The soul.....the essence of us as humans and of the universe. These are some beautiful images Wayne. I especially love the ones with nature and light. There's always a light at the end of the tunnel. I try to be an optimist as much as possible! 5 stars!! Your friend, Kim
One of my favourite authors, Lewis Mumford, wrote it in the opening pages of his first book The Story of Utopias (1922,) I've only read a couple of chapters but very profound stuff. (actually available online for free)
Smiles upon seeing the ongoing, pulsating light within this lovely vid, Saint..tiz like a soul's respite now. Before watching this last night I spent time staring at the gray, eerie Dust to Dust photo of Melbourne. So sad. And then this: very timely and perfect, Saint. There is comfort in our connection to Mother Earth and to each other; tho it surely is not easy for you to think on what has passed, this does help. Life continues; love and all the best to you and yours, Saint.
The pulsating light is all of us whether spirit or essence. We all belong somewhere.
It's a dark time alright, Liz. The mood in Victoria is very sombre; it really has affected us all. I think the Dust to Dust photo I posted at SYC really does give you a sense of the life and death struggle that we are all too painfully aware of. It's been dropped on us and like any community, we are feeling it as one.
Thx, River. I felt it appropriate at this time to look beyond suffering and characterize sanctuary. I have tried to meld soul as both spirit and psyche. Both lead to an old and familiar place: one dwells in the heart, the other is part of everything. Both leads one out of the wilderness to find the haven where we all belong, you know? Essence.
I could have sat in front of the camera and bored everyone to tears talking about it but I thought i'd do it in my own iniminiminiminable way. :)

It recalls the phrase "the will-to-utopia causes men to live in two worlds"

What an appropriate phrase! Do you recall who said it?

There's always a light at the end of the tunnel, Gertie, you can't miss it. It'll find you. :)

Great use of effects. Each photo shows a place where each of us can find a different facet of one's soul.

She's a beauty mate! That's just what we needed most right now, a comforting distraction from the 'storms' in your midst. Thank you for that Wayne.:)

Thx, Dave :). I needed to do this as you can imagine. You are right about "distraction" it was meant to be a bright offering in a dark time.
