of an expired bag of beets xeroxes the AVGN's style with impunity. I'm not inspired by him or any other hack with a webcam.

  • @xRazorFistx

Honestly, while I DO agree Skyrim shouldn't have been named game of the year (out for one fucking month), I DO think that it is one of the best games out on the current market. For all the things they stream-lined, they added a lot more. The combat and AI are better, no longer feeling stiff or the AI as easily exploited. As you mentioned, the alchemy, enchantment, and crafting systems. Then there's the awesome story-line....

  • @xRazorFistx

the sheer scope of Skyrim, the awesome side-quests, and the creative locations. I also, don't really agree with that lockpicking issue(but that's probably just because lockpicking was hard as shit in Oblivion). Also, the different races you select give you certain stats, but they did do that in the last game so I guess I can't really say that. Overall, I would probably still give Skyrim a 9/10, but not a 10/10. If they did this, WITH the original aspects, then maybe.

  • @xRazorFistx

By the way, I'm not disagreeing with you on any of these issues, but I just don't think it's fair to say a game sucks due to the fact that the previous one was better. Skyrim is a great game on it's own merits, but not a great Elder Scrolls game. They steamline some stuff, but they kind of made up for it, and I can forgive them this once. However, if they streamline the open world, quests, magic system, or dialog system and NPC interactions, it's fucking go time.

  • @MrNeoshredder I had a copy of this game. It sucked because it was broken. It's like saying Cheetahmen is a good game. Opinion aside, a game is not good if it can not be played as intended. Unless, it was meant to be played with lag, freezing, and many other glitches. Skyrim is not a great game. It's a game where you can't climb up a mountain, but your horse can. It can then fly off into the distance.

  • @SecretSquaff

Well it's not really that broken at all, but there are a lot of bugs I'll give it that. As for the lag and freezing, I didn't really experience a lot of that. It's not as good as the previous in the series, yet it still is a great game. You know what? Fuck it, I'm changing my score to reflect that. 8.5/10.

  • @MrNeoshredder It's not broken? I can duck an be unsee-able by someone right in front of me in, pure day light. You can petition a bard to play the stormcloaks song and active imperialist activists will dance to it. I was constantly attacked in my own house because a quest refused to finish itself. I strolled down a road and was promptly attacked by two elder dragons and a mercenary. There are more bugs in this game than there is playable content in the last installment. Atleast it seems like it

  • @SecretSquaff

Well actually, that first one is only true if your sneak skill is incredibly high. While I agree that's kind of stupid, that's just a common RPG-logic hole. Now that bard part is just kind of nitpicky, but I guess it does take you out of the immersion a bit. For that part with being attacked in your house, I really don't know what that is. And the two elder dragons and the mercenary just demonstrates how randomly shit can happen.

  • @xRazorFistx I don''t think you're anything like AVGN. If anything, you're a Western take on yahtzee Crenshaw, and I mean that in a good way.

  • @xRazorFistx Did you just call yourself an asshole? Its just great living in a culture where someone is considered an asshole for having a differing opinion and originality that sets himself apart from the sheeple... i mean masses. I agree with about 35% of this video, but i still gave it a thumbs up because everything you said was based on facts, i respect your opinion, and it was light hearted and funny. You're not an asshole, the person who inspired you to call yourself one is.

  • @BurningRaids Translating your comment in fewer words:

"GLORIOUSZA PC MASTAH RACE PWNZ U CONSOL PESUNTS CUZ I CUD SPEND XTRA MUNNY ON OVRPRICD HARDWIRE DAT PLYS THE SME GAEMS AS EXXBAWKS AN PIESSTREE WIF WORSE KUNTRLS"

Get off your mum's basement, you could really use it... u.u

  • @Terryracoon actually just being a pc player doesnt really mean anything in the long run

We do have superior control schemes over console players but in the end its the difference between owning a ferrari and a fiat bravo

They are both cars but one is more blinged out and able to go faster but both will take you where you wanna go

And yes before you ask i do have a job and enough disposable income to build myself a up to date rig that will last me for 4+ years

  • @kea919306 I game on PC... I also own many consoles, no new gen ones, though, because they all suck.... I went PC because i can afford it, and the way thngs are now, it plays the same games as consoleswith better graphics, so it's perfect.... But i can't fucking stand how annoying PC-fags are... God damn, YOU GUYS ARE NOT SUPERIOR BECAUSE YOU HAVE DEEP POCKETS! YOU ARE OBNOXIOUS! IT'S NICE THAT YOU CAN PAY FOR GOOD HARDWARE BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN YOU CAN BE DICKS ABOUT IT!

  • @Terryracoon YES IM SURE TYPING IN ALL CAPS WILL MAKE YOU BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY

    THAT WILL FIX THE PROBLEM

You really expect anyone to give two fractions of a shit on what either PC elitists or console fags truly believe in?

Just whip it out and measure it already fucktards

  • god I hate how much praise friends of mine give this game I hack and slashed my way through every enemy in the game with little to no challenge

  • This game is an unfinished mess, boring as fuck with more flaws than I can mention.

  • So, the ultimate question. if you're a fan of the series, should you buy it?

  • Im ashamed I gave into the hype and bought this game.. its as bad as ff13 but not as smooth.. Its just boring as fuck.

  • If Skyrim came with an Ipod Nano usb controller, it might have explained the baffling choices that were made when designing the GUI. It's worse than the Apple inspired windshield app Tom Cruise used in that new movie. Nothing says "convenience" like taking your hands off the wheel of the car to push around a virtual GUI with sweeping hand motions.

  • Comment removed

  • No room for discussion, Skyrim is a great game. Anything different is not opinion, it's just wrong.

