Never give up girl. That work is amazing. I am also auditioning for faceoff season three and auditions are open again just so you know. I auditioned for two did not make it either but am auditioning again cuz I believe I have what it takes but after looking at your work I dont think you should give up either. Good luck
Right On Christina! Your passion for your medium is very inspirational. So many people will abandon their hopes when faced with adversity. You have holes in your training but you work through it to be more knowledgeable and more efficient even when resources are slim. Keep up the good work and I wish you all the best!
I obviously did not make it onto the show, but had a blast making this creature for the audition. Hope you enjoyed the video, and best of luck to those that are competing this season.
Oh my this is fantastic! its funny the makeup you put forth conjures up images of the movie "Enemy Mine" which scared the hell out of me as a kid. I really hope you get through. I'm a film major with a keen interest in special effects what items did you buy at the dollar store?
Hey, great talent! Self taught right? I think we all learn by experience. Every success begins with failure. I started in Halloween costumes myself as well. Great audition video, I'd be surprised if you didn't get a call. Good luck!
Hey Kristina! great job! your makeup rocks…thank you so much for the kind words, glad you like my sculpts, they will soon be old school latex halloween masks soon…i too had to teach myself the editing thing, took me a weekend….again really great work :)
@Adom It was bladders. I had initially tried putting the tubes in my nose under the prosthetic, but my nose started to run! So instead I ran the tubes down the back of my neck and activated them with a squeeze ball in my armpit.
*applause" don't want to be cliche and say "you go girl" - but if I had 3 thumbs to put up - you wouldn't get 2 - you would get 3!!!! Theres so many people that think you have to drop $20,000-$40,000+++ in school to be considered a real FX artist or whatever. But real artists just DO what they DO - and a lot of these kids who go to school never do any thing with it when they leave it because theyre not original, self starters, or have the guts. I love what you did and I wish you the best -
@janedoemakeup Thank you so much for the kind words. I have a few kids in my studio that went to school, and they are really great because they were that way before they went to the school. You are totally right. School doesn't put creativity or motivation into people. You have to already have that going.

@backspins24 It was straws with Easter eggs as shapes embedded in them, and a book light that I ripped apart.

Love that you found a piece at the Dollar Store. I'm also glad to see a finished looking make-up in the audition. I've watched a few of them now.
Gotta' ask. Were those bladders under the cheeks of the make-up or did it just movie with your face that well? Looked fantastic.
