  • Ronnie look beautiful on that last picture!!

  • Boys and girls, this is what we used to call a slow-dancing song!

  • Beautiful song. I've seen Ronnie sing this song the few times I've seen her. I am going to see her next month and I hope she does this song again. This is a true winner and I never heard this when I was a kid so I truly appreciate it now. This should've been a winner for the girls.

  • Are all the ads that have been put in front of every song posted on UTUBE going away AFTER Christmas or do we have to endure them before the song even starts? Just wondering?

  • ♥ .

  • Une voix qui ne vous lâche plus

  • You always amaze me dear friend....this is on of them..what a complete song..

  • @elisa412 ,Elisa my friend .it's my pleasure & thank you,

  • extremely typical phil spector "music & arrangement"

this is soooo his "sound." Love it.......

agree completely with "desert3347": Phil Spector was such a musical genius. But, you know what they say: genius is on the edge of insanity.

  • @kittyx32009 ...........have to agree with you completely..........somebody has posted on-line what they belive this song is really about...........dont know if it is true or not but it certainly is interesting..........can be found at "austentayshus australiana damo3805" and press "see all" to find the comments. regards.

  • THE MIGHTY RONETTES..WONDERFUL

  • I Cant Figure Out How A Crazy Man Can Write Such "Beautiful" Songs, Create "The Wall Of Sound", I Just Dont Get It!!

What a Beautiful Song............Ronnies Voice Give Me Chills.

  • best music to have a good sex ever.

  • THANKS FOR UPLOADING Good sound quality for this old recording.

  • @sloofuss . I'm glad you enjoy this great version & .this is my pleasure ,,

  • I'm So in love with Ronnie Spector WOW

  • I guess they don't make any slow dance music any more.

  • Was that George Harrison standing in one of the pictures? Sure looks like him.

  • @dasbigboy Yes, it's George. Estelle dated him for awhile.

  • Isn't that "Tristan and Isolde" Liebestod quoted on the strings at the end of the song.Very approriate. What talent.

  • @brotherjulius

    I'm not sure but....

Spector loved Wagner....that's one of the reasons why he made these little symphonies for the kids. :-)

  • correction on my own comment....this group initially formed in Dec. '57

  • Gorgeous song and delivery. Pity, though, that Estelle and Nedra didn't sing on this one.

  • AKA The Darling Sisters- 1958-1967 BTW....does anyone know what happened with Estelle's first marriage?

  • Phil Spector being very personal and honest in one of his songs.......

  • You had me at 'hello'. Incredible words here CMR.

  • Ahh, Nedra...when I saw you...

  • Standing there Holding Hands in White, Is Beyond Words.

    God, What a Beautiful Famly : )

Estelle's Eyes Always Looked "Distant" To Me. Even In Her Younger Pictures.

  • @desert3347 Yes, I've always said that one of the things that set them apart, even from The Supremes, was the fact that they were so very close to one another. They really were more like three sisters than two sisters and a cousin.

  • @desert3347 Yes, I've always said that one of the things that set them apart, even from The Supremes, was the fact that they were so very close to one another. They really were more like three sisters than two sisters and a cousin. About Estelle...you are not the only one to think so....she was just "that way".

  • Great song and great group! Back when Spector was a master and the music was the best!

  • haunting vocals superb sound

  • Welloweeeee, Thanks so much for the info on that interview. I would think about it from time to time abd couldn't figure out why I couldn't find it on the net. Thanks again, Barney

  • Thank you so much for posting this song....just beautiful. Ronnie can sing doo-wop, rock & roll -- just anything at all. Ronettes forever. :)

  • Man, doesn't this just make you want to take Nedra and make out with her in the back seat...

  • @LesbianVampireLover Maybe...rather have gone out with Estelle!

  • God, what sonic heaven. Ronnie sings with such deep sincerity and feeling that it's hard not to fall in love. Her voice kind of wobbles, but God she oozes such sexuality and innocence, and I never ever get tired of listening to this. I go into a kind of heaven and the dreamy strings sound like romantic heaven to me. Thanks for listing, raredoowop!

  • lamincode....Thanks for the reply. I was wondering if anybody else had seen that piece. Can't find it though. Will continue to hunt for it. Barney

  • barney2825: You're referring to a TV documentary by a New York guy -- that I first saw back in the 80's. Ronnie said in her interview on that video something like that "Phil apparently took the song too seriously and he did just lose his mind."

  • This is my favorite Ronettes song. Ronnie's singing just melts....very romantic.

  • This is just mindblowing....total sonic brilliance.

    Ronnie I love you...

no one can phrase a line in a song, as well as Ronnie...she is the greatest.

  • I love it!!

  • @GNRSlashLover yes a good song.

  • Somewhere out there theres a clip of a interview with Ronnie and she speaks in depth about this song. She claims Phil wrote it just for her. They play the song at the very end of the interview with film of a red airplane flying in the sky. Really liked it the first time I heard it.

  • @barney2825 thank you for your info,

  • @raredoowop Your very welcome. Thanks for posting the song in the first place.

  • @barney2825 That video is on here. It's a Spector documentary from 1983.The song came out in 1964 and became the flip side of I Can Hear Music in 1966.It's a beautiful song. One of the the few Phil wrote solo on for The Ronettes.

  • @barney2825

That was from a British documetry about Phil Spector, from about 1987. I would love to see that again.

The red bi-plane rolls over and over in time to Ronnies words...great stuff!

  • @wellohmeeeeeee This documentary is here on YouTube. I forgot the title of it, just look up Phil Spector.

  • @jennifersenn That documentary is called HE's A REBEL and was great--it aired on PBS--and Rodney Bingenheimer--a DJ from KROQ, Los Angeles narrated it.

  • WONDERFUL!
