My biggest beef with this is the fact that it has almost nothing in common with the original except the lyrics. I can see where they took accents and chord relationships from the main riff, chorus, etc, but i've heard other stuff from this band and it's the same with other songs, too. At a certain point it stops being "cool, different arrangements" and just becomes "i know the lyrics but not the music, so i'm gonna make up some shit and pass it off as 'my own style'"

i don't care for it to be honest. i'm not saying anything against the talent of the musicians, or anything like that, but the style and impact of the lyrics were not meant to be received this way. and i don't think that makes me narrow minded. this style is just not conducive for these lyrics.
