  • no way to treat a real rifle

  • Nice, I drill with a 1903a3 but for educational purposes it was good that you used a facsimile so that you could do the movements slowly without injury.

  • We're did u get that rifle one cuz I jive need one

  • Learned! Thanks!

  • what a fag, use a real rifle, i'd like to see you try that with a 1903A3 springfield

  • @jsdrm6 lol springfield try m1...

  • one small question, that rifle doesnt have a bolt mine does, do you think the bolt will be a problem?

  • 10 lb. rifles make certain moves difficult to perform.

  • I found it very difficult to do moves with a facsimile rifle, it was way too light for me. That might have also been because I started with the full weight rifle, so I was used to it. But anyway, thank you for putting these videos up, I plan on practicing these moves in JROTC when I go back to school tomorrow

  • Nice!

  • I don't get the reason why people gotta brag about rifle pounds. Drill is still drill. This guy in the video is actually VERY good at drilling. So don't automatically assume that just because he is using a facsimile in his video. Doesnt mean he is a bad driller.

  • @13prawn you're just mad because you cant drill at all, or even have the strength to spin a real rifle, so stfu dumbass

  • dude ignore them ur just awesome ill be trying this when i get over my shock

  • people hating man... its alright ive spun with both kinds. i hate those kinds but they work when you have nothing else :) but im working on this.. maybe i'll put some of my spins on here O.o haha they hurt like hell if you mess up. but this does too!!! good job man

  • ok well can you tell me how to do it with a real 1903a3 demilliterized springfield rifle please ive use both and its completely different!!!!!!!

  • does your shoulder pop when you do that, because when I try it my shoulder pops and I'm worried I might not be doing it right.

  • nice one... im a instructor of my own precision drill team in singapore... you should make more videos your moves are sharp and earn the compliments... :D keep it up :D

  • damm i did a full spin with 9.6 ib rifle, i was nervice cuz my AI was watching me. yay!!!!

  • I don't care what anyone else says, you are a good teacher. It is irrelevant what weight the rifle is. I have found it's actually harder to use a low weight such as 3lbs. if you are used to a 12.5 like I am. Your Side Ninja Video helped me massively. I can now put it in my Solo routine for my next Drill Meet. I'm in High School JROTC Hornet Vanguard. I am the only first year exhibitionist that is doing a solo and I intend to make my school proud. Thank you for all the help.

  • Wow. Get a real rifle you fag.

  • Thumbs up if you broke a rifle's buttstock and almost broke your nose the day your instructor decides to let you try a trick on a 10-pounder after a few weeks of practice on a practice one (: (I did..ow x_x..real great confidence booster at the time haha)

  • You make it easy! Thx

  • I agree with @lyncanXX It is better to drill with a rifle like that when a beginner, because it cements the basics, and helps develop skill overtime. As a rifle spinner myself, I started with one of these, because I didn't want to start with 10 pound drill rifles right at the beginning. I still use 3 pound rifles like that sometimes, even after starting 10 pounders, because it's a great way to warm-up, and to simply exercise.

  • Whenever I start a new technique, I always go back to the 3 pounder. Then I strengthen that newly-learned skill with the 10 pound rifles. Plus, I think it would be easier to demonstrate movements like this, and actually safer. (btw, @lyncanXX excellent videos. These are helping me a bunch (:

  • @violinwesley

Lightweights are great, but I always found it fucked up my regular drill if I did light right before normal.

Lights are beautiful for first learning flowy moves, and learnin' the timin' for the double risin' sun, and etc.

  • @TwistedLemniscate ahh true that. I concur

  • Ok now try doing that move with a drill rifle! Not one of the gayass 1/2 pound fake ones!!!

  • @13prawn Really? That's why you had to look it up, right? Because you didn't know how to do it, right? Check out some of my other videos for stuff you haven't dreamed of. Drilling with a 3 pound weapon is good exercise. You'll learn this if you ever think you want to pursue higher level drilling.

  • @LycanXX

Don't worry, he is just doing that because he sees you are good at drill at has to put you down so he feels better about himself.

  • @LycanXX

Yeah they are, without my lightweight pipe I would'nt have learned some of the subtleties associated with 9lb rifles. Lightweights don't help with high helicopter skips though.

  • @LycanXX I agree. Sure, in my JROTC, we drill with 11 pound rifles, but at home, I use a simple 3 pound rifle for practice.

