  • If you are talking about the response with the *seesaw effect* [more depression or negative attitude stimulated by the stimulant med], that response happens with either AMP or MPH [amphetamines or methylphenidate] products based upon down regulation of the serotonin. That reaction appears quite unrelated to the specific AMP or MPH. If you drop in the PM with Adderall consider dialing it up with ur doc for the 8-10 hr DOE [type DOE into the Search at CorePsych Blog for more complete info.].

  • @DrCharlesParker Well first you have to consider what type of medication it is first, correct?...for either AMP or MPH generic or extended release.

  • Hello Mr. Parker,

The reaction to SSRI's and SNRI's that you described was a lot like what happened to me when I took Vyvanse 30mg but maybe less drastic. I switched to Adderall XR 15mg because of what I read about the l-amphetamine and ADHD-PI. It's definitely more effective but sometimes I struggle with school, concentration, and the later part of the day(comedown). Any advice or relevant diagnostic info would be very much appreciated.
