Cancer patients might not necessarily die...

For example, a bone tumour might mean you have to have a limb amputated.

Christians might prey for someone to be cured of bone cancer. If the chemotherapy, radiotherapy and other treatments work, the Christians will say 'praise God!'

Why wouldn't they even bother to prey for someone to regrow a limb after it is amputated in an accident?

....because God never heals amputees.