  • @VampirusRain I suggest you leave this discussion early before we make you choke on your own words.

The man just called out major flaws in Skyrim and there are plenty of others reasons.

He said that this isnt a bad game but no this isnt a great game.It is simply a good game.

It has no replayability since you can do everything in one playthrough and by the end of it since you are skilled in everything there is no reason to reroll

Saying that his opinion is wrong make you look stupid

  • @kea919306 And a douche.

  • @kea919306 RazorFist made absolutely no valid points in this "review". I just wasted ten minutes of my life that I could have spent playing more Skyrim. If ever there was a game that was near-perfect, Skyrim is that game. And I won't have anything else, because that's a cold hard fact.

Oh, and if it weren't for the on-rails opening, how is it that the Dragonborn and his reason for being captured are to be introduced to us? Answer that question.

  • @VampirusRain Heres a way:

By not having the dragonborn being a prisoner?

By putting us on the ship that brought us to Skyrim in the first place?

Near perfect?Get the fuck out its not perfect not even close.

Replayability in this game is non fucking existent and for a Elders Scrolls game thats a huge issue

Want more examples on how this on rails opening is absolute shit?

Extra Credits made a excellent video discussing on how poorly this opening actually is

    Leave now

  • @kea919306 Replayability is huge, and yes, there are different playing styles. People are just saying that it plays the same every time because they do the same thing every time, expecting different results. Choice does effect the outcome of the game as a whole, saying that it doesn't is just a blind statement.

I'm not going to argue with somebody who's too dumb to recognize an instant classic when they see it. Go play some Call of Duty, sheep.

  • @VampirusRain For the record i dumped 90 hours into Skyrim and i have no desire to go back even if i spent that much time on it.

There arent many different variations on scenarios seeing as how the choices you do throughout the game dont have an effect

For example Dark Brotherhood i can either complete the first quest and go down that path without any way of actually quiting or i can kill Astrid and end the entire questline within 20 minutes.

    Want more? You got it

  • @VampirusRain Azuras Star:Only 2 outcomes Black and normal star with the difference being either a better trinket or simply a follower who i will never use.

Mehrunes Razor. Only 2 outcomes i kill the guy and get the dagger or i just get cash.

Thieves guild quests dont even have different paths

The only major event in the game that actually causes a difference within the game world is the outcome of the civil war and that doesnt even get rid of the imperial camps or alter questlines

  • @VampirusRain Oh lets not forget Paarthunax

You would think a quest that needs me to kill him would drastically alters the games potential ending.

But no i just stand on throat of the world and i just get some different dialogue from Odavhiing

I despise COD for what it represents and what it represents is you

You who thinks that simply because it became a more streamlined experience it automatically makes it a perfect game

Its not a bad game but it aint GOTY i can tell you that

  • never played it never will

  • i played skyrim...got to lvl 15 in like 1 day ...got bored...never played it again :/

no challenge , no variety in enemies/environments , fanboys will be fanboys, defend the game all you want , its a piece of fuckin shit

  • Another thing. I hate regenerating health, it takes away the challange. I blame Halo for that. Honestly, I blame Halo for setting the shit bar to a new level, like regenerating health and the fucking "2-gun" rule in Every fucking FPS! It seems like games now try too hard being like halo or cod and not being unique

  • I fucking hate games with super extended opening sequences, like this game. I always let the game go through while I watch tv.

  • meh. personal goty to me

  • what about wii virtual console i was able to play wiiware virtual console and downloadable content for wiiware i was able to play how about that

  • Mediocrity has come to rule.

  • I've got to say that a good few things with Skyrim just felt off for me when playing it. I couldn't take to it in the same way i did Oblivion or Morrowind. Too much has changed to it - it's now essentially Fallout 3 with swords. Overall - Skyrim is an ok hack and slash RPG but isn't a good addition to the elder scrolls series. Bethesda dropped a bollock here in appealing to what a wider audience who enjoyed fallout 3.

  • here's something brain damaging for you razorfist, one gamer mention about how disappointed he was about some bits of skyrim but here's the kicker all that you said is almost the oppisite of what he said. Not streamlined enough, a 2001 DERP game because it gives you too many opitions and finally not having the great story structure of DA2... Process that and I'll pay for the brain surgery you'll need to have those tumors removed.

    Also funny review as always.

  • Razorfist and his adherrents wil never be happy with anything. ever. They are blinded by either nostalgia for the older games with the their myriad of useless skills and boring gameplay, or they simply hate anything that is popular. that way the can tell themselves that they somehow have better taste than everybody else. also consoles are better. Only someone of a low intellect pays thousands for a computer capable of playing modern games when you could spend $300 US on a console its moronic.

  • I agreed with alot of things in your review, but I need to point out that there is a class system in skyrim. Except there is no obligation to stick with any class you choose. The standing stones throughout the game will give you the effect of a class and only one can be used at a time, but you can always choose to activate another at the cost of your current class. The first three stones (warrior, mage and theif) are found while following your npc buddy after the game's intro.

  • Fracture?

  • This review, is way to negative. Everything you say in it is true and based on facts, but the fact that you don't really touch on any of the positive things about this game, is pretty lame. You spent the entire review raging about the negatives and then just gave a vague "This is not a bad game... yet" at the end. Its not a bad video, but its not a good 'review'. If someone who has never played the game came here to find out if it was worth the time, they wouldn't ever play the game.

  • @BaldSpaceMarine

...and they also wouldn't miss out on much.

  • @xRazorFistx Well, it is a game worth playing though. I certainly enjoyed my FIRST playthrough anyway. I think we can all agree on one thing though, at least its not Mass Effect 3. March will be a month for grieving indeed.
