That guy is trying to explain retinal fatigue (bleaching) caused by neuronal suppression in the retinal layers and colour adaption which (eg) makes us perceive electric light as white when it should be yellow. These effects get in the way of seeing green flash, but it does exist. Nice fly-on-the-wall clip.
