What a dreamy little gem of a song. I never heard this song till now. Thanks so very much for the treat and such a good quality version of the song too. Thanks for the gem !!!
Beautiful song. I've seen Ronnie sing this song the few times I've seen her. I am going to see her next month and I hope she does this song again. This is a true winner and I never heard this when I was a kid so I truly appreciate it now. This should've been a winner for the girls.
Are all the ads that have been put in front of every song posted on UTUBE going away AFTER Christmas or do we have to endure them before the song even starts? Just wondering?
@kittyx32009 ...........have to agree with you completely..........somebody has posted on-line what they belive this song is really about...........dont know if it is true or not but it certainly is interesting..........can be found at "austentayshus australiana damo3805" and press "see all" to find the comments. regards.
@desert3347 Yes, I've always said that one of the things that set them apart, even from The Supremes, was the fact that they were so very close to one another. They really were more like three sisters than two sisters and a cousin.

Welloweeeee, Thanks so much for the info on that interview. I would think about it from time to time abd couldn't figure out why I couldn't find it on the net. Thanks again, Barney
God, what sonic heaven. Ronnie sings with such deep sincerity and feeling that it's hard not to fall in love. Her voice kind of wobbles, but God she oozes such sexuality and innocence, and I never ever get tired of listening to this. I go into a kind of heaven and the dreamy strings sound like romantic heaven to me. Thanks for listing, raredoowop!
barney2825: You're referring to a TV documentary by a New York guy -- that I first saw back in the 80's. Ronnie said in her interview on that video something like that "Phil apparently took the song too seriously and he did just lose his mind."
Somewhere out there theres a clip of a interview with Ronnie and she speaks in depth about this song. She claims Phil wrote it just for her. They play the song at the very end of the interview with film of a red airplane flying in the sky. Really liked it the first time I heard it.
@barney2825 That video is on here. It's a Spector documentary from 1983.The song came out in 1964 and became the flip side of I Can Hear Music in 1966.It's a beautiful song. One of the the few Phil wrote solo on for The Ronettes.
@jennifersenn That documentary is called HE's A REBEL and was great--it aired on PBS--and Rodney Bingenheimer--a DJ from KROQ, Los Angeles narrated it.
SWEET ! and George Harrison at 0:37 :)

extremely typical phil spector "music & arrangement"
this is soooo his "sound." Love it.......
agree completely with "desert3347": Phil Spector was such a musical genius. But, you know what they say: genius is on the edge of insanity.

I'm not sure but....
Spector loved Wagner....that's one of the reasons why he made these little symphonies for the kids. :-)

correction on my own comment....this group initially formed in Dec. '57

Gorgeous song and delivery. Pity, though, that Estelle and Nedra didn't sing on this one.