  • @13prawn lol, if you watch the vid he posted of his fancy individual from 10th grade, you SO wouldnt have said that xD

  • @13prawn do you know how hard it is to get your own rifle?

  • @TokyoAro I can answer your question. Hmm, how hard is it to get your own rifle? As easy as a website commonly known as paradestore (dot) com. Any person even interested in drill knows of this godly website.

  • @AmazingJesusIs I mean actual, Demilitarized rifle that weighs 9.5 pounds and is 43 1/2 inches long. I don't want some gay parade rifle used for the band flag team or some crap wood rifle that weighs 3 pounds, OR a Springfield...

  • @TokyoAro Oh, okay. Gotcha. That would be difficult. On paradestore (dot) com, they have an Garand that weighs 8.5; however, it's wasn't a real gun.

  • @AmazingJesusIs the ones i have are real lol, just hollowed out so they can never be used again .

  • @13prawn Jut to tell you, that is a Color Guard (flag rifle sabre dance performers who work their asses off for 20+ hours a week at times) rifle. Weighing anywhere from 2-5lbs. Yes, its a fake gun. But it is used for spinning in a different setting then a Drill setting.

  • @13prawn lol it's no hard

  • nice rifle adam

  • okay non rotc related drill team uhh ewww

  • nice fagsimile rifle

  • @0LuceNox0

Just because I sometimes use a facsimile doesn't mean I'm not any good with a full weight rifle. When you mature, you might understand how useful it is to have a lightweight rifle on hand. Did you know that the 2009 WORLD Drill Champion started his drill career with a facsimile?

  • @LycanXX ya that rifle is light, i want one so i can practice new moves, then perfect them with my drillamerica m1 which is 8.5 pounds. but i think its exelent to practice with a lighter one to get new moves in.

  • that thing is so light

  • Hey, thanks for posting this. I used to be taught by this guy at my school, but since he went into the Marines last year none of the other guys have been too helpful with teaching me moves. This is definitely going to help me when I get the chance to practice with a rifle.

  • dude why are you using a winter-guard "rifle"?

  • Because I'm at "college"

  • really? I'm at ""college"" too but i get to keep a rifle in my student housing are you not allowed to?

  • I have to keep it in my car. I'm in the process of starting a non-ROTC related drill team on campus, but until then, it's in my car. And when I filmed this, it was on my laptop, which doesn't film outside very well. So yeah, the most I was allowed on campus (at the time of filming) was my winter guard rifle. Make no mistake. I know how to spin a real weighted rifle. From your picture (with a bayonet), you already know rising sun. So this video isn't for you.

  • @LycanXX so winter guard also spins rifles?

  • can you do a reverse rising sun? if yes, can u post an instructional vid like this? i've been able to do a rising sun like the one in this vid for a long time before i found this vid, but it is a really good instructional vid...

  • lol i bet u can do like 50 spins with that rifle how much dose it weight like 3lb?

  • thaT looks like a 3 pounder

  • It is. Look at my other videos. It doesn't matter if you use a 3 pound or a demil. A move is a move. I can do it on that, I can do it on a demil.

  • I know, were you replying to me or TheDoggyProductions?

  • @TheDoggyProductions Are you suggesting that it's hard to do 50 spins with a Demil/Daisy rifle?

  • @stryfe41 duh lol

  • @TheDoggyProductions If you seriously think that it's hard to do 50 spins with a Demil/Daisy, then you need to take your level of physical fitness into consideration.

  • @stryfe41 are you implieing that you can do 50 spins in the air with a 8.5-10lb rifle?

  • @TheDoggyProductions Yes. Because it's not hard, like I said. Do you want proof? Lmao.

  • @stryfe41 yes

  • @TheDoggyProductions Ok, going to record especially for you right now.

  • pin your free arm.

    keep body erect.

  • Where are you from? I saw your video from the Alabama Nats in 07.

Are you from Alabama? The way you do your rising sun is almost signature to Alabama.

  • really? Haha, I'm from Florida. Tampa Florida to be more exact. I think I learned through Black Watch videos, and thats Texas, so I don't know where I picked up an Alabama style.

  • Thank you so much this video had helped me out soooo mcuh! I can't wait to show off to all my friends that I can finally do the rising sun!

  • glad i can help. :)

  • thanks, 1st rising sun walkthrough that is decent =p that is the most clear i can think of/ evert seen done =p
