you play it perfectly however you are slightly out of tune with the music. this is in part due to the fact that the song was originally recorded on tape and has been distorted over the years. don't beat yourself up. you are very talented.
@erwartungstk sorry, i listen to johnny marr and other decent guitarrists, not you... i heard u just once cause i had no idea you would honk in my ears! its kind of stupidity think someone would listen what they don't like, or better, what they can't like...
You play pretty well (I'm learning how to play the middle part from you -- I learned the rest from Johnny Marrs' video here) but being able to hit the notes at the right time is only half of the problem. The other half is keeping the notes sounding and -- most important -- making it all sound nice, smooth and... musical. :-) Well done.
@TheBeginnersnow thats depends of how you play it, if you don't need use some open string in your guitar for the song, you don't need tune it down. At least is a big riff that you can move over your guitar bridge.
@erwartungstk You're misunderstanding what he said. Yes you don't need to tune up to F# like Marr, but you *do* need to tune slightly flat if you're going to play with the record -- because the record is a little bit flat. That's why it sounds so horrible here.
@mynameisjonas321 hear it and take it! Maybe can i write a tab, but i'm not really sure. In the disc marr recorded two guitars at least. In live he plays only one. I used live records to hear and take the riffs. It's not too hard.
@greyreview i don't know if this is a congratulation o you wanto to say which when i play, all we want forget my sound and bring to us to the absolut master Marr. jajaja.
the recording isn't tuned to A440 therefore you have to adjust the guitar to match. But only Marr can do that, he is genius, you are not

@TheBeginnersnow
what? its tuned up to F# . every smiths fan knows johnny marr never tunes down. he tunes up or just uses standard. CAPO
IdRatherbeDeaddd 1 year ago
@IdRatherbeDeaddd The frets he's playing it on would work in a half step down tuning. Not the way Marr plays but the same pitches.
