Ah, gotta love running open diffs. :D Well, I never had issues wheelin my open diffs, just requires some finesse and make sure you can get good traction... skinny pedal helps too... dont ask hahahaha :D
Like they say, if you play with it long enough it will come............
Throw those tires in the garbage. That's the only thing that held you up. You need stickier aired down tires. I've gone over bigger stuff with mud 30's on my cherokee. With your set up you should have had no problem. Just tires man. Just tires.
@puppetmizer o... do you know if it's got a sye... slip yoke eleminator on the transfer case to the rear drive shaft.... just thinking about lifting my xj more but don't wanna go through the trouble of a sye but i hear after 5 inches you will get vibrations bad if you don't... thanks
@rumswigger yup if you go over 4 inches or so its recommended to get a sye for it, i got 4 on mine right now and left t case stock but you can here the reear d shaft start to get some play in it, vibrations on mine arent horrible just slightly noticable especially from 40 to 65km hr i got a t case drop to throw on one of these days which should help out a lot atleast with the rear, but ya if u go higher than 4 id reccomend an sye or atleast a tcase drop save
@CodyMinary009 right on, i got a 2 inch spacer lift but thinking hard on getting a good lift with disconnects. i'll def put in a t case drop. thanks for the info, how big of tires can you fit with a 4 inch? i got 31's now with cut fender's.
@rumswigger i just got 235s on m ine with 8 inch rims and bout 3.75 backspacing so they stick out far u can fit about a 31 without much trimming or 33s tops with mild fendewr trimming bout will lose some up travel in the rear suspension so ur flex wouldnt be as good unless u cut more from the fenders so id say 33s tops with fender trimming
@CodyMinary009 right on i got 31x10.5x15 on zj rim's.. think there about 1 inch back space more than my stock xj wheels but they still rub a bid on controll arm if a turn full lock. but i still run sway bars with no disco's so travel is limited. think i'm gonna run 33's after the 31 wear out. my rear 8.25 should hold up just wondering about my front d30 lol
@rumswigger A jimny is a little suzuki, looks kinda like a samurai. But i agree, he needs a jeep. Mine=87 cherokee 33-13.50 super swamper tsl's, custom front bumper, 6.5 long arm lift.
@redneckmowerman sweet man, i got a 97 only 2 inch lift, cut fenders and 31's wrangler terrians... nothing huge yet but i'm working on it. also higher intake with cone filter, zj offset rim's, roof lights, cb ect. it's gonna grow next spring and probably lock the rear 8.25
@rumswigger cool, i think my next ad on will be rock sliders and a factory front bumper with a winch mount. Then after 6 months of saving, get a winch lol

let air out of the tires?
TheXJthatCould 10 months ago
@TheXJthatCould the 34x 10.50 TSL super swampers are stiff , i only run 14 pounds of air , any less they might pop off the rim
puppetmizer 10 months ago
@TheXJthatCould if you let too much air out without beed lock the tire will pop off of the rim

Oh and puppetmizer, good job on the rocks, i believe loosing some tire pressure would have done wonders though.
