Mixing Vocals in Adobe Audition 3.0 Extended Version

@DarkChildMuzik the setting is called "pan". in adobe audition you can just do it with the blue line going through the middle of the clip or scroll the pan bar at the left of the clip with the volume controls and everything. the icon looks like a signal bar going both ways.

audacity is so fricken complicated you cant even drag the file and theres so much u have to do,sucks....mixcraft is way better.

one of my fav effects in aa3.0 is the chorus. i use it for instrumebts and vox. i usually swap the wet and dry making the wet aroubd 90 and the dry at ten set to two voices and other settings depend on the song. it really widens the vocals. use a small reverb on it and it makes a great start for preparing vox in a rap based chorus sometimes verses depending on how you mix=)

hey what going on man, thanks for all you help been doing this production thing for awhile but you can always learn something . i need to know how to record vocals in stereo with audition 3

@urban7089 Right under the Main tab in the multi mix panel you see two arrows pointing opposite directions. Once you hit that you can choose your Mic you are using or have plugged in. Once you highlight your microphone you should have the option of Stereo and Mono and several input options for each. For you just select Stereo and whichever port 1-2 you are connected to and you should be all set. You can do this for each track for overdubs, etc.

You use "Ambience" as reverb plugin? Its more the under middle class of reverbs. You may should try real high-fidelity reverb-plugins "Wizooverb W2" or "Lexicon Pantheon". Or buy like I did the complete "Waves Mercury Bundle". You get it these days already for under $ 8.000 so just get it as long you can buy it this cheap! These plugins are the best you can get on this planet - believe me - because I collect audio-plugins..

@CastleRecordz A mix of both my friend. As you may have seen from some of the comments here on my channel people think my natural voice sounds like Brian the Dog from Family Guy. If I'm doing a hard sell commercial spot I tend to use the high energy radio guy pitch, and use my natural voice for the softer training voice or compassionate sell. When a client is paying the bill I try and sound just like they would like :) Good question though.

Voiceovers are powerful, convincing, they make either the product, the advertisement more advanced, the commercial, the sell, the whatever they're doing for, and us viewers don't even realize it.

This is a great tutorial. It's amazing how you just adjusted everything. What my problem seems to be is that I can't hear my words that clear all the time over the music. Even when I record it loud and/or put the volume up, sometimes it just seems to blend right in with the music as the music diminishes the actual sound of the word. I have a good mic, I just don't understand. Also, how come Adobe Audition 5.0 I can't find VST's?

@CastleRecordz you have to use compression on the vocals it brings the levels that are low up and the ones to high down a bit to even it all out
