@2001popi - yes this was quite a while ago so they are now gone. I would advise just to play around a little; I had no pattern when I made these, just kinda 'went with it'

instead of toothpicks use candy sticks these used to be sweet cigerettes when i was young

that way if little ones get hold of them they won't hurt them

ya they are, but better on cake as cheap dowel cuz they can bend in half when you try to put them in fondant. cake just goes right through them though.

maybe those red coffee straws/stirers would work though
