@MikeysRC Anything I should look for specifically for a good deal? I kind of liked the idea of building it myself though. Have a little bit of personal pride and investment in it, kind of like building your own PC.

@Weetbix1969 They have a regular version and a "cartoned" version for $100 less. Why they would charge less for sending the heli inside a box is beyond me.

@ZeerosFate the regular one is has an alloy/foam case with it and the cartoned is in an box with polystyrene - best to pull it completely apart and check everything has been loctited then reassemble (you dont want the tail coming apart while spinning at over 8000RPM) - send me a private message if you want any other info can also let you know where to get the manual online although you can get the TRex one and it will do and i can let you know the address of a good forum group

@JoeGoalie Not really anymore, when you can find a RTF 450 heli of a similar quality for under $200 on amazon or ebay.

@MikeysRC That's what I noticed, I was thinking of building on my own until I found a TRex 450 Clone for under $200 RTF brand new, sold locally. I have no idea how they do it.

Hey Mikey, i need some advice on the gyro. Im getting a trex 450 v2 and i need to know what gyro would you reccomend. i was thinking of getting a cheap titan 720 head lock gyro or a gy401 gyro. i want to spend less than $20 for a good gyro. any help would be appreciated.

@frankie122 go to xheli dot com and buy the EXI 450 clone. Way better heli for your money than Esky or Eflight. They also have scake fuselages.

I would like to thank you for all of your videos, They are a world of knowledge. I got involved with this hobby about 4 months ago after returning form my fourth tour overseas (US Army). I needed some distraction and found it in rc helis. I started with a coaxial s107 but I needed more speed and control. I moved up to a MSR (fast little mosquito!), then to a Exceed RC Eagle 50 (slow tail), from then I've gotten a mCPX, T-rex 250, T-rex 450, EXI 450, EXI 250, Gaui EP 200 V2. Once again Thanks

Bought my Titan 450/T-Rex clone for $130 shipped RTF. It flew okay right outta the box but it could use some tweaking. Thanks for making these videos, I'm a newbie so I'll be watching the whole series so I can set it up!

Hello & thanks for your time to make these useful videos. Putting together a package based upon a Trex600 ESP. There are things I would swap out and replace. With all things considered, the basic heli would be approx $780 with good mechanics, motor, esc, bec, servos, gyro, etc. Then I saw a clone for $210 that was basically mechanics. Sounded good until I calculated the rest. The total for the same equipment added came to approx. $1000. So in this case, I was better with the real thing.

It will barley work. But eventually you will have to upgrade the parts. And I don't even know if the transmitter can be set up to work with the 450.

I don't fly or recommend the EXI anymore. I sell the KDS and another similar quality 450 clone helicopter frames......both are better then EXI, yet cheaper than Trex =)

hey mikey ive ben flying for 3 years and have flown manny different helis, and this is a great one for a beginner's i love mine but the real great thing about it is it steps up to my trex 500 and trex250 so i really reccomend this to annyone who wants to get into this hobby. it is cheep, parts can be found annyware and it is verry stable. thanks for reccomending this helli to me i love it!!

Thought it was too good to be true, looked up prices and really it is that cheap, looked up videos on youtube of the exi 450 in action and it flies great, so why so cheap ? I was thinking of buying a 450 align, the kit alone would cost me a few hundred dollars >> Ill save a small fortune this way and have more money for parts.

i crash my blade 400 and i broke landing tail boom servos..ect..the problem is that i have never done pitch/tracking lining up ect..is this hard to do? i do have a pitch gague..
