As a pianist I am he always inspiert me and watch his videos bless my soul his lips always said THANK YOU JESUS Antony Burger I miss you but I am going my best to go to heaven and see you there palying with you someday I know that Jesus had a place for you there thats y with age of 44 He said Son came and be a part of the greader home coming that Bill and Gloria ever had in earth
Wow, I've watched this so many times and I still am amazed. Anthony is playing before the very throne of God right now! I cannot wait to get to Heaven to praise our Lord while singing to Anthony's playing. Amen!
My friends, the Walkers, were on the cruise with the Gaithers when Anthony Berger had a massive heart attack and died at the piano. She is now in Heaven and listening once again to Anthony's awesome piano playing. Thank you, Hoover, for all you do to get this kind of music to us, I couldn't get it any other way. OneKewpie.
I would have to agree with you hoover4000. This group of Christian musicians have always given God the glory for their talent. Have you ever soaked in the presence of God....you want your arms extended upward and outward to take it all in! Someone shared your link with me today and I was saddened to hear of Anthony Burger's passing a few years ago. Can you imagine the concerts they are having around the throne of God! Brings goose bumps..to think what GOD has in stored for his children!
Hoover, I hope you get to read this comment. Anthony Burger was one of the greatest gospel pianists of all time, but one thing always bothered me. And that's when he would stand up in a very dramatic way at the end of a outstanding performance and take the glory for himself instead of giving it to God. Remember King Uzziah? Please comment on this post.
@Pollymyluv , I Can't beleive that you would think such a thing about a vey fine man. He (WAS) a very fine Christian man and no doubt one of the finest pianist in the world. I've listened to, and watched him for the last 15 years, And never once felt like he was being anything but Humble and Always willing to give God all the Glory and Credit for his talent. I don't mean to be criticizing you in any way. But. Please, think about what you're saying. God Bless, Keith
@Pollymyluv - I always felt that he was so overflowing with the spirit that he just bursts up. Look how he starts rocking on the stool as songs progress. He was very humble.
I had the opportunity to meet this incredible person back in 1990... I am a former southern gospel pianist...I still play country and some southern gospel now...but mostly I do a lot of Film score work...Anthony was one of the most humble and kind people that I ever got to meet...Was immensely saddened to hear of his passing... He went home in the way that he wanted...In front of the keyboard of a piano.. That is the way I want to go :)
Anthony IS the greatest Gospel and other genre's of pianist ever. I do not believe he will ever be surpassed....and when he finishes he almost always looks up to God for whom he has just been with as he performed... Now he is there with Him for eternity. I eagerly anticipate enjoying his pianist and other musical gifts in heaven one day soon. We will be there for the second verse, Anthony.
I was one of his fans, and still am. I believe he passed away playing "We shall behold him". He is now in heaven playing that great prelude to the retun of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He will be missed, but bless the Lord we believers will be reunited soon.
While it may have been in poor taste, the curse word was meant to place emphasis, not to be foul, I'm sure. And you REJHHILL are now taking the better part of a page of comment space whining about it instead of focusing on your appreciation for the artists. I'm a missionary kid and a devout Christian, but being a Christian is not synonymous with being an overly sensitive, over-reactive prude. So move past that...
i get thousands upon thousands of comments a day. i try very hard to keep caught up and i usually do a good job about filtering. but every once in a while out of a rush, something will slip in a comment. And it's not that i'm not listening, it's that I have a lot on my plate and it's takes a patient person to deal with it all. I would hope you would understand that instead of leaving a dozen comments yelling.
I agree with RDS45, for you, too, OrganGuy. If God should bless and your talents increase, praise the Lord. But for now be content that you can play at all, and do it in the context of worshipping Him. Some of us wish we could play at all, anything. You have a talent we don't, so thank God for it. It is the words to the song that are so much of a blessing. "Let the WORDS of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in Thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer."
don't know if your man or woman, but I'd like to inform you that this man passed away in 2006. He always did play to worship the Lord and has one of the most touching stories you will ever hear. worth looking for.......
Auch zu den anderen: Ich kanns auch nicht abwarten!!! Ich glaube der Himmel wird einfach nur super schön!!! All solche Leute wieder zu treffen! Das wird soooo cool!
I can not wait until I get to heaven and able to listen to him play. He has really inspired me alot. I play alot of his songs, but they just do not sound like Anthony Burger.
There is none other who can compare with you Anthony. God blessed us with your talent here and soon very soon we will be enjoying music such as we have never heard before. Our Heavenly Father has the table prepared and waiting for us to get home never to be separated again. Hallelujah to His Holy name. Thanks Anthony for the music you left to bless us with.
wow. that's all i can say is wow. god blessed this man with incredible talent while he was alive. i have never seen anyone play quite like this. absolutely incredible. thank you, hoover400, for yet another incredible video.
Just hear and look at God's mighty hand through Anthony Burger's--"...oh what a foretaste of Glory divine..." captures it for me!! See ya soon, Anthony!!!
An exceptional pianist...A God given talent by all means...Try also listening to PianistFishermanGuy here on you tube..This is an 18 year old boy who has also been blessed with an beautiful talent and a very sweet and humble spirit..It appears Anthony's spirit live on as he gives him credit for inspiring him...
You know he is leading the Heavenly choir! He was absolutely Amazing. God had a grand piano waiting for Anthony to come and play for him like he did on Earth!
Anthony Burger was probably the greatest piano player there was and what a humble spirit. The gospel music world lost one of the brightest and best but we can be comforted that he is in Heaven rejoicing. We miss you Anthony.
There are NO words that can exspress how I feel at this moment. God had truely blessed Anthony with a great gift, now to be used at the throne og God. Anthony is truly the greatest pianist I have evr had the chance to hear. "TO GOD BE ALL THE GORY!!!!!

I startd playing piano 6 years ago...about a year into it i felt like i was no good...then my grandmother showed me a Gaither Vid. Alanta Homecomming... I was watching in amazment because i love gospel music...but when Anthony Burger came on she told me to be real quiet and listen to this man...I listened to him tell a lovely story and when he started to play the piano i was filled with hope that one day i might play as good as him...
may God help you to play like Anthony one day ;). i am a piano player too and i know that it's a lot of work to do, but you're gonna enjoy it!!! trust me!
I loved Anthony. To me, he was the greatest piano play ever. Now he is in Heaven. I still remember the time I got an autograph from him at a Mark Lowry concert. You souldve heard his testimony, it was amazing! :)
From the 3 minute mark on, he could have left his left hand off the piano and I wouldn't know the difference. I'm not talking about just hearing the melody, I want to hear every key that every finger hits. I guess I'm just too fussy about that sort of thing.
I loved Anthony's playing and miss him as much as some of the other Gaither performers we've lost. But I always wonder why, in a performance like this, why the choir and orchestra are so loud you can't hear half of what he's playing - much of the time it's just the highest notes that come through. Don't these sound people have any common sense at all? It's a pity such talent is obscured by poor directing, or producing, or whatever.
what a wonder!!??? thats all you can say!.. This video its awesome, this guy really knows how to perform and give glory to God at the same time. I think his way of dying was unique! (Collapsing at one of his performances).. you can tell he really got into his music!
I have always seen him give God glory.you need to watch his face and expressions. he feels what he plays. He knew his redeemer
