Well, this was really a reboot of the original Torkelsons series, not an actual second season. So, technically, they're 2 separate series using the same characters. Basically, you could think of them as existing in 2 alternate realities! (One with 5 kids, one with 3. Haha!) Kinda like how the "junior high episodes" of Saved By the Bell are actually from a failed earlier version of SBTB called "Good Morning, Miss Bliss" (which was set in Indiana and only featured Zack, Lisa and Screech).

Aaaah, very interesting about the whole SBTB thing with Miss Bliss. I personally would have been put to ease regarding what happened to the other two children had the series simply said something to the effect of, "...they went to live with their father," instead of just spontaneously making them disappear.
