What do you mean? ? Do you know anything about cycling?!!!!! Read a few good books and you might understand! Try "from Lance to Landis" by David Walsh. You might then not Question my comment!!!
@thucydidesse Wow another person with no vocabulary and a brain that struggles to string a sentence. It must be a Lance Armstrong fan! What a surprise!!!!!!!
@thucydidesse Wow another person with no vocabulary and a brain that struggles to string a sentence. It must be a Lance Armstrong fan! What a surprise!!!!!!!
@thucydidesse Now that's not very polite is it? But all you could expect from someone who cannot argue a point or express themselves other than expletives that deride anothers mother. Lance has really got some classy fans? Why don't you direct your rage to something constructive like reading some books about this beautiful sport which Mr Armstrong hi-jacked for seven years.....well the TDF. Lets face it if you read his Palmares apart from the Tour......I rest my case...bye bye Lance! Its over.
@chrisbracewell - Yes, there is no point resorting to expletives you are quite correct. I am not really a Lance fan, but then, I am not of any of them as they all take drugs, they must do, as by your argument a negative result means nothing. The 1999 question is very easy to explain, if you know anything about Chemotherapy. The good news is that Lance Armstrong probably doesnt care what you think . He is still successful, Rich and making a lot of Money for people with a terrible disease.
@adgwytc Rich in that he has money, successful in that he cheated and bullied his way through an era of the Tour we will hopefully forget. His incentive is not to help cancer sufferers it is a guilt complex as he abused P.E.Ds from a young age and more than likely contributed to his condition, Steroids, HGH will accelerate Tumor growth. Chemotherapy does not explain his blood values being boosted on six key stages of the 1999 TDF. The evidence is clear he was and is a fraud. The truth is close.
@chrisbracewell - Fully appreciate what your saying, that's your perrogative. I do find it funny that a person who spends over £2,000,000 of his own money trying to prove his innocence for 2 years and then says "Hey, I give in, yeh, Lance was doing it". What a strange ploy and waste of money then. Anyway, I am not Lance Armstrong, neither are you so we dont know if he feels guilty about anything. Notice by the way that you side stepped the "They are all drug takers" section. Please explain
@adgwytc Poor old Floyd, I saw him ride over the Joux plan that day into Morzine and smelt a rat straight away. Floyd is telling the truth, yes he lied, he is also a fool, he does not have the fund or sophistication of Mr Armstrong and his Coorporate monster of a charity, Trek, Nike....et al,but the evidence is clearly their to see, If you take the U.S. postal team of those years 1999...you will find that the majority have tested positive, admitted, or have a grey cloud hanging over there heads.
@adgwytc Now to the point of they are all drug takers. I think there is a certain amount of truth in what you say, Historically the Tour has been tainted by drug revelations throughout its history. But the level of sophistication of "preperation" that was administered by the Trainers/Doctors of certain riders was beyond most riders. Dr Michele Ferrari was Lances trainer for many years and was prosecuted by the Italian Judicary for sporting fraud and supplying P.E.Ds . Read from Lance to Landis!
@chrisbracewell - Ah, good. Now we are getting somewhere close to agreeing on certain things. Problem for me is, for example, Richard Veronque, gets caught starts crying, is French, get's to ride again. The issue I have is not whether Lance is telling the truth or not, as you said, the truth will out in the end, either way, but that you are just slating him and no-one else. Even you must agree from a cycling perspective, the amount of publicity he brings to a tainted sport.
@adgwytc Richard Virenque showed remorse, thats why people embraced him. Lance bullied people in the Peloton, he is not liked but respected and feared. I have been following this sport for 30 years, it was great before him and is great again now he is gone, he bought publicity to the uninformed American public although you had already had the great Greg Lemond a true man, humble and loved by the wider cycling fraternity.. Lance bought money to the Tour, Nike, Trek, which corrupted UCI.
@chrisbracewell - Okay, let's assume they all say sorry, well, they should not have done it in the first place. It is like a married person cheating, they are only sorry because they got caught. Look at Vinakourov, he has not apologiesed, shown no remorse, yet is okay to carry on being a pain in everyone's side. But, as we have already discussed and kind of agreed upon, until there is eveidence you cannot deem one person guilty. There is only suggested evidence. Wont get you far in court.
@chrisbracewell - As an add on to that, a group of us in 2005 were at the top of the Pla'd adet in the Pyrenees when Armstrong appeared. The guy was in the middle of training and took time out to talk to us have photo's taken, he was, in my view, very magnaminous. Also, extremely polite and answered all our questions. Remember, this is in the middle of training. As a bonus, at the bottom of the climb we also met Jan Ulrich. Surely he had the funds to not get caught.
@Dilly1409 You clearly have the intelect of a frozen pea as you resort to abuse. Read a few good books about doping culture in cycling, also check out the positive dope tests and admissions of U.S. Postal. You may the question Mr Armstrongs integrity!!!!!!
The product of a team, the product of corporate america, he won against the dopes, you anwser the question, not to lower the greatness, i think we all envy it.
Who knew what was coming after the first prologue :P
